I was one of the first purchasers of the original S22i Studio Cycle, and while I really liked the bike, there were some small things that at times were a bit annoying like slow loading of programs, delays to build a video buffer, and occasional wi-fi disconnects. I also enjoy the coached studio workouts, though I usually DJ myself and solely turn up the trainer volume (so that you can hear their voice but your music). I will mention that with my recent machine update, there is music through FeedFM (?) streaming for the ride, but it's not like the coach mentions the music/it's not integrated into the workout. Perhaps for people trying to simulate a studio class where the coach DJs, Peloton is preferable?To sum up, features of this that I am particularly pleased with are the global workouts/scenery, auto incline and resistance, and variety of the IFit library.

The fan (which is great!) also seems to vibrate excessively on speed 1, but higher levels are fine.My only real quibble, and it's a very minor one, is that if you use Strava to track your outdoor biking stats, there is no real iFit sync. You need to download each "ride" from the iFit site and upload it to Strava manually using a PC, which does get you basic stat tracking, but not to the extent that Peloton does.Overall, I am thankful to Nordictrack/Proform for producing such a great product, and I can't believe I'm saying this because I've owned some really low quality Proform elliptical machines in the past. As someone who used to ride a stationary bike on a fluid-style trainer during the off season and didn't really enjoy it, I am seeing much better results with the s15i, and of course, its much much MUCH more fun.

I was ready for a horror show of assembly and terrible customer service so I chose the Amazon assembly professional to come to the house: great idea definitely just do this for yourself. I chose the assembler in case there was any problems when the product got delivered to me then they would notice it record it and it would be their problem to get you a working bike; circumventing the need to deal with customer service and having to return a big bike in a big box. He never has a problem dealing w N track and he rarely has to come out for the bike. He said if there isn't a missing part (rare) and the software boots up fine, you will be fine and happy. So really, just pay the $89 for piece of mind and any possible problems out of the gate will be handled by Amazon.IFit: Everything reviewers complain about and like about Ifit on the bike is true. It's infuriating that it's such a sloppy mess with the user interface because the scenic rides are what I bought it for and they are incredible. Seriously app developers: get your s**t together for such an expensive bike. But scenic rides are high quality and it's so nice to have a trainer teaching about technique especially prepping to do outdoor rides. I like Ryan Petry for example, who is really helping me think about form and how to use my arms to take the pressure, where to place my hands on the bike/when, especially with going uphill on rugged terrain outside.I wish the bike had more options for sliding forward as I still feel little bit uncomfortable like I'm too far back and there's no way to move it forward. Like others have said the incline / decline is loud and will wake the dog, but other than that it's a quiet ride if it's flat. The weights are nice, The fan is awesome, it's a feature that everyone's like wow when they experience it. The seat is absolutely horrible, right now we're trying a bikearoo replacement. I was nervous about switching not buying the peloton because it's so hyped up. Look on YouTube for hacks on how to get the peloton app on your Nordic track for $13.99 a month if you really want it. I like that you can use your own shoes for this bike. I don't think you need to buy any mat; we have it on hardwood floor and it's solid, no wobbling. And It's nice to be able to take the music totally off and just focus on the trainer and the ride in the landscape. What's nice about the scenic rides is that they combine back view of the trainer with aerial footage and footage from the side looking at the trainer so you get to actually experience a lot more landscape than just a drone on a trail that never looks left or right. And there's so much natural history and cultural information given you don't notice you're exercising and you really feel like you're traveling with a tour guide - that's just amazing, especially during Covid when we can't travel. I bought this for my travel wanderlust and it is certainly doing the job. I think maybe the customer service problems were because of the Covid slam, as he says he never hears any complaints and they are very responsive and they send out parts way faster than Amazon.So don't get scared by all the negative reviews. I was but now I feel happy with this. I was not paid to write this, I just did way too much reading and YouTube comparison watching and sweated this decision not to go with the peloton so much, I just want to help anyone else in the same position since it's an expensive purchase and you'll be on the bike a lot. When you're watching the screen riding on a road, and you see a hill is coming up. Next thing you feel is the bike changing angle and it feels just like you're going up a hill, the pedals get harder to turn and the front gets raised up. Then as you crest the top of the hill, and you start going downhill the pedaling gets easier and the angle shifts downwards. It also works well for in the studio workouts they can also control both to make it a challenge. You can change the auto settings if you need to; I did a lot of that when I started.2) SmartAdjust – This works hand in hand with the number one Auto Settings. Let me explain what I know so far on it. As the workout adjusts your incline and resistance if you increase or decrease these auto adjustments during the workout. A message will pop up and say it will make these changes for you for the rest of the workout. So, if you're having a hard time and lower the resistance during a workout it will try to predict how much to lower the auto adjustment to make it more of a custom workout for you, so you won’t have to keep lowering every time. This is a tough thing to test I have it enabled on mine, and I have noticed I am not adjusting as much as I did when I started. So, while I think it is working, I’m not sure how much difference it makes cause the more you ride the less you would adjust also. I wish it gave a report how many times it modified things for you then you would know how you're progressing also. I do like this feature, and I think it is helping me get started without having to make so many adjustments manually.3) The location-based workouts are great; I just did a Venice beach light festival workout