Nylabone Puppy Chew Bone Pink**

$7.60

(1,098 reviews)

This chew bone has been specially designed for puppies and their small milk teeth to teach them how to chew, featuring a delicious built-in scent that makes the bone very appealing. It is ideal for reducing the buildup of plaque and tartar on your puppy's teeth. Not suitable for dogs with adult teeth, except for very small dogs. This soft, durable nylon toy was created for puppies with their very first milk teeth. Its chicken flavor makes it irresistible. To excite your puppy with their new toy, simply scratch it against a hard, rough surface to activate the flavor, or bring an old bone back to life in the same way. To keep the toy clean, scrub it with a brush under lukewarm water using a mild, non-toxic detergent and rinse it thoroughly. Regularly check the bone to ensure it is whole and undamaged, with no missing pieces. Always replace it when the ends become worn or too small to be safely chewed.

A must for toy puppy breeds!

First off, love the pink color. I’m one of those annoying people who color coordinate everything so the pink bone is a huge thumbs up. The best part however is how much my two pound Chinese Crested puppy LOVES this thing! She’s in the stage where she wants to chew just about everything so I literally keep this on my nightstand so when she’s settling down for the night and wanting to chew my fingers, she gets this. Every time she goes for my hands, I give her this instead. It works and last night instead of even trying to nibble me, she grabbed it off the nightstand herself. Chewed it until she fell asleep. HUGE WIN!!

We purchased one of these for our 3 month old mini dachshund puppy. At first he showed no interest in it at all, it was in his pen with him most of the day and he did not care. One day, after only 1 or 2 hours of me being in the same room, but not watching his every move, I found about 1/4 of the bone is left. He has eaten all of that plastic. Needless to say immediately rushed puppy to the vet. Were told to monitor his poop for the next few days. Sure enough he kept pooping out little bits of the pink plastic. We were horrified, and our vet said to never by nylabone products again. We let our local natural pet food store, where it had been purchased know. They told us they have had many complaints and that they are pulling all Nylabone products from their shelves.

Another useless purchase.

I bought two items for my teething puppy that were useless. The tug toy and this nubby “flavored” bone. I don’t know where the flavor was, but I certainly didn’t smell anything. Neither did little Bellamy. The puppy had no interest in it whatsoever.

Didn’t last for even 30 minutes.

With having a 4 month old puppy teething obviously is kicking into full gear, I bought this with a few other Nylabone products and it didn’t even last for 30 minute.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR CHEWERS.I am happy he was sitting in my lap because I saw the chunk gone and called Chewy right away! Keep your babies safe and get solid teething toys from Nylabone, or rope toys but definitely would never recommend this bone specifically.

My puppy’s favorite chew toy
1 September 2024

My Chihuahua puppy loves this chew bone. She chews it more often than any of her other chew toys. I like that she can really gnaw on it with her puppy teeth. I don’t like the fact that she can chew off pieces of the rubber bone and swallow them. I watch her closely when I let her chew this bone and when she tears a piece off I quickly get it out of her mouth so she doesn’t swallow it.

I have a dachshund puppy that is 12 weeks old and I bought this yesterday. It did not last 24 hours. By lunch time today, blue chunks of the one were coming off and needed to be binned. Very very poorHe was trying to eat the parts of rubber that came off. Good job he was on the sofa with me

Small life span

I have a small dog, she has little teeth that can't handle how big most toys are. That's why I thought getting this toy was great; it's cheap and small, seems perfect to me. Well, it turned out to be not so perfect. She destroyed this toy within a week, only because I hid it from her for a few days. Half of it is in pieces around the house, there are little pink chunks in the carpet and corners. She is smart so she doesn't eat the chunks (thank God) but enjoys ripping them from the toy. I finally let it go and let it rest in pieces in the trash. If you have a destructive fur baby like mine, get a kong bone toy, the smallest one you can find (for small dogs). Those things are almost indestructible, my dog has been nawing on it for a day and there isn't even a stratch.

Teething Mainecoon kitten LOVED it

When my Maine coon started teething I pretty quickly got to my wits end- she was chewing on everything ? including me!! My friend suggested getting her some puppy teething toys and this was PERFECT, it was really easy to redirect her from my fingers to the bone, and she ended up demanding it go with her everywhere and it's still one of her favourite toys!

My 4 year old shih tzu is a tiny 7 pounder who is encouraged to use chew toys because it aids in good dental health, especially in small dogs. It is important to choose the appropriate size according to the mouth of your dog. My dog requires the smallest size in all chew toys. If it is too large, she will ignore it after a quick "test drive". Chewing on appropriate toys which have been designed for that purpose is good for dogs. They quickly grasp the "ownership" they have over the toy so that they are much more likely (with proper training) to chew on their own chewie toy rather than on your things. Most importantly in my opinion, chewing on this type of appropriate toy aids in keeping their teeth and gums healthy as well as a method for good self-calming and self- soothing. Small dogs tend to have far more dental issues, requiring expensive professional teeth cleaning every few years. Mine is 4 years old and still has not required a professional dental cleaning. Though eventually she will need this, I attribute her chewing of proper chewies since she was old enough to chew as one of the reasons for her good dental health, along with high grade DRY dog food with no feeding from the table. The toy should be removed and discarded when the little nubs show too much wear. I keep a handful of these chewies around the house and have a fresh supply of new ones stored away so that she never has to do without until I can get her a replacement chewie. There is also a chew toy out that looks exactly like a stick which comes in various sizes. The smallest size "stick" is another favorite of hers. However, the small but hard nylabone nylon chew toys are not something she will chew on, regardless of the flavor advertised, although my larger dogs have always loved them. These small, flexible chew toys are not appropriate for puppies or dogs with larger teeth or stronger jaws.
