This is such a fantastic car seat. We decided to buy the Nuna Rava after extensively researching best car seats for extended rear facing. The Rava had incredible crash test results, some of the highest ratings for comfort, and great ease of use. My child seems to really enjoy riding in it and it is clearly very high quality. Installation was simple, we used the recommended belt installation and it took 10 minutes after reviewing the manual. The adjustments are easy to make to ensure the perfect fit. It's a very beautifully made item and I highly recommend it. I love that the Dillard's version has herringbone accents and is slightly lower priced than the standard options.

When our baby outgrew the Nuna pipa, there was no question in my mind that our next car seat would be a Nuna Rava. The Pipa was such a perfect car seat from the materials, the light weight to the ease of use we ended up buying two Ravas for both our cars when it was time to upgrade. The Rava on the other hand turned out to be an infuriating design that starts my morning off with biting my tongue while trying to strap my little one in.When you first open the box, you are greeted with a message that says “The Belt is better!” because this Nuna seat does not use your built in car seat latches in your car and involves a sumo wrestling match with the Rava to get it squished down into your seat and the car belt tightly through it. But you will find yourself doing this installation often because the car seat gradually works to one side of your automobile seat and upward from the upward tension of the belt on one side. So no.. the belt is not better. The straps on this constantly twist and hide twists behind the bulky strap pads. This will consume most of your time of trying to get your child buckled in as you undo the twisty puzzle in your morning daze. It's not because they are long straps. The straps are much shorter than other car seats and this will be very obvious as your child grows into a toddler. Like my Pipa, the Rava came with uneven cut straps from the factory so one side will always be slightly less snug than the other. The fabrics are nice but when your child throws up on it, you will need to dedicate a good hour to taking it apart oh yes, and sumo-wrestling mounting it back in your car.The fact that we bought a second one off the bat only makes me more embarrassed that I did not do my research and read the other 1 star reviews on here that echo my concerns with this car seat.

Generally I am not much a review person but given the facts that these help others, here it goes, this car seat is not only beautiful but also super functional designed for the comfort of your baby but also to make parents life easier, first the installation is super super easy you don't need to be an expert to put it on your car , i have a honda suv and it fits very well i didn't even have to move the front passenger seat . I love the fact that is recline , rummy and that I can also place and remove my baby from the seat without struggling with the straps , the material seems to be good quality . My baby used to cry and hate her previous car seat now not only go pleasantly to the places we take her, but she also falls asleep five minutes after being in her seat . ... MoreGenerally I am not much a review person but given the facts that these help others, here it goes, this car seat is not only beautiful but also super functional designed for the comfort of your baby but also to make parents life easier, first the installation is super super easy you don't need to be an expert to put it on your car , i have a honda suv and it fits very well i didn't even have to move the front passenger seat . Plush seat pads, collapsible cup holders, easy adjustable height and reclining options. Sold!I have a Prius and this fits forward facing just fine, however rear facing does take up some space but still doable.I also have a diono and didn’t realize all they extra instructions a car seat could have and was overwhelmed. Example: if forward facing child is under 30lbs do not add the cushion and make sure to adjust the bottom ….if over 30 lbs do this if rear facing under so and so do this other… I don’t want to remember when my child hits a certain height or weight to make all these adjustments to that particular car seat when I have multiple different ones. Oh and to retread the shoulder straps too… no thanks.Nuna-bulkier than some other seats on the market but ... MorePlush seat pads, collapsible cup holders, easy adjustable height and reclining options. Such a beautiful car seat! Love the color, but it is a little lighter in person, which I personally prefer. Love how easy the recline is and it fit in our small sedan on the most reclined setting rear facing without having to adjust the passenger seat much. Love the material and seems to be super comfy.I will say as some reviews have stated, the straps are fairly small..I am curious to see how this will work for my daughter as she gets older. Another con in our particular situation is that the seat sits a little high, so for our car(2021 Acura tlx) it makes it hard for us to put our daughter in the car(rear facing) even on the most reclined setting because of how the seat sits and the space between the roof of the car and the car seat is not that big so it makes it ... MoreSuch a beautiful car seat! We realize it would probably be easier if we had a bigger car, but our particular car is very compact. Another thing to check would be the manufacture date, ours was manufactured in 01/2022 which makes the car seat a year old upon arrival, we were okay with this so we decided to keep it, the date is located on the box in case the date is a big reason to return for anyone before opening the box since you are not able to return if box is opened.Overall we loved the car seat..the Oxford style is just so beautiful!