last night. The instructor was great telling you all about this weekly event and telling you about what is going on around you. The video was great to watch it was just like you were there. All the different bikes were lit up, and people were riding all kinds of things. They had everything lit up, jackets, glasses, it was a great workout I ended up doing just over 7 miles in 30 minutes.4) The bike is solid, no noise from the pedals or from the wheel moving.5) Bluetooth support for ear buds, and heartrate monitors. I use both of these during my workouts.6) Nice fan to cool you off its built in it right below the monitor and it has 4 different settings 1-3 for power of the fan, and a fourth for auto fan so the system and increase and decrease the power based on how hard you're pushing.7) Both the seat and the pedals are using standard bike parts so they can be replaced with any standard seat or pedals if you wanted to change them.Con List:1) Price - But for me it is worth the price2) No on/off switch - you have to pull the plug or use a smart outlet.3) Can't load other programs on tablet (officially)4) I have wide feet - so I replaced the pedals with my old exercise bike pedals that fit my feet.5) Seat - That thing was killing me lol. So, I replaced it with a nice soft one until I can get in better shape.6) Bluetooth – This might get a software fix but for some strange reason my ear buds connect automatically every time I put them out of the case, and I don’t have to do anything at all. But my heartrate monitor never seems to auto connect I always have to select it in the settings during my warmup before the workout every time not a huge issue, but it is an added step. Now will this connect on its own once the workout starts, I’m not sure I haven't let it go that far since I don’t want to be messing around with settings during a workout if it doesn’t.I've never been good at adjusting the settings to challenge myself, but with iFit and the instructor being able to remote control the resistance with the incline/decline settings it pushes me to try. As I get better, I have noticed I am not turning down the resistance anymore and I'm only turning down the incline sometimes. I’ll be honest I was out of shape when I started and I kept thinking this is impossible, even my arms hurt during the workout, and I would have to keep moving my hands on the handlebar. I have been doing at least one workout a day since I got it and sometimes even two if they are quick workouts. Do yourself a favor and don’t compare yourself to the leaderboard, I have mine filtered to my age group and to the last 30 days only.I started saying I was going to do a workout every day for the first 30 days, so it becomes a habit and was it hard yes it was, but I made it through the 30 days and I’m still doing a workout a day (I did skip one day after the first 30 days so far to be honest) I am really glad I purchased this bike over some of the others. Love this bike! Extremely smooth action, white glove setup was perfect and I was riding right after! The screen is large enough to focus on the iFit trainer content for a virtual ride anywhere in the world! Another reason I love this so, the trainer video content is very diverse, engaging, educational and entertaining! Keeps me focused and the workout is done before you know it and leaves you wanting more! But, I have to get off and go to work sometime! 😆
My S15i that I purchased in early 2020 had died. (After a fly-wheel replacement it just started going downhill and I blame the repair company, every time they "fixed" something, it just got worse. ) So time for a new one. Although I don't 'need' that big of a screen, it is really cool. The bike is the same as my original, except a little quieter in the motor. I like that the pedals have changed to a multi-platform style since I had replaced the pedals on the old one to accommodate SPD shoes. (After a fly-wheel replacement it just started going downhill and I blame the repair company, every time they "fixed" something, it just got worse. ) So time for a new one. Although I don't 'need' that big of a screen, it is really cool. The bike is the same as my original, except a little quieter in the motor. I like that the pedals have changed to a multi-platform style since I had replaced the pedals on the old one to accommodate SPD shoes. Not new to NordicTrack, but this is my first spin bike. Setup was easy. I was up and running in under 30 minutes. The tablet is as responsive as my smartphone screen. Workouts load within 3-5 seconds on my wifi 5G network. Not a fan of the seat , so I bought an aftermarket one. Some may find it ok. Fan is loud at its highest setting, but the air movement makes up for it ( I've also got the new x16 elliptical and its fan speed is much quieter on Level 3). I use earbuds so I don't even notice it. Speakers are of good quality. Overall it is a fine piece of kit.
I got into the home exercise bike fad a bit late, and I understand that during the height of the pandemic, bikes such as this were in high demand. I wanted a home bike for cardio during the winter, and after much research between Peloton, NordicTrack, and a couple of others, I went for the NordicTrack. I did see some negative reviews for the 2020 model, but the 2021 model (the one I purchased) made several enhancements and I have found the bike to be almost perfect.I'm surprised at how much enjoy the very wide selection of programs, either interactive or recorded, in which you follow along with an instructor who is biking "with you" at any number of locations around the world. I love the built in fan, water bottle storage, and perhaps above all else, the automatically adjusting resistance and incline that align with the riding activity on-screen.Only negatives are a seat that's a bit too hard, and occasionally makes noise while riding. Other than that, I've found the bike to be well contructed and easy to operate. Linking it to my wi-fi and the iFit (NordicTrack's owner) app was a breeze.I highly recommend paying the extra for the option to have technicians assemble it. A team of two took just over an hour to place it assemble it, and hand it over to me. Well worth it! I'm sure it would have taken me the better part of a day, and probably with a great deal of frustration.
The bike was delivered and assembled for me. A very industrious pair of men worked hard on it for two hours, the night before Thanksgiving Day. I rode the bike 6 straight days, enjoyed the updated displays, on some of my favorite rides with the old bike. The new bike is tougher, registering less watts for the resistance I’m used to, but that’s just an adjustment for me to make. The bike has two sided pedals with a cage on one side and snap on pedals for cleated bike shoes on the other side. The larger screen is great as well. I like it.
