This mop is actually pretty wonderful! If your old school like me and prefer a string mop get this one! Same deal just better because u don’t have to use your hands or squeeze water out with a paddle. When you first use it don’t judge how the mop pushes over the floor, it’s gonna get better with time. First few uses it kinda slides over the floor and doesn’t feel like it’s wiping the floor because it’s new. But when she is broke in it’s literally perfect. I have bought this mop ever since it came out. Only O Cedar though!!! The other brands don’t compare I’ve tried… One other thing is if your a bleach mopper, DO NOT LEAVE THE BLEACH IN THERE, unless you want to replace it sooner than later. So we have dogs and we always keep the water in bucket for quick mop overs ... MoreThis mop is actually pretty wonderful! If your old school like me and prefer a string mop get this one! Could use a few tweaks to make it user friendlier.

So, as someone with back issues, already having had 4 spine surgeries, in addition to living with MS, I’m always looking for ways to make my day to day life easier. I thought this would help so I do not have to physically try wringing out the mop, and I am not a fan of the swiffer types systems since it only uses a solution with the mopping pad where I do not feel like I get a good cleaning of the floors. The robot vacuum has a mopping feature, but it’s also for light mopping only, often missing spots and cannot get in the corners. They are great between mopping, but floors need a good mopping on occasion, and the other items are great for day to day light duty.Im disappointed this doesn’t have wheels to make it easier to move the heavy bucket full of water around ... MoreSo, as someone with back issues, already having had 4 spine surgeries, in addition to living with MS, I’m always looking for ways to make my day to day life easier. This is the case for anyone, and not just people with physical limitations. It really could use some wheels to make this item intendedon making life a bit easier more convenient! Not only that, I still have to wring it out a bit as it still retains a bit more water than I like for my hardwood floors. It also tends to pop off from time to time when I am scrubbing areas or trying to get in corners.Oh how I wanted to love this, but I was definitely unimpressed. 🫤

Does what it needs to

Okay, so I read the reviews and alllllllll the complaints about the handle. After I opened it and put it together, I thought the same exact thing. Not even my mom, who is 4'11", could comfortably use thing this. It's ridiculous and laughably short!! As someone with back problems, this was very much a "chore" and caused a flare up. I bought a "replaceable" type handle, in hopes that I could change this one out. When I got home, I started to twist the bottom to see if it unscrewed and what happened? I discovered that there was another (3rd) part to the extension! There is 3 parts to this handle, not 2! It became a "standard" height at that point. Now my only complaint. I used it today after discovering this, and yes, while it's much more manageable, if you try to apply any real "pressure" to kind of scrub down an area, the handle starts to collapse back down. That was pretty annoying because some areas might need a little more scrubbing. Aside from that, it does what it's supposed to do. The spin feature to "drain" the mop of extra water is great, and being able to wash and or replace the mop head is great.

Handle needs to be longer but MUCH BETTER than my Swifer Wet Jet
22 February 2024

I have been the unfortunate owner of the Swifer Wet Jet for 3 years until today. Finally broke down and bought the O-Cedar I've been watching because it went on sale. I just moped my entire kitchen and hallway in less than half the time it takes with a Swifer Wet Jet and it even cleaned better as well. When I use the Swifer I need to change the mop pad multiple times which I hate doing because it grosses me out. It also costs money to replace the mop pads AND the mop tanks. It's extremely unfriendly to the enviroment because there is plastic in the pads and tank that you will be throwing in the trash constantly. I actually cut a hole in the tank and would just refill it to save money which was also a pain. Thats 3 different things you will be spending money on and throwing into the trash. The 0-Cedar requires NONE of these wasteful things. The Swifer does not clean grout at all, it's only good for very flat surfaces and is difficult with corners or tight areas. The O-Cedar cleaned my grout better and all the previously difficult to reach places. My only complaint is I wish the handle were LONGER. Seriously. I'm a 6 foot tall dude and this mop hande was designed for a very short person lol. Maybe there is an extenstion I can buy on Amazon or something. Overall I love it and never want to use my Swifer Wet Jet EVER AGAIN!!

My expectations for this product were high at almost $40 I’m expecting the quality to hold up I hadn’t even had it 3 months when the peddle stopped working on closer inspection I noticed a small section of plastic around the bar had broken off causing the peddle to pop out a bit and no longer function. I felt a lot of irritation and frustration at this turn of events. I felt overwhelmed and was not in any mood to deal with it and almost didn’t. I decided at the minimum I’m going to reach out and discuss the quality of the product with someone let them know at least, Thankfully after explaining my problem and dissatisfaction with the quality of the product the Walmart customer service agent was beyond helpful and understanding, Something that for myself goes a long way, I don’t like to complain about things I also don’t like spending money on product that break easily. Maybe I got a defective one I can’t say all I know is I won’t be buying from this brand in the future and if you’re living on a tight budget I don’t suggest risking it. I’m posting this review to provide some insight in my experience with this product but also to express my gratitude for the customer service experience I’ve had with Walmart they are very helpful and provided me a full refund, ideally I wish the products were of higher quality for the prices and I wouldn’t need to talk so frequently about a problem I have to customer service, I can confidently say I only continue to shop with Walmart because they have always provided me with excellent customer service and have gone above and beyond to find a resolution to the problem when they happen to occur and because of that they still have my business. I hope that I see improvement in the quality of the products they sell in the future that matches or exceeds the quality of customer service they provide. So thank you to the Walmart customer support for always providing quality customer service it’s appreciated. I’m posting this review to help others in making a decision but also because of how impressed I have been consistently with their responses and resolutions in these frustrating situations and moments. I hope it is helpful to someone.

