Nostalgia SM32RR Slush Drink Maker, 950ml, Retro Red | General

Makes the drink very very salty. Maybe I did something wrong but I put the salt that asked for and the water in the part that said water and salt and holy moly it was salty. I tried with less salt and it didn’t freeze

The first time I used it I ended up breaking a part of it. Much of it is plastic. I contacted customer service and that went great. They sent me a new part with no hassle. With the new part I tried it again and was a little more careful...I also was more aware about how it was suppose to work. This time everything went fine. The slush is a very soft consitancy..perhaps I could have let it run a little longer to get a thicker slush. It was good regardless.The maximum quantity is a quart. When I was buying it I never found that information. For a person or two this would be fine....but for a party or many people, someone would have to tend the machine for a while.The machine is mostly plastic. I made coke slushies and root beer ones. Root beer turned out way better then coke. I wonder why. Any ways- it does what I need it to do but it is loud and a task to keep it clean. That’s why I gave it 45 stars. But I do recommend it.

Definitely takes a bit longer than I thought to make the actual slush itself. Used it twice and was somewhat happy with the result. Just expect a long wait time when making it. Nothing quick about making it

This slush maker was not good at all. It came with a small crack, but I don't think it hindered the way it worked. This thing is super loud and takes more than 15 minutes to create a slushy mix or sometimes it doesn't make slush at all. Would not buy again.

Doesn’t work the way it says

The ice doesn’t shave even close to being shaved. It leaves chunks of ice in the drinks. So you get more of a drink with crushed ice then a slushy. We’ve tried it multiple times with different drinks and hasn’t worked the way we wanted any of the times.

Good buy

Great fast,ready ten minutes. Tried juice and Kool aid. Taste and looking like store made. Looks cheap but does the job. Let’s see how long it last

Loud yummy slushy goodness

My wife picked up this Retro Slush Maker for me as a birthday present - knowing I have always been a slush addict. It doesn't disappoint and it turns most things to slush. Alcoholic beverages are hit and miss. A cider you can get away with due to the high sugar content but adding spirits doesn't really give the desired effect. I find it's best to make your slush and then add the booze. My sister came over and we sunk a pack of WKD blue into it and it worked a treat! It tastes much better frozen than it does normally so that's a bonus. Two negative things to mention are that you have to clean it almost immediately after use or it will rust. The noise is almost unbearable for me. If it was quieter I admit I would use it more. I cannot see it lasting, the build quality is very poor but for the immediate future you will have slushy good times.

Makes great slush drinks

I found that this setup is much more convenient to use than any of the manually turned/operated slush machines I have used previously. It is easy to setup, easy to break down and clean and the product it produces has a nice even velvety texture. The only downside and why it gets four not five stars is that it is quite noisy. Not to the point that I won't use it, but you definitely are aware of it while it is running. Otherwise and excellent product which I highly recommend.

For anyone who is considering this... go for it! Ive bought two of these and can say 100% they do what they say, so if you love a slush your going to love this. My aunty got one for her birthday and after trying it I fell in love, so I bought one for my mums birthday. She loved it, we all did. So I've now bought my sister in law one for Christmas and I'm sure she will love it to. As soon as the children come round it's the first thing they ask for. Do be warned they take alot of ice but they are not like your average slush from the shop down the road. No these are like the original american slushes.
