OGX Kukui Oil Shampoo 385ml

I love love this product. I have to admit I wasn't. Initially sold on the Ogx brand after having tried their Coconut shampoo/conditioner combo which did little for my hair so hence I gave them a wide berth since. However something popped up via my insta I believe showing this product for dry frizzy type hair and so I was intrigued being the product junkie that I am and also as I was also going thru a bad hair behaviour stint. Bought this on offer in boots (UK) and I have so say I was so pleasantly surprised that it really made a difference in my hair especially in texture and MANAGEABILITY. The way I judge a conditioner is mainly by how quickly it can soften and detangle my hair which can be long winded and painful... Not something I look forward to tbh! Used in conjunction with shampoo the conditioner leave my hair soft, smooth and manageable... I managed to comb my long hair through in maybe less than one minute which is amazing for me as when it is bad and not responding to a product it has taken me 15 minutes before :( This conditioner Melted away knots and coarse resistance and left my hair laying smooth and easy to brush through in literally seconds. It is deeply hydrating and a nice thick formula which add to the nourishing/hydrating sensation. It also smells great too. I look forward to washing my hair when using these products which is smthg that can be quite a chore for me and avoided /delayed at times. Would recommend this to anyone who has thick, coarse, curly, wavy, unruly, dry, frizzy type hair as this is great for calming and soothing such hair types and leaving it looking like smooth shiny healthy hair afterwards. It's drugstore price range and often in offer so I would recommend giving this a try... And best of all sulfate free:)

Im not sure about this shampoo. I have naturally very frizzy and wavy hair and I feel like this just doesn't do anything to help it. I feel like it kinda drys my hair out if anything. I switched to the keratin oil shampoo that ogx does and that one has suited my hair much more(its add shine and smoothness). this kukui oil shampoo however is lacking

Excellent for frizzy or dry hair

I love this shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and no frizz which is a real challenge. I have dry wavy menopausal hair. Iv'e tired expensive shampoos and cheap shampoos and no luck at all. This (plus the conditioner) leaves my hair soft and the waves look wavy rather than a mass of wiry frizz. It is very concentrated so goes a long way. Don't be put off by lack of foam - if really does clean well.

I have very weird hair it's super fine fairly straight hair (told by every hairdresser I have a lot of hair) it's not thick at all but frizzes like crazy especially in the humidity of the summer. For years I used John Freida's weather proofing shampoo and conditioner and it worked wonders. When they discontinued it I bought a discount store out of it. Out of desperation the other day (Vacation is going to be humid and want my hair to look flawless) I googled shampoo and conditioner for humidity and realized OGX made one! I love all of the OGX products I have used but this is by far a miracle. Dare I say it's better than the weather proofing one. Hair frizzier than ever

This is literally the worst anti frizz shampoo I've ever tried, genuinely. It simultaneously made my hair frizzy and my roots sticky. It was also another to put on and made my hair all knotty in the shower. Highly don't recommend. Ew. Won't be buying OGX again.

I am in love with my hair again!

I have unusual hair. It is fine but thick, won't curl but it is naturally curly until it is long and then it is just a mess, easily tangles and is a pain to brush out, frizzes but has no body, and I could never find anything for year round use because anything for hydration would make it oily after a month and anything else would make my hair and scalp dry out. I hadn't put color in my hair for a long time and I only add heat to it a few times a year. I have tried all the over priced brands and the cheap stuff and everything in between. I began to hate my hair about 10 years ago. Until I got this. After seeing what a difference it made in her hair (all I do now is wash, light conditioner, and put some coconut milk in it before brushing with the wet brush) I checked all the other types they had for me. I've been using the shampoo and conditioner for 4 months and I am blown away. My hair only gets washed 2x a week and it is so beautiful! I used to have to wash every other day if not every day! My hair brushes easy and doesn't frizz, tangles are no worry now so I can wear my hair down often. I have body and shine too! And I can get my hair to naturally curl again, something it hasn't done since I was a kid! I have even started using heat a little more often, blow drying it curly once a month and I use the straightener about 3 times a month (always with heat protection) and my hair is still beautiful. I love this brand and as for me and my daughter, we will never use another!

I will never stop buying this Shampoo & Conditioner

My hair has been in some sorry states from over heating, bleach, extensions etc. quite a few hears back it was in awful condition and snapped all the time. I stopped dying it, went back to my natural colour and it slowly started to improve. Then I started using this and WOW it rapidly made a huge difference! Firstly it smells amazing. But it leaves it feeling so silky, soft and as if I’ve just left the hairdressers. I use a fair amount of conditioner but that’s the norm for me, and I brush it through with a tangle teaser to ensure it’s evenly applied. Leave it for as long as I can whilst in the shower and wash it out. I do use heat protection sprays, a John Freida serum (also highly rated) and another spray for shine. Not good for Coily / Kinky hair

I bought this shampoo after seeing that it was meant for more curly hair. However, I noticed after using the product that it was only beneficial to looser curls. I myself have 3b - 3c hair, the product for me stripped my hair of its natural oils and made it frizzier. But when I gave the product to my cousin whose hair texture is closer 2b-2c her hair greatly improved.This was a recurring theme I also noticed within the product reviews as well. In the end, I would recommend that if your hair texture does not have looser curls this product will not be very beneficial to you. If your curls are larger ringlets/ looser this product does work as advertised.

Not impressed

I bought this to reduce the frizz in my straightened (naturally curly) hair in the winter months. My hair completely does its own thing and this promised to fight frizz. I’m not keen on the texture when I have just washed my hair - almost too soft and when it hits damp/cold/wet weather it goes like candy floss. Won’t buy again

So far, so good.

I was so done with L’Oréal’s of the world. I loved the slip they gave me, but my hair would usually go flat. I switched to Maui, to Giovanni to this, so far I am loving it. The lather is great, the after feel is great, it cleanses properly, yet does not dry your scalp too much. It’s perfect for my wavy hair.
