Oakley Turbine Matte Black Sunglasses

These glasses look great but they are very expensive and of poor quality. My reason for the purchase was that our puppy literally ate the original pair but my husband particularly liked the glasses. You are paying for the Oakley name, not good quality. The frame is particularly flimsy at the sides. I would not recommend.

Best Sunglasses Company

I bought my first Oakley sunglasses as a teen back in the early 90's. The style and look were what I was looking for. Now that I'm older I needed a pair of prescription Oakley Sunglasses. The website was easy to follow, and I was able to customize to my needs. They were shipped to my house with no problem, and they fit me so well. Thanks to the Oakley Team for such a great job!!!

Excellent Combination of Features.

I have a larger, roundish head with a high bridge. Theses glasses/frames fit very well. Comfortable (wrap-around) fit. The Polarized& Prism lenses are AWESOME! However, the quality of vision may also be attributed in part to the "blue/mirrored" lenses. Very pleased with purchase. Great for driving and can still see quite well in the lighting of a department store.

The sunglasses have great comfort on your head.The last category I graded them on was how cool they look. This was the best rating I had on them. They look amazing around your face. The Turbine sunglasses show people that you have a good taste in sunglasses and care about what sunglasses you wear around. The style of these sunglasses is not too big around your face or to small around your face. They are the perfect size to make you look good and give you an extra boost of confidence. The looks of these sunglasses are the best part of the glasses.Overall Oakley Turbine sunglasses are worth the bang for your buck. I recommend getting them if you are an active person. This includes lots of driving, being outdoors, and playing sports. The 4 stars I am giving them is well worth it. The Oakley Turbines are a great product.

Great glasses.

Great sunglasses so far, I'm hoping they hold up better then the cheap glasses I've been buying. I really liked that the lenses could be replaced. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is they sit down a little far for my liking. Fit around my head is excellent. The lenses themselves are crisp and distortion free. I really like the ruby color and doubt I'll ever buy any other color lenses.

Just what my husband was looking for

Having searched on line for Wrap-around sunglasses which could take prescription lenses, it was great to find these in store where they could be tried on and we could get first-hand advice from the knowledgeable member of staff. The fit was perfect for my husband and they looked really good. The only down side was that they do not come with a hard case and he had to order one on line. The cleaning solution kit which we were offered for just under £10 (with free top up for life) seemed like a good deal too as sun glasses always seem to get smeared especially with these reflective coatings. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Not a solid Hijinx replacement

Normally I don't write reviews but after spending really good money on not 1 but 2 pairs of turbines, I felt the need to review because I am currently having to replace one. Lets start off by the good. The size for a big round head like mine is hard to fit sunglasses. I wear them daily to yearly. They are great in comfort. They fit snug.Now the bad. After 2 years of excessive use, the ear socks literally turned into gooey rubber. I went ahead and attempted to peel it off thinking I could find replacement ear socks. Then I was willing to pay the price for replacement arms which come to find out are hollow in between which ended up breaking. Not a good design. So now I have one pair that is junk and the other pair is slowly working towards its demise as well. Top line sunglasses for the active person

This is my first pair of Oakley sunglasses. Also owning Smith and Maui Jim,I am comparing to similar price point products. The frames are crystal clear and very light weight. They fit the face comfortably. The lens is also very light weight. The mirroring looks fantastic. Combined with Oakley's polarization and prizm technology make a great sunglass. I bought these to use during sport and have not been disappointed. The light weight and fit make them just tight enough on the face not to get uncomfortable. The only improvement could be the nose piece can feel a little tight after an hour or more of wear time. But I'm happy with them as is. These wrap-around sunglasses provide full coverage against UV. They fit comfortably on the nose and are high-quality frames. Pay attention to sizing. Get the right size for your head.

Oakley maritime prizm polarized turbine I was skeptical when i first learned about the prizm technology. I thought it was going to just be some marketing mumbo jumbo, and they would be like any other pair of sunglasses. I was wrong! They are everything oakley said they would be. Color's are enhanced with a very fine crispness. It is like looking through an expensive set of leica binoculars with the contrast turned up. dark areas in your view are more lit up as well. Hard to explain, you really do have to just see for yourself. I have owned good sets of shades from all of the other brands nothing is like the prizm maritime. Its a game changer, buy it if you are on the fence. You will not be disappointed.
