Oakley Whisker Sunglasses - Satin Black with Polarized Prizm Black Lenses

I really liked the styling and the shape of these Oakley Whisker sunglasses. They were a good fit and nice and comfortable. They were also very light, which I really liked. My only complaint with them was that the lens’s size was too small, not in width but in height. I ended up choosing the Oakley Wire tap 2, as they were just as nice and comfortable but with a larger lens.

The frames are quite study with a good quality "weighty feel" to them. Not heavy, but solid build quality. The prescription lenses are absolutely fantastic and probably the clearest optical lenses I have ever used outside of Nikon. I would most definitely recommend these if you are looking a very good quality prescription sunglasses. I will admit they are a bit pricey in my opinion, but the quality is what makes me willing to give the rating I did.

Love the sun glasses, fit great, look great. Ive only been wearing them for a week, great so far! First time purchase of this brand. I was always weary of spending a lot on sun glasses, because of how rough iam on them. Only thing I would like to know, is for the price you pay, why don't you offer a hard case with them?

Ordered these as a birthday gift for my husband. He has an original pair of Oakley Whisker glasses that are very well worn and he could do with a new pair. Unfortunately I had to return these as they are just not the same. When he tried them on he said they sit off your face slightly at the bottom and you can constantly see light coming up under the glasses. He felt he would get a headache if he wore them for any length of time. Such a shame as they are so lightweight and really good quality.

A good quality pair of prescription sunglasses. They are comfortable enough to wear all day long and the prescription is perfect and very clear. A little expensive even with using my insurance but I'd rather pay a little more and get a quality pair instead of a cheaper pair that won't last. I also like that they come with a nice bag to keep them clean, and a hard case to protect them. My previous Oakleys lasted 10 years and were still great except for a small lawnmower incident. Hopefully, these will last at least a few years.

Impressed !!!

One of if not the best sunglasses I have ever bought. I was hesitant to buy without the ear loop since I thought they would not stay firm and make the eyesight jiggle. I'm glad that I was wrong. I have jogged my usual 3-5 miles in the morning, drive to work and even a round of golf. What made these the best is that they work. Kept the glare off from the sun, on coming traffic while driving and even while driving at dusk. Even had a thunderstorm while driving and these glasses provided me with the ability to see better. Impressed how the road was clear even with the rain. Better with them on than without. Extremely happy with my new Oakley's !!

My Precious Whiskers

I had a pair of Whiskers many years ago. They were my favorite pair of sunglasses. After damaging the frames and lenses, I was inconsolable when I realized they had been discontinued. Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth ensued. Awhile back, I noticed the Whiskers had been brought back as 2.0, so I made it a point to get a pair. The 2.0s are excellent. Thank you for bringing them back.

SOLID pair of glasses. A+++

Excellet sunglasses. The HD optics are incredible. With other sunglasses i find myself having to remove them for things like looking at my phone or small signs and such. With these theres no need. Everything looks crisp and clear all while lessening the effect of bright sunlight. Im even able to leave them on during my swings when i golf, which again during swings I normally remove my sunglasses. Style wise these are beautiful and you cant beat these red priszm lenses. Overall extremely happy with these. Heres to hoping i dont lose, break or scratch them!!

Whisker quality only Oakley can produce.

I spent a few years living with cheap knockoffs while looking for an identical pair of the pewter w/ black lens model of the Whisker frames I had. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any and it appeared like they were discontinued. Regardless, to my pleasant surprise, there was the revamped Whisker series in an email Oakley sent me last month. Pewter frames didn't look to be available, but the carbon looked nice with the dark gun metal look so I took a chance and ordered them right up. They seems to be based on the optical clarity and color that pops out, but unlike other known polarized lenses I have used, these do not block my OLED smartphone screen nor my car's heads-up display, which is actually nice!In summary, these sunglasses fit exactly like my old ones and are just as comfortable and effective to wers so it's 5 stars from me! Worth every penny

I had a pair of the original Whiskers for about 12 years before the frame finally broke last year. I wanted to buy a new pair at the time but they had been discontinued. I was SO excited to see the new, slightly updated version show up online and bought a pair immediately. They are extremely lightweight and the Prizm Polarized lenses are crystal clear and don't distort color like many other sunglass lenses do. I will probably buy a second pair to put away in case they get discontinued again. That's how great these sunglasses are.