I had a spin mop years ago, I think it was one that had been on TV. I bought this one trusting the O Cedar name for decades. This is much nicer than the one I owned previously. It does what it's created to do, and I appreciate the triangle shaped mop as it gets into the corners nicely. But the other reviews that mention the length of the handle aren't lying. Fully extended, it's probably a good four to six inches shorter than a standard mop stick. I didn't find that it was horrible, but I have a one bedroom apartment with laminate and a bathroom with tile. If I was still in my four bedroom house with laminate and two bathrooms, it would have been a not so great experience. You can adjust the amount of water the mop holds with more or fewer presses on the foot pedal. Overall I like it and it did a fabulous job, and the mop itself will fit in a tight spot since it will extend, but I do wish it were a tad bit longer.

Not An Impressive Mop By Any Means

I'm not impressed. The handle was alright - it extends from two spots and matches the height of any standard mop, broom, etc. You MUST tighten the two extension spots to prevent it from collapsing during use. Popping the mop head on was simple enough after you make sure all the fluffy fibers are out of the way. I was a little annoyed at removing the dirty mop head after use as I used my hand but the box does show a better way to remove it so check that out if you invest in this. The bucket is off a decent size and has measurement markings up to 6 liters. When the bucket is filled with water, and when you pick it up, the bucket will tilt backwards - it's not balanced when holding liquid so be careful! The bucket is off a decent size and has measurement markings up to 6 liters. When the bucket is filled with water, and when you pick it up, the bucket will tilt backwards - it's not balanced when holding liquid so be careful! I loved the idea of the petal for wringing out excess liquid from the mop, however, this bucket and mop combo needs improvement. After wetting the mop, it still felt like I had to work pretty hard to get excess water to wring out. I still had excess water make its way onto my floor. When the wet mop is inside the spinning feature of the basket, I found I had to push down on the petal pretty hard. Considering it's made out of plastic, I'm worried what that long term pressure will do to it. Finally, the mop head itself was frustrating even with it snapped on correctly. The fibers would bunch up and therefore cause the plastic part to scrape against the floor. If you have textured floors, you may find you go through mop heads faster. I have a cement floor with a little texture and the fibers look absolutely shredded after mopping. If you have a smooth floor, the mop head is better suited. Overall, I was not impressed and would not recommend it.

I like the mop/spin combo as it's easy to work and removes far more dirt that the "Swiffer" style pad cleaners that I find maybe good for "touch ups".The big negative I have on this product is I had/have their old version. I loved that version and had owned two or maybe three over 15 or more years. Thing was a beast with a strong spring, strong peddle, strong peddle return, and removed water from the mop head well.Sometime since my last buy, O-Cedar redesigned the bucket and it appears (IMO) to have minimized the materials with thinner plastics, less rigid pedal and return mechanism, and a seemingly much weaker spring. When I spin up the wringer on my new bucket, the pedal often doesn't fully return. It just hangs there. It just hangs there. I honestly thought I got a bad unit, returned it and within a few weeks, the replacement one is doing the same. The old version never had this issue except once old and getting some rust in the mechanisms. I'd simple flip it over, open up the assym and clean it up, lightly lube it up, and it was good for another year. Old ones lasted at least 5yrs each, with near daily use.The new ones I've had, last 2-3 weeks and the peddle often doesn't return. I do not fill these too high (note that O-Cedar saved a touch more money by not putting the "max fill" sticker on the new version , nor added a max line in the injection molding)I still use it, might tear it open and find a beefier spring for the peddle, but IMO it seems O-Cedar dropped the ball on ensuring their new version lasts as long as the old version, so now I guess the landfills will see these quicker.Sad IMO as the cost of the materials likely run <10% the unit sale price, and 10% more material likely beef this up to the level of the old version, which is maybe 1% cost difference. I work manufacturing and I'm pretty certain my guess on cost is pretty generous. In the grand scheme of overall statement, I still like the unit, use it nearly daily, just a bit disappointed in what seems a drop in quality for the $$ and will consider some other brands next go around, as I don't suspect this one will last half as long as my prior 2 (or 3) units in the past. Again, those lasted around 5yrs each, this one .. I'll guess and say 2yrs at best before it fills a landfill.
