NuFACE Mini+ Starter Kit - Violet Dusk

I got this product to give an honest review. I’ve heard of NuFACE a while ago and was always intrigued about using micro current products so this was a great surprise for me to receive one. I was very excited and I did a lot of research before receiving the product on the does and don’t of using the NuFACE mini +. I have recently gotten Botox on my forehead and I made sure not to use the product on my forehead as well as not using it around my thyroid area. As someone who has a hard time keeping up with a routine, I will say that using this everyday is a challenge because it does add onto my skincare routine time and sometimes you’re not in the mood to massage your face for 10 minutes (I will try to incorporate it more once I get used to it). The first time I used this product I did use it on the first setting and I saw very minimal results and I didn’t feel any kind of sensations. The next time I used the third setting and I noticed immediately after using it on my neck my skin was red and I did feel a muscle twitch in my ear. When I used it on my face I also got a bit redness and a few zaps when the gel was drying up. The redness doesn’t bother my because my skin is very reactive to touch or heat, I just have very fair and sensitive skin. The zaps also don’t bother me they don’t hurt if anything I feel like a muscle twitch in my eye and it’s normal because I know it’s just because of the micro-currents. I did notice that my face looked less puffy and more firm overall and I do think it is a short-term affective product. If you want it to be long-term affective you do need to use it more often and consistently. I do like the gel it comes with but you can definitely use any other gel product as a replacement because it is quite pricey. I also think the size is very convenient for traveling or just having it around rather than the full size. Overall I love this product it will be with me for years and I’m glad I have an app as well to keep track of my progress and have more details and tricks on how to use the product.

Great product, love the size

Microcurrent Device Worth Trying!

I received the NuFACE+ Mini+ Petite Facial Toning Device from Influenster and NUFACE in exchange for my honest review. The NUFACE+ Mini+ Facial Toning Device is a mini smart micro current device with three intensities that overtime is supposed to help lift your face and improve the contours of your face. The device is free of potentially irritating ingredients (i.e. parabens, formaldehyde, etc.) and is vegan and cruelty-free. The set came with the device, the power adapter, the NuFACE Aqua Gel, the NuFACE Silk Crème, a brush applicator, and the user manual / guide. I was so excited to receive and test out this product! To use this product, they recommend that you first cleanse using an oil-free cleanser. Afterwards, you apply a thin layer (mask-like layer) in one area at a time and then go in with the device. I would move the device in each area three times and increase the intensity each time. I would focus on my forehead, my cheek area, and the sides of my neck. I was a little nervous how I was going to incorporate this into my routine and I initially thought that this was going to be a lengthy step that I wouldn’t be interested in. I was wrong! I was shocked how easy and straight forward it was the first time I used it. The overall process only added about five minutes to my routine and it felt really luxurious and fun. While you won’t see much use after the initial use, after consistent use you will start to see a difference. I noticed some changes around the 2.5 week mark, which seems consistent with other users. I did notice that some of the reviews experienced breaking out from the activator, so after use I always washed my face and never had an issue! The device also has an app which gives you access to exclusive modes, educational content, and tracking your progress. Overall, this is a fun and luxurious device to add to my routine. If you have concerns of aging or sagging skin, are interested in cosmetic procedures but don’t want to bite that bullet, or are simply interested in a microcurrent device, this is the one!

Nice Addition To My Skin Care Routine

For anyone else out there who has been having trouble pairing the NuFACE mini +, I found that when I was trying to pair in my bedroom with multiple other bluetooth devices there was interference (bluetooth outlet plugs and humidifier). Once I moved out of my bedroom, I was able to successfully pair the device to the app! I probably tried pairing it 20x before figuring this out - even did troubleshooting steps and tried resetting the device and recharging it for another 12 hours but nothing worked. Come to find out there was just interference! Once I got it connected to the app I enjoyed using this device and it was very user friendly! I selected the 5 minute facial lift treatment and I like that Tera Peterson walks you through exactly what you have to do step by step throughout the entire treatment process! It is so cool that this can be done virtually and on your own time. I received this product for free from Influenster and NuFace for my honest review. I am 28 years old and this is a great anti aging tool. It it is never too early to start! It definitely is a nice addition to my skin care routine and was not something I was incorporating into my routine before receiving this. I really like how my face looks after using it I felt like it made my face more toned and lifted and you could see that in the before and after pictures that you take within the app!

Serious Skin Care - Not Big Payoff

I have some *thoughts* about this product, and despite the low rating, I didn't actually hate the product nor do I not recommend it. First, the NuFACE Mini+ device itself. I used this about every other day for three weeks. As you can see from the images, I don't think it really did much. None of the fine lines on my forehead went away, and I didn't notice any lifting or tightening around my check bones or eyes. However, it gave me more of a chin and, of all results, I am extremely happy to have had this one. Moving on to the kit as a whole. As you might also be able to tell, my face *hated* the gel and cream. Within a week, I started breaking out, but because you have to use a conductive gel or cream for the device to work, I had to keep using them. As you might also be able to tell, my face *hated* the gel and cream. Within a week, I started breaking out, but because you have to use a conductive gel or cream for the device to work, I had to keep using them. I ended up using the device before I washed my face so that I could immediately get the gel off. You have to use *a lot* of the product, too, to keep from getting zapped from the device. The cream has a faint scent that my skin reacted to, but thankfully, I didn't seem to have an allergic reaction to the gel (which is a huge deal for my super sensitive skin). Lastly the app. This is a big miss for me. There are only a handful of routines, none of which focus on the forehead (the area I marked as the one I wanted to work on) and did not sync up with the device. You have to turn off the device in between instructions to apply more gel and know what to do next. This could be an easy win if they improve the functionality of the app including more routines, even to broaden the application of how you can use the device (I was thinking of experimenting for summer to see if this could help tone my abs - something I wish they had instructions for in the app). My biggest gripe with this device, though, is that it isn't something you can easily integrate into you daily routine (despite what they want you to think). It's not something that you swap out for something else you use (think a new toothpaste), add into your routine but takes no extra effort (like a serum before your moisturizer), or something that maybe takes some time to set up but saves you time and energy in the end (like a robotic vacuum). This is an investment that you have to work to see the results of (at least 5 if not 15 minutes a day, every day). You also have to know what you are doing to make sure you don't mess up your face. The point of this is to lift and remove wrinkles, but if you keep using the device at the wrong angles, you could end up doing damage to your face. Overall, I think there are a few people who would benefit from this the most: - if you have visibly sagging skin - if you are seriously considering plastic surgery to lift or remove fat from your face - if you have tried a microcurrent facial, liked the results, and are okay with doing this treatment yourself on a daily basis This is not for people who want an easy-to-use skin care device (like a facial cleaning device) or can't commit to adding something into their daily skin care routine that will actually take time to do. For all the effort it is to use this and with little payoff, the NuFACE Mini+ is not something I am going to continue using on a regular basis. I will pull it out a few weeks in advance of an event to help my bone structure pop for photos (I'll just be using it with a different conductive gel that my skin doesn't react to). In the meantime, I am going to pass this along to my mom and see if she has any better luck. *Thank you to Influenster and NuFACE for sending me a complementary product to test in exchange for a review*
