Oakley Flak 2.0 XL Polished Black Sunglasses

I have a pair of glasses by another company I have used for tennis in the past. They are designed to enhance yellow. They work well in some conditions and not so great in other conditions. They also fog up too easily. This Oakley pair with Prizm Field lenses offer great contrast. I had a 2 hour 15 min match where light conditions changed throughout the match. The contrast was fantastic -- especially nice since the host club did not have wind screens. And, as oppressively hot as it was that day, they never fogged up. Fantastic!

I wish to report that I received the 2nd edition of the glasses I ordered, as you promised, and upon trying them on, completely fell in love with them.They are without doubt the answer to my prayer for a pair of glasses that would serve me in all situations. They are the best.But I do have one concern, and I think this stems from the process itself, whereby I’m not sitting down with an ophthalmologist with glassesin hand and verifying correctness of measurements and vision. Getting to the point, after a week or so of ‘getting used to the new glasses’, I find that if I liftthem off my nose and hold them straight forward about 1/8”, everything goes into sharper focus. It seems as if the glasses focus the world I see about 1/16" - 1/8” behind my retina.Moving the glasses forward, off the nose, puts that focal point right on the perfect spot on the retina. This improvement is noted looking through the top, middle,and bottom of the lenses.I hope I’m making some sort of sense. I DO NOT want to give these glasses up. Even as I describe them, they are a huge improvement over my previouseyewear. I’ve toyed with ideas for “extending” the nosepiece, or my nose, somehow… so they sit slightly further out from my face.I invite your input at this point. I don’t like being a troublesome customer, and I understand making these glasses is an expensive process.

Great Sunglasses! The hinges lock into place. Additional nose guards are included. The prism lenses provide an awesome enhanced and well defined view of the course, but in very bright sunlight I do not feel they filter out the sun but they offer other lenses for those conditions. I have purchased name brand prescription sunglasses in the past and from my experience most brands provide the original lenses should you decide to want to use them in the future however Oakley does not. Another con is you can vaguely see the Hinge end pieces in the upper corners of your eye but like floaters you get accustom to them.
