Ocean Spray Reduced Sugar Craisins Value Pack 250g

I discovered these while I was on a work trip and looking for prunes to avoid my travel constipation. I ended up picking these up instead since they have 10g of fiber per 1/4C serving (!!!), and I'm so happy I did! They are super yummy in my opinion, nice and chewy and sweet and tart. I could easily eat these if I had a sweet tooth and wanted to curb the craving with something "healthier." They have done their job, though, specifically in regards to ensuring I have daily movements. I used to have a big issue where I would get very bloated when I traveled, mostly due to constipation, and on this recent trip I felt great!

I must be a snob because I will ONLY buy the Ocean Spray brand of craisins, cranberry juice, canned cranberry sauce, fresh or frozen . If it’s a “cranberry product” …it absolutely has to be from this brand ! Why? Because that’s what this company does best. I have tried other brands and also NO NAME brands and they are are of inferior quality. Ocean Spray Craisins are deliciously plump and chewy with the perfect taste balance of sweet tart for healthy snacking. The fresh or frozen cranberries are perfect for cooking, baking and also holiday decor ! That’s right, put a few frozen cranberries in a glass of sparkling wine or water for a festive touch. Or,…put some fresh OCEAN SPRAY cranberries in a glass and add a small candle votive for a lovely table decor . Artificial ingredients like sucralose ruin these

And don't even think about Stevia, cuz that's just as bad. We realize your team of chemical engineers, marketers, and taste testers think it's necessary to account for the bitter taste and substitute a myriad of other ingredients when you remove something like sugar, fat, or salt, but some people actually like the bitter flavor, it works in their dishes, and some people are doing less sugar for health reasons, not just the marketing appeal. Artificial chemicals like sucralose, in-fact ANY added ingredients beyond the cranberries themselves is counter productive to auto-immune diseases and many of the health conditions people seek more natural foods for. I ask you please consider a natural variant of this product with JUST Cranberries (like the unsweeted "Pure" Cranberry juice you make), no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no substitues, no chemicals, no cause for concern, JUST Cranberries. Until then, I like many of the customers above, will take my business elsewhere to the responsible companies, who are listening to health-conscious consumers like me.

From great to mediocre

Consumer ComplaintNew craisins - oily or slick, taste bland, and are generally unpleasant to eat. The packaging has been reduced to stupidity as the closure used will rapidly wear out!Old craisins - very tasty and tart, slightly sticky, and very pleasant to eat. The old packaging was/is useful beyond compare because the bag still closed efficiently afeter 30+ openings to use the product and then..., the bag can be used for:Freezer storage of homemade bread,Riding the bottom shelf of the frig to collect WET garbage,Storage of small items when moving, etc.In short, you went from a great product to an also ran!

Healthy breakfast lunch dinner snack!!

I pour these berries into a 12 ounce cup about 1/3 to 1/2 high pour the one minute original plain oatmeal over them. Boil water. Add water. I do not stir. What happens is you keep adding bits of boiling water. Watch it bubble!! Do not go too fast. Fill until it is maxed tippy top. Wait about 10 to 15 min because the cranberries at the bottom leach their juices. It is SO GOOD it comes out like a cookie!! Only stir if you do not want “fruit at the bottom” oatmeal. It rocks. So healthy. Keeps you moving all around.

IN EDIBLE. NO STARS

I got this as a sample. Now i love raisens and i love cranberries and cranberry sauce, but this is IN EDIBLE!!! Why? texture is fine. Taste is DISGUSTING because any potential is OVER SHADOWED BY ALMOST RANCID SUNFLOWER OIL USED IN PROCESSING. I presume its used to keep the fruit from sticking together. BUT all too many things are manufactured with rancid ingredients. Here's another example if rancid...items manufactured with a peanut coatings like Payday and Health Valley bars . IN EDIBLE.

Love, love, love 50% less sugar cranberries!!!

I love both the flavor and light texture of these cranberries. They are delicious and are perfect for both baking and snacking. I am not at all bothered by the use of artificial sweetener. Frankly, I’m surprised to read that some customers presume them to be awful and suggest your time-honored company should be shamed over this. Please keep making these. Many people who love cranberries can’t consume real sugar due to diabetes and other health concerns. I use Ocean Spray 50% Less Sugar Cranberries in my homemade Cranberry Pecan Oatmeal Cookies that EVERYONE loves! Keep up the good work, Ocean Spray!

My New Alternative

I picked up a package of the original Cranberries and loved them. I didn't read the package, however, I was just looking for dried fruit as an alternative to eating candy. They were delicious - so delicious that it felt like I was eating candy. Without reading the package, I knew it was packed with sugar. Next time I brought them, I found the 50% less sugar alternative. They weren't as sweet, but they were still good. I was looking for nutritional information and started reading the reviews. While I don't want artificial sweeteners, if I have to cut back on sugar, fructose would fall in that category anyway. It's still a good alternative to candy for me. I enjoy eating them!

Ocean Spray Delicious Cranberries For Months

I purchased this size bag of cranberries a while back and now, it doesn't seem right buying smaller bags. I've always liked Cranberries but didnt eat them regularly because it would cost a fortune to keep buying the size that fits in your hand. I didnt buy the large size because I was afraid half would go to waste. Well, that didn't happen and the bottom of the bag was as fresh as the top of the bag. This size bag lasts a few months and I can have a great treat anytime I want! Somtimes it's a small handful and sometimes it a cup or more in a recipe. I hope this size sticks around forever!

Yum in so many applications!

We love Craisins, and you sure can't beat Sam's price for them! They're delicious in a spring mix or spinach salad with some toasted walnuts, roquefort or other blue cheese, and a fruity vinaigrette. Perfect in oatmeal with a little brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix with leftover chicken/turkey and mayo, celery & toasted walnuts or pecans. I could go on all day, waxing poetic about these sweet ruby gems of delight. Oh, I forgot - yogurt! Make a yogurt parfait with granola and craisins... tastes far more decadent than it actually is.
