I love my NutriBullet! My son tried to talk me into making this purchase a long time ago. I should have listened. Instead, I continued to use the shaker bottle with the annoying little silver mixing ball that never truly mixed my shake well and if I didn't hold the spout cover down would spray all over the place! My whole world opened up when I finally made this purchase!! I follow the ingredient loading instructions into the cup and boom! The powerful motor and blades turn my greens and fruit into the most delicious AND FAST breakfast smoothy. The package I purchased came with three bottles. Two 20 oz and one 32 oz - I think those are the sizes. I always use the big one because I pack my smoothies full of ingredients! I've had a few smoothie (personal) blenders. Yes, I know Vitamix is the gold standard (and it's collecting dust in the back of the cupboard) but their personal blender isn't great and I quickly realized all I blend 99.99% of the time are smoothies so I wanted something that had a small footprint so I could place easily in my cabinets after each use, light enough for me to pick up but most of all great at producing a grit free, smoothie and can pulverize ice easily (w/out needing a tamper or shaking the cup). This is that miracle smoothie maker. This is the ONLY smoothie maker I've used that easily blends all of my kale, frozen pineapple and ice cubes easily. I just purchased my third bullet pro. The latest one stopped working after 4 years. That seems to be the life span of these blenders with almost daily use. Love how fast it blends, it’s small, and compact, and comes in cool colors now. I bought mine on Amazon. Price was good.There are a few negatives, one it’s very loud. More concerning is rust from inside the blade housing has leaked into my drink several times. I don’t know how this is happening but I’ve had to dispose of several shakes because of this. My guess is moisture inside the blade housing. So make sure the blade housing is completely dry. Also, sometimes my protein power isn’t mixed thoroughly and I have clumps at the bottom of the cup. .Overall, it’s a good blender and performs well. For something that isn't exactly cheap, and in effect is little more than a reversed hand blender with a cup, must nail down user experience: blend, grab cup and go! However, the little plastic bits on the cup than depress the trigger system are quite small. You have to press fairly down strongly. Will they withstand a few years of operation?The cup plastic doesn't feel substantial at all, flexes if you squeeze it a little.The flip top lid is a farse!The flip part open, to me, doesn't feel secure. As you drink, it hovers over your face. I mean, who devised this?!The spout isn't great, as when you drink it doesn't take much to make a seal, akin to a water bottle. Whereas the original Smoothie 2 go lid, there's a vent hole which makes it straightforward to drink.The nutribullet's flip top design also occupies more volume whether in the cupboard or in the bag. Doesn't even look good for an aesthetics excuse. The smoothie 2go flip top keep itself flush open or closed.And that lip ring with handle?! The ring creates a really thick brim, about 0.4cm! Not pleasant. Nor me nor my partner like it at all. We don't thrust that handle either. So it won't be used.As the cup attachments are a bust, we decant it into the Smoothie 2go cups! Ah. go figure.This last part should've been nailed. Instead, its where I have substantial issues: this user's experience is terrible.I hope they release a different cup/lid system.Well, more like the Smoothie 2go. Even the ninja seems similar in that respect: the lid and buttons for operation.So I sit here and I now wish I'd gone for the equivalent ninja, or maybe for Kenwood to bolster the Smoothie 2Go with a 800W motor.Knowing what I know now, having taken the Smoothie 2 go slick design for granted, not getting in the way and looking solid, I'd have to have hands on testing before buying a replacement.In the mean time... what do I do with the Nutribullet 900?!

Second one O ring came off on first use and blade sliced the O ring. Had already gone through trouble so decided to just deal with the O ring coming off a few more times, blending power is good but the trouble with the seal and knowing that over time the underside of the O ring will build of grime and rotten food since it keeps detaching, returned again. Tried it a third time because I must not have learned my lesson and the third unit came used with a dark liquid on the blade assembly upon opening box for the first time. I don't know how others have so much problems with it but I have 2 which I cycle through the blending bases every 6 months.One person commented on the weight, yes it's heavy because it's a big 900 watt motor in there. The lighter products have a smaller motor which will be lighter with less power and faster to burn out or overload if you made a lot of smoothies or stuff it with a lot of ingredients.You need to put enough water or other liquid in for the blender to mix it properly especially if you're using frozen fruits. I have a technical background so my ears are more attuned to what to listen for.I make smoothies everyday and the blender runs less than a minute. That's how fast this beast chews everything up. Everything is put in is frozen and the motor struggles at times but I add more water and I pick it up and turn it side to side to help the ingredients move inside.I must say though, the blades do need a better design but I don't think it can be much better than it is.The bearing did go bad, I could hear the sound very increasingly louder and when you spin the blade I can hear the grinding of the bearing because it's lacking the grease.The grease had leaked out into my smoothie ( I drank it anyway).The gasket had come off a few times and got mixed into my drink but sure why. But luckily it didn't break.The tabs on my cup broke off due to wear and tear but understandable because I use it so much.I notice after awhile the coating inside the cup wears away, or the plastic in it just get so worn by the amount of product being beaten around in there that a film starts to build up that has to be scrubbed clean.In the beginning its super easy to clean the cup but I think it's the wear and tear of multiple uses that does.The gasket needs to be removed and cleaned in all the small grooves as well as inside the base where it sits.The blades needs to be scrubbed clean top and bottom although it's very difficult to get under the blade.I think I use it more than a typical user but overall I think it's well worth the money for what it is.I don't expect the blade or the cup to last extended use and would have to be changed accordingly.Same as vehicles and other mechanical products things do wear and have to be maintained this is not an exception.My 2 cents.
The Nutribullet is a great product for every household to own. However with each new model that is released they suffer from one major design flaw which has yet to be addressed.The blade contains a rubber seal ring that traps liquid and grime underneath it, with no easy way to clean. Overtime bacteria and mold will always grow underneath the rubber seal of the bladed lid.Nutribullet states the rubber ring should never be removed, however I have found over years of ownership of different models, this is the ONLY way to clean the blade properly.Constant removal of the rubber ring does cause the airtight seal to weaken over time.
