Now Foods Adam Superior Men's Multi 120 Tablets

Bought the 90 softgels as a test to see if I'd like them. Now just ordered the 180. These are a great product. The outside of the softgel has a hint of cinnamon which is a happy surprise compared to my last multi which tasted like chalky mustard. Also, I love the fact that it's in a softgel. I don't take a lot of pills and it's really not easy for me to slam back a huge solid pill. The fact that this is a softgel makes it extremely easy for me to get this pill into my system. I did find though, that if you took both of the recommended daily dose with one meal you would feel tired. What I do is I usually take one with my first meal at around 7:30am and then the second with my "lunch" at around 12:30-1pm. Previously I used another multivitamin (vitamins A, C and E + selenium and zinc) which kept my immune system up and running in every situation so I wouldn't catch a cold and fall ill. My only explanation is that ADAM isn't that good for immunity boosting. The pills are very larger and when you think about it they're very hard to digest so I wonder how much did actually went straight through my digestive tract and down the toilet? I already reverted to my old multivitamin, it did the job well, I wasn't ill for more than a year. The reason I decided to switch was for the extra vitamins I was missing but I can order those separately. With all said, I can't recommend ADAM at least not the tablets, maybe it would have been different with capsules which disintegrate much easily. EDIT 2: One way to make this work is to grind the tablet into powder and mix it with my protein shake or split it in half and take with some time in between. I'm pretty sure this works way better than simply swallowing the tablet. With the powder form I feel way energetic and resilient to cold weather and every day stress. I'm still not buying again since it's a bit time consuming grinding the tablets every morning.

Also, it has no iron; since I'm a meat-eater that doesn't plan on bleeding out anytime soon, I really don't like the idea of consuming even more iron in my pills. This is an important difference between "store-brand" pills and others- most drug store products have iron, sometimes quite a bit. The price point-per-dose is reasonable, considering the extra herbal ingredients, though with little information regarding potency or "freshness" of the herbal components. Because of this, I typically disregard most of the "concentration" values for non-minerals, unless the company routinely tests vitamin batches.