We were caught a bit off guard when it was time to upgrade from our infant car seat to our convertible car seat. We did a lot of research and talked with family and friends, and wanted a top-safety-rated car seat with functional features like easy install and cup holders. We decided to splurge on the Nuna Rava when Nordstrom was running their anniversary sale - the Refined color was $150 off, making its price exactly what we were looking to spend with other brands. We bought it, but I was worried because some people complained the fabric was scratchy. Turns out: there was no reason to be worried. They do use a canvas type material, but it’s much nicer than the Chicco car seat my baby has been in for the last year. It seems like it’ll be really easy to clean when the time comes. This car seat is beautiful, the fabrics are high quality, and it’s so easy to install.Since we alternate drop off and pickup at daycare, we decided to buy a second one for my husband’s car. We ended up purchasing the Caviar color (Nordstrom changed which one was on sale halfway through their anniversary sale, but it was discounted to the same price). The second car seat is the super soft fabric all over, but honestly I think the refined looks and feels nicer, and is a higher quality product overall.I know two high quality car seats is a splurge, but this car seat is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made for my baby and would absolutely recommend if your budget allows for it.
I never write bad reviews, but I sadly had to return our Rava. The straps are extremely small. At least in the caviar color. I noticed that a different color at the store seemed to have more strap length compared to the caviar color also on display. The fabric is nice. The quality is great. The straps were tiny and also got twisted really easily. And this was only my opinion after one try. My 11 month old barely had any slack and looked very uncomfortable, so we took him out and uninstalled it immediately. We have a Nuna stroller and Nuna Pipa RX LT and love both of them. Our Nuna infant seat has so much slack in the straps, I just don’t know what happened here. I gave it 3 stars, because the overall quality is great, but I don’t know how a toddler is supposed to ... MoreI never write bad reviews, but I sadly had to return our Rava. We absolutely love our Nuna RAVA’s! We have two of them (one for each car) and can’t say enough good things about this convertible car seat! Aesthetic aside (I’ll be honest - I was looking for a cute looking seat), the safety features on this car seat are top notch. We did pretty extensive research when choosing a convertible car seat, and the RAVA just made sense with its all-steel frame for added safety and protection as well as higher height and weight limits to keep our son rear facing as long as possible! My son is so comfortable in his seat, and we all love the cup holders which is an added bonus for when my son has a sippy cup with him.The seat is extremely easy to install, and is also approved for airline travel!Highly, highly recommend this car seat!
We used the nuna pipa lite lx infant seat along with the tavo stroller and LOVED IT - when my daughter was ready to move towards her big girl seat, we initially went with a Gracco. We did not like it at all - we ended up deciding to go with the nuna rava, because we knew we liked nuna products. The rava did not disappoint, she immediately felt comfortable in it, the install was easy, its better looking than most, and we love it! If you are undecided about it, just go for it. You won't regret it. Also, I have only used Dillar's for these two purchases (my stroller combo and this car seat) and it has been great. Great shipping and customer service. #sweepstakes
It’s a good sturdy car seat. My aunt gave my mom a Graco to use in her car but it doesn’t seem as sturdy or to go in as tight as my Rava. My son feels comfy in it and will usually fall asleep within 5 mins of being put in it. We switched him from his Uppa baby mesa to the Rava at 9 months. My only complaint was that little threads were coming coming up on the fabric. I contacted nuna and they did send replacement fabric but it took 3 months to get to me. As far as safety and longevity this is a great car seat and my next baby we will most likely buy this for them as a newborn. I hardly used my infant carrier with my first. I almost forgot the best part about the seat is it’s easy install. It takes me less than 5 mins to install it.
