Love the lens colour. Compared to my previous and cheaper shades, the light and shade is more ‘relaxed’ yet defined. It’s hard to articulate the perception of wearing these shades but in my view having owned Oakley’s before and wandered to cheaper options - I am glad to be home. They are comparatively expensive but worth the extra cash.

I’ve been an Oakley girl for years. I needed rx sunglasses for driving and instead of going to the hassle of visiting stores in person and trying on sunglasses from other brands I knew I’d regret buying, I went with the Fuel Cells that I already own multiple pairs of and that have the rx lens option. I was 8 days away from a 15 hour roadtrip and didn’t think there was any way my custom, prescription sunglasses would arrive in time. Wow Oakley, you’re amazing because they showed up at my door exactly 7 days later! The fit is just what I expected and the lens color is even better than the picture. I wore these for the entirety of a 30 hour roundtrip drive and what a relief to end the days without a headache or eye fatigue. Another reason why I will remain an Oakley customer for life!

First off I must say I never had a pair of Oakleys till I ended up in Afghanistan and the Service issues me a pair of these scifi lookin things. They werent prescription glasses so it was cumbersome everyday having to fight the glasses, and then the sunglasses, but they are beneficial to me, and I decided to get a pair a couple of years later. My optometrist recommended that I purchase wrap-around prescription sunglasses that werent covered under my insurance due to my damaged eyes, and I ended up with the Fuel Cell after using the Flak Jacket 2.0. I absolutely loved these sunglasses and used them daily, in all activates, until I lost them deep in Smith Mountain Lake after a water tubing incident! Pros: The sunglasses are amazingly lightweight, and one can barely feel that they are wearing anything. The arms wrap snugly upon my scalp, but not too tight, just tight enough for a good grip. I am VERY impressed w/ Oakleys polarization, and these glasses gave me an image much sharper and cleaner than my own glasses! Con: They hurt! After extended wearing I noted pain and discomfort on my nose bridge and where the arms rested upon my ears. After close inspection I found the arms are actually quite large and they pop my ears out of natural alignment just a little, but after a long wear (>6 hours), I found that my ears were very sore. Above all, I love these things and look forward to the new pair I bought!

Although these glasses should be a great fit for any normal sized head if you have a larger head like myself then these are definatly the pair for you. These are supposed to be slightly bigger than the Oakley Gasgan glasses. They fit very good, not loose neither tight. I also like these glasses because they're not flashy. I can wear them just about anywhere even at a place like a funeral. I wasn't used to the prizm lenses. Everything seems to have a slight purpleish pinkish accent. Not sure if I like the Iridium Polerized better. Either or for me I guess. Please note, with prizm lenses, your eyes are visible. That's not an issue for me though. After wearing Oakley radarlock glasses I noticed that these lenses unlike radarlocks tend to fog up a little if they're too close to your eyes. I actually put these on on a cloudy endorsing day and my vision was better than without. Non the less, these are the best pair I have ever owned and recommend these. I love these and will buy them all over again.
Had the same pair before these. My head is usually little bigger and these fit just right. I don't feel any pressure on sides from wearing these. The lens last forever and nice thing is if for some reason you need to change they offer different lenses. These have been thru alot and had no issues. Been in the beach in fort Lauderdale in the water, and winters in PA. I have dropped them a few times on the ground pretty good and still were fine. My original pair I had 4 years and lenses still were clear. I had HD Grey lens and they were really nice allowing just the right amount of light in. I had glasses that I would be wearing and while driving you go under a little cloud and they would be so dark it was hard to see. Definitely sold on this brand just hope they keep ... MoreHad the same pair before these. My head is usually little bigger and these fit just right. I love fuel cells but replacement lenses are unobtainium. Especially the ones I got this time with the clear lenses. The replacement lenses have becoming harder and harder to find for this particular frame I don't know why because you can order custom new fuel cells with almost any lens but replacement lenses have become less and less available. Finding clear replacement lenses for this set is impossible because they're not listed anywhere! Another reason I like these is because if you do get banged or bumped around the ear pieces just unsnap and can be reassembled after you've taken a bump to the head or something like that. They offer good protection on the size of your eyes as well with the large ear pieces providing a lot of protected area on the sides of the ... MoreI love fuel cells but replacement lenses are unobtainium. This particular style of Holbrook has beautiful aesthetics. I love the blue polarized/prism lense with this style of Holbrook. A nice variation of camo and black. Overall, beautiful design. My reason for four stars is comfort. The temples (arms) have a tight fit as they hug back of your ears. Slight irritation and pressure as the temples sit on the middle area of your ears near the temple tips. The temples feel as if they have serrated edges as they sit on the area. Slightly heavy. Looks like I'll need to get these adjusted or a pair of different temples all together. I ordered the regular size, not XL. Most people fit the regular size you just need adjusted temples. Just FYI for everyone.
I love the look and feel of this design. Wrap around design is stylish and provides excellent uv protection in the front. The lower rim lightly touches my skin and block sun reflection coming from below the lower rim. I especially like the wide temple/sidearm for blocking sun/wind on the sides. I use this for both driving and hiking and it feels great. I also appreciate the us flag logo on each side, hence my preference over other similar Oakley 9096 models. However, the label on my frame reads OO9096-38. It comes with a cloth pouch that also has USA flag shown on each side.
These Holbrooks look so much better in person then the website. From the matte black to green fade frames, these have become one of my favorite pairs of Oakley’s. The jade green prizm lens cut the unwanted glare while boosting the colors giving you extra depth and range. A really nice feature are the Oakley icons that look to be carbon fiber in a stainless steel type of finish.
I bought the all black Holbrooks with black polarized prizm lenses about two months ago. I never write reviews but I have to for these. There's only been a few sunny days where I've been able to wear the sunglasses and they're amazing. The colors come through vibrantly and lenses cut out glare. It's almost like they're telling your eyes to see better. I feel like normal sunglasses just make everything darker, these block out sun while still providing unmatched vibrance and visibility. It's a hefty price tag, but they're great for driving, fishing, or everyday wear. If you have the money to invest in a quality pair of sunglasses, you won't be disappointed.
