NYX Professional Makeup Worth The Hype Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Black

I have tried tons of mascara brands from prestige to drugstore trying to find one that works well for me. I keep coming back to NYX Worth the Hype. Let me start by saying I have naturally long eyelashes and big fluffy brushes tend to work best for me. That’s the type of brush in this mascara. If you have shorter lashes it may not work well for you. It does take a few coats to get the look I like but I find that’s the case with any mascara I try. This mascara doesn’t tend to flake, clump or run. My skin, however, is not oily and I don’t wear any other eye makeup besides mascara. That may or may not determine its staying power. I received a deluxe sample of this NYX Worth The Hype Mascara from a recent Ulta online order. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I don’t think I’ll be buying it. The buildable formula is easy to apply and the thick bristled brush gets all of my lashes in one stroke. I truly love the fluffy volume it gives me and I love how affordable it is. My issue is the flaking. It flakes CONSTANTLY!!!!!!!! My picture show before and after applying (2 coat) and 7h after the application. No editing/ i did not touch my eyes and. I put make up to show it doesn't transfert on it as well.😊

This mascara is pretty good for the price! Nyx always has amazing products and for and amazing price. This mascara makes my lashes look long and has a really nice curly affect. It also adds a pretty good amount of volume! I absolutely love the brush! There has never been a nyx product I’ve tried and never liked!

I am usually a huge fan of NYX but this is one of the products that I am not crazy about. There’s a lot to love about this mascara. It applied without clumps and it definitely lengthens my lashes. It stays on for a long period of time and is easy to remove. The one thing that I don’t love is that it doesn’t hold the curl in my lashes. I can curl my lashes multiple times and they will fall straight within a short period. I do have lashes on the flatter side, but this isn’t an issue I’ve had with other mascaras. I don’t think I would buy this again but I can see why others love it!

Ok for Day Wear otherwise very dissapointing

After the amazing Snapscara was discontinued i needed to find a suitable replacement. I do like NYX and read the reviews here but having just tested this i would say it is no better or worse than other mascaras out there. Now any one who used Snapscara knows the brush and formular were perfect, i quick swiper and your lashes looked full without any clumping. If you are after what i would call day wear then sure this mascara will do the trick, it goes on without clumping no spidering and puts on an even coat. What it does not do is give any WOW factor. So as a day wear its ok but then cheaper brands would also suit. However adding additional layers feels awful and still only gives half the results snapscara did. VERY pleasantly surprised

I got this with a variety of other samples and saved it for last after trying out a few others I was more interested in first. After my last mascara sample dried out, I opened this travel sized one and was VERY surprised at how well it did. The brush is BIG, much larger than I was expecting it to be but it uses many fiber like bristles, rather than plastic ones which I actually prefer. Right away, I noticed and liked that there was no excess product on the end/tapered tip of the wand. The numerous bristles are VERY soft and easily glide through my straight lashes, evenly coating them with the black mascara. One coat gave me a fairly natural look, darkening my fair colored lashes, helping them to better show off their length and fanning them out. One coat gave me a fairly natural look, darkening my fair colored lashes, helping them to better show off their length and fanning them out. I put on a second coat which did get a TINY bit heavy in spots but I was easily able to comb it through with the soft wand to better distribute the product. I think this happened because I barely gave the product a few seconds before putting on another coat, instead of giving it time to dry a bit first. It lasted me all day at work, did not flake, smudge or clump and came off easily at bed time with a makeup remover wipe. I am going to keep trying the product and recommend it to my Mother who always seems to have problems in finding a mascara that doesn't clump or has too much product clumped on the end of the brush.

You cannot argue with Results

While there were a few things about this mascara that could be improved, you absolutely cannot argue with results. The results were stunning to say the least, as you can see from looking at my pictures (one coat of mascara on natural lashes). This is now hands-down my new fave mascara.Let's get into the nitty-gritty. Negatives, unfortunately it is not waterproof and I really prefer waterproof mascara. This was without any curling, fake lashes or any extras, I can only imagine how much better it would look with those!I applied it early and it lasts well throughout the day. When applying it will smudge very easily at first (so take care), but after five minutes if you rub it with your hand, smudging is very minimal, so it's quite hard-wearing. It doesn't have that terrible chemical smell some mascara's have and it removes easily with micellar water or gentle makeup remover.My lashes look absolutely incredible with this on, so I'll definitely be buying it again!
