Easy action, & (almost) effortless cutting. Pruning is a snip. Initial impression is that these best secateurs we've had in 40 years. 4 stars, because only time will tell if worth 5.

Well made. Fits the hand well. My only complaint is that the spring-loaded closure clip at the bottom often catches my hand when opening.

Really well made product. Looks like they should last a lifetime. The catch that keeps them closed is capable of pinching you when you close it but it's just a question of getting used to working with the secateurs.

Bought a pair of Okatsune 101 from homecamp, and put them to work pruning apple and plumb trees.I enjoy pruning, so a nice pair of secateurs are a pleasure to work with. They have met my expectations :)
Im so happy I finally purchased these secateurs, after first reading about them 7 or 8 years ago, I thought they sounded very good, but were too expensive to justify the cost. Over the last 8 years Ive worn out or broken 4 pairs of cheaper secateurs, 2 of which were made by well known manufacturers. And two pairs of heavy duty loppers. My garden isnt huge, but I do have shrubs, climbers, soft fruit, roses and a small orchard to maintain. Sometimes walking along the paths is like battling a jungle! Ive only used these secateurs for an hour, but Ive experimented with different hardness and thickness of material and they cut like a dream. Every cut was clean and effortless. The spring action and the gentle curve of the handle fits with the flex of my hand perfectly. My only criticism is that they are on the small side for my feminine hand, but I do do a lot of gardening and my hands are probably on the beefy side. If I was buying them again, Id chose the larger size. Happy pruning!
Okatsuna KST103 are superb quality secateurs that cut through even the toughest of small branches and stems with ease. Yet despite being robust they are lightweight and comfortable to handle. Yes, they're expensive compared to other makes of secateurs but to my mind they are well worth the extra cost.
Hard to describe just how much better these secateurs are than the regular things bought from the garden centre. I’ve always paid good money fo quality tools but these are so much better than anything I’ve used before. They cut like butter and are simple and without frills. The fact that they are designed to be sharpened means they’ll last me a lifetime.Superb
These are the best quality secateurs. Made from very good steel. They are so sharp making cutting anything up to 10 to 12 mm effortless. They keep their edge for what seems like forever.
The lightness of this tool is one of the first things noticed and it is relatively small compared to others. The cut is crisp and sharp - actually I found I had to exercise more care when using this product due to the obvious sharpness of the blade and it's end point. The clip lock could be a bit more utility Despite it's lightness this feel as if it is a very sturdy tool
Shockingly good secateurs. Imagine if Carlsberg and Mr Kipling teamed up to make a pair of secateurs. They go through anything like butter. Because of the cost you should clean them and oil them after use.
