I owned Samsung Note series until 2016. I was pretty happy with the performance of Note that time. Then switched to iPhone 7. I was always keen to switch back to Note and this time I bought Note 10 from JB HiFi. I had so many expectations from the phone thinking it would be the same great experience as I had before. But here is what I found:1. Performance: Had issues since day 1 when I started using Google Maps. When trying to end the app, it used to take more than 10 seconds and then launch any other app was further slow. I tried this several times but restarting the phone but with no improvement. The phone was slower after installing other regular apps (I am not a heavy user for games etc).2. Battery: A total disaster. I had to charge the phone twice a day- the phone is fast charged but the battery drained at the same pace.3. Camera: The camera looked pro at capturing photos and displaying it on the phone’s screen, but when I transferred it to the computer i.e. desktop then they looked like a joke. My iPhone 7 still looks much better when image quality is compared to Note 10. You can try for yourself. I have even tried uploading the higher resolution photos that consume more space but with no luck.4. Fingerprint sensor- this was awful and a real pain. After installing the high end and most expensive screen guard you keep on trying for 7-8 times and you have to press your finger hard on the screen and that too with much precision that you don’t feel like using this feature at all. So a total disaster. I checked with one of the other user who complained about the same thing.I was lucky to retain my other phone at the same time and finally decided to discard the Note 10.PS- I am a hardware/software tester by profession and I use lot of these modern devices. I tried soft /factory/ hard resetting the phone but only to find that it the nature of its hardware and cannot be improved. I know lot of people would think it could be a faulty device and I could have got my device replaced with a new, but trust me, Not Worth It!!Other interesting fact- I posted a review on JB HiFi’s site for this phone. That review never appeared and Now the Phone itself is not available on their site??

She wanted to dry it so flipped the phone in her hands and press some button accidentally and then, the screen light turned on automatically and she saw the notification for the meeting schedule and attendee info so she could call the bank manager assuming that the phone owner was in the meeting. I got my phone back from her. I and my wife were so so so happy to get it back but most importantly it was working just fine. We were so surprised and so excited that someone found it just next morning from the middle of sucha a big lake it and it was working perfectly after staying soaked in the cold water through the night? It's just crazy. I am tech savvy so I know my products pretty well that my Note 10 Plus has a water-proof certified to IPS 68 or something but never thought it could survive through the lake water through the night. It's just miracle! As a fairly early adopter and tech savvy, I've used many different smartphonr devices for the last 15 years or so but I find Galaxy Note 10 Plus has the highest satisfaction status to me for just about every aspects of it. Thanks for making it a great phone, Samsung!

Fantastic display even with FHD+ resolution it is stunning when browsing or reading even under direct Sunlight.2. Audio quality is superb if u r watching videos or listening music.3. My usage pattern is like browsing, facebook, whatsapp, insta, share my mobile data with others via mobile hotspot, GPS for navigation+camera and some doodles with Spen....all consumes battery fast.5. Sound - Call quality both earpiece and loudspeaker is crystal clear.6. Heating issue is there, a little warm u can feel sometimes. I use a Spigen case.Charges really fast within an hour....charging from 20 to 100% took 55 mins.7. Onscreen fingerprint sensor is not so quick in response. My experience is pretty smooth with UI while doing everything in this phone especially after the October Security patch which also brought camera improvements, which is still unexplored.Superb experience and Happy with my Galaxy Note10.Would have given 5 stars if there was no battery draining issue but still manageable so giving 4 stars.

Thank you Samsung for your amazing efforts and time and for generally listening to your customers needs and wants. your phones make apple products continually trying to catch up in an ever changing and demanding world, they are restrictive and yesteryear technology and to me they are continually trying to catch up and are drowning in the world of technology and operating systems. There is usually 5 - 10 apps running that can be copied and pasted between or compared. The 4170 mAh battery always lasts a full 24 hour day, and quick charge has it more than usable again within 15 minutes. If using the WiFi hotspot for an extended period of time, it is naturally left on charge. But it may be left like this all day supporting numerous peoples devices withThere have been no issues whatsoever, and no returns for repair or service. The integrated stylus gives good fine control of image edits and text editing for emails and MSWord document creation.A recent discovery for me is the instant note taking ability from the lock screen as soon as the stylus is removed! The power button double press for camera function from the lock screen is also extremely useful as it works well one handed or with gloves on.The one thing that I find annoying is the move of the power button from right to left. It has now taken over from the annoying Bixby button... gets knocked regularly but is really more a matter of old habits and getting used to it.Shame about the lack of an audio out. There should be a dongle in the standard accessories. I did receive the free wireless headphones but that does not help the other appliances that are used. If I wanted an Apple clone I would have bought one.It is also unfortunate that this is the only model with SD card storage available. I take a LOT of photos and video in offline environments and need the storage.A flat toughened "Active" variant without the useless edge screen would be a welcome addition. Unfortunately the Active Note8 was never released here in Australia which I would have preferred at the time, but there is no longer an Active model? I believe this would sell very well in Australia.

Everything i need in my hands.

