The Vic Firth Nova sticks are great value and bear up to hard use. My review has to include Graham Russell drums as the service you get whether at their incredibly well stocked shop or online, is always superb, whatever your drum needs are. Well done to them and thanks.

Basically, the same sticks as the 5AN classics from Vick Firth.They don't have as thick a lacquered finish but to reduce cost they work well.I have yet to find "Wobblers" like you would find with ProMark at twice the price.

I've used these sticks for years, when they were available by the 12 pair brick. I'm not a purest that rolls every stick to see if they match. The biggest problems are: they don't generally weigh the same, the tip chipping/breaking off is something you can pretty much plan on. I rarely break these sticks on the shaft, but I trashed a ton because of the tips. When I was buying them by the brick, they were cheap enough that it wasn't as big of a deal. And they were great for giveaways. Now that the 12 pair brick has been discontinued, I've gone to another vendor and ordered about 4 packs of bricks to see if any of them will fly. I would never buy these by the pair. The fact that the sticks are seconds (Vic Firth mistakes/oddballs), should be a red flag. BTW, in the description, they make it sound like these are Vic Firth sticks that have been rejected, but in actuality these are just a lower quality product that Vic Firth/Zildjian company manufactures. Vic Firth sticks are guaranteed to be straight, so I wrote to them about receiving warped NOVA sticks and this is their exact reply "The NOVA sticks are our economy line of drumsticks and they don't go through the same quality control process as our premium line of sticks (which would go through vigorous quality checks to ensure a perfect pair). The NOVA sticks are weight matched and sleeved." ....So, be aware that NOVA does not reject the warped sticks from the factory.
We moved recently, and although the cowbell followed us, the drumsticks did not. These sticks fit the bill nicely and the clearance price plus free shipping made them a fabulous deal. If you have something to percuss o but have nothing to peprcuss with, give these a try.
Just another Galaxus type thing, not only did a single pair of drumsticks comin in a GIANT BOX, big enough to fit a microwave, but the sticks are not at all the same as what they show in their images. Typical Galaxus/Digitec isues.
Avoid the Nova sticks. They are basically Vic Firth seconds and most companies would burn them. A 'pair' have different weights and tone. Both have splits in the wood and one is bent. Better to spend more for angòd pair.
These are blemished Vic Firth sticks, but In Perfect shape. If you go through a lot of sticks, get these. They aren't bent, or some other malfunction, just a little odd looking and hard to pair for the maximum price. So save yourself some money and get these. They're just like your other super pretty Vic Firths, but cost less. Still the high quality stick.
I've given these sticks a five star rating, but to put it into context they are the only sticks I've ever had, so not exactly an expert in the field. They're definitely better sticks than I am a drummer.
I ordered the drum sticks on line to deliver to the store. The sticks arrived early and I received text notification they arrived.The sticks look and feel good. The nylon heads to the drum sticks had a small edge in the head from the mold. I sanded the seam off with some fine sandpaper.