Features: coming from a note 8 user, there is not much difference except for what the S Pen can do. I rarely use the S Pen Air Actions, i feel that it is unnecessary for me but maybe useful in the future when most apps become compatible with air actions. I love the Translate tool the most from my S Pen as living in multi-racial country, i am able to translate languages (especially Chinese words) into English with ease. Bixby can be helpful too in live translation with the use of the rear camera but you'll need the subject to be bright enough for more accurate live translation. AR Doodle: pffft it's only accurate when i use this outdoor. But then again it's not why i got this phone and it's definitely something that i don't need at the moment. Perhaps it will be ... MoreFeatures: coming from a note 8 user, there is not much difference except for what the S Pen can do. Perhaps it will be useful in the future.Performance: well, all i can say is that it's faster than my Note 8. And i love the fact that the minimum internal storage is 256gb (Note 10 series) compared to 64gb (Note 8). Screen displays better colors too. As a photographer, color accuracy is very important to me. Although there is a slight difference when i compared it with my 100% srgb computer monitor, it's minimal. Cameras' performance - not very happy. The highlights can be too strong and most of the time pictures appear flat unless i use the Pro mode. Note 10 plus main competitor is the iphone 11 pro max - the main cameras on these two are basically almost the same but why are the images produced on the iPhone look more natural (true to life colors)? If there is no fix to this i'd really rather carry my Fuji X-T3 with me wherever i go for quality pictures. Gaming wise, no complaints.Design: no major complaints. I only wished the rear cameras were placed in the center as my fingers tend to block them. I guess Samsung have their reasons.Value: this is tough to evaluate. Price tag? Well it's quite alright even though it can be expensive for most of us malaysians who want to purchase the phone off the shelves rather than signing a package with a telco company. As long as you don't drop the phone, i bet it can last for a very long time. This is an overpowered phone to be honest and it is considered cheap compared to an iphone 11 pro max which doesnt even have a pen.Lastly, I can't wait for the android 10 update to become available for this phone and hoping for more exciting new features.

Still lacking for people with vision impairment
16 September 2019

This version of the NOTE range, the Note 10+, has improvements on the provisions for people with vision impairment that makes it the best phone available. It still has some persistant issues however, some that are very basic. Generally it is the treatment of some smaller text elements, including some addressed through themes. For me these are:1. I have no other reason to make a samsung account but I must make one if I want to find a theme that works better with my particular vision impairment? This is unreasonable.2. The basic parts of the display I need to customize can only be done using a theme. For me that is the color of the text under the icons - it's too small for me to read and it only serves to create glare and distraction. Why is there no setting to change it to a color that makes it blend to the background or turns it off?3. Place the text message time stamp above the message to maximize the screen width for the actual message, having large font on makes this very important. The time stamp could also then be made a readable size. One new issue has emerged with this phone, the colors seem somewhat muted and less vibrant, unless I have the brightness on full, which then creates glare.

True Business class...Too many goodies to name
24 August 2020

I can see that some reviewers complaining about this phone , but I am sorry to say that I find several of them quite unreasonable and off the chart. But we do have a habit of expresing our dissatisfaction more than our gratitude, so I'll express my gratitude to Samsung now.I worked in the mobile phone industry just as Samsung Note series came to market, so you can understand that I know almost anything there is to know about all sorts of mobile phones in the North American market( other than Black Berries)as I repaired tgem too. From the moment I held the Samsung Note1 in my hand untill now That I own a Samsung Note 10, I realized that this phone/ tablet/ palm pilot/ many more things, is about 4-5 steps ahead of the rest of the family of phones that I've ever ... MoreI can see that some reviewers complaining about this phone , but I am sorry to say that I find several of them quite unreasonable and off the chart. From the moment I held the Samsung Note1 in my hand untill now That I own a Samsung Note 10, I realized that this phone/ tablet/ palm pilot/ many more things, is about 4-5 steps ahead of the rest of the family of phones that I've ever tried, repaired or owned. Samsung note 10, 10+ and the rest of it's Note are the true flagships of personal or business class phones I have ever seen. Ours have folio cases znd glass protection, but still, you have to see tte anuse they go through. Our household members own 2 Note 10's, one Note 8 and one iPhone 6. Other tgan one note 4, none of the Samsung phones in this house, ever needed repair and replacement in the past 12 years; others did. I have butter fingers and must have droped my note 10 over 100 times in the past 2 years alone. I droped it from the garage roof when shovelimg snow in -40 and took me about 20 min to dig it out of the snow bank, droped it in sink full of soap water, in hot cofee and my spose droped the other one in pancake batter and had to wash it. The note 8 was bitten and pulled out of a big dog's mouth. Not a scratch. Barely dented. Non of the Samsung Notes or the pens needed repair or replacement, or any of them are malfunctioning. I don't like the latest update, but that has nothing to do with the device. I am a very very picky person and change services or equipment uf tgey don't meet a strickt quality as I expect tyem to perform for the amount they cost, but for justified reason's I have owned only Samsung Note and in good conscious advise everyone to get one. They are a gold mine and worth every penny.

No regrets! I have owned every Galaxy Note model except 7 and 9. I have loved and cherished every single one, I am now the proud owner of the Note 10+ and I am honestly over the moon with it! The Notes are always powerful but the Note 10+ is shockingly fast! You can't throw enough operations in the mix at once to even begin to make it stutter, the screen is mesmerising and with the coverage looks like it fell out of a Sci-fi movie. I honestly cannot stop touching and looking at it, the features are familiar and more finely tuned with the cameras standing out as the best I've seen on a Galaxy! I only wish I was daring enough to have bought the Aura Glow version. There is too much to praise, if you have ever owned a Note this phone looks, feels and runs like a Note ... MoreNo regrets! There is too much to praise, if you have ever owned a Note this phone looks, feels and runs like a Note but from a couple of years in the future!I am sad to see the headphone Jack go but time moves on and so do types of input/output, losing the heart rate sensor is a big con for me as I used it often but these are small trade offs in comparison to the incredible speeds and truly Beautiful to behold Note 10+I live with disabilities so monies very tight, I willingly go without a few meals a week to be able to own this phone! I have always had to grind to be able to own my Galaxies but I class them as my personal treat in life, they are like my little windows into the future and not getting out much they keep me connected to the world so it's definitely worth it for me, I only wish I could somehow afford to buy the wireless earphones and the led case looks soooooo awesome! Any way I could earn some accessories from you lovely people?Never stop innovating Samsung!Much love,Adam.
