Two of my fav products ended up being Ouai and Olaplex 7, but they both accomplish VERY different things. It does a notable job strengthening your strands almost immediately. I legit gasped the first time I used it, because I couldn’t believe how drastic of an improvement it made right off the bat. Amazing.

If you have thick hair or long hair be aware of the price point as you’ll need to use a lot more. I saw a review which said there’s something pleasing about the tippy taps done on the bottom of the bottle to get the oil out, that’s so true. Packaging is a bit meh, it’s just plain plastic. Not sure what I was expecting but it looks nice enough. I will begrudgingly buy this again…

I have used other olaplex products purchased on this site before like the Olaplex No. 1 & No. 2 (bond protector & multiplier) and Olaplex No. 4 & No. 5 (shampoo & conditioner) which Ihave been using for about 2 years now. Recently, I ran out of conditioner and decided to try other olaplex products like No. 0, 1, 3, 7 (bonding oil) to see if it would help my very baby fine, thin hair look and feel healthy. My hair grows quickly but the bottom 2 inches of my hair break off easily. After only 2 uses these products I noticed a huge difference in the health of my hair. Just a warning, you should only use a small amount of these treatment/styling products each time especially if you have fine hair. Product arrived quickly. My only criticism was that the original olaplex box containg the oil was crushed in shipping as it was place in a plastic unlined shipping bag. But, the plastic bottle containing the oil did not break (thankfully).

FINALLY!!!!!! A product that works!
27 September 2022

My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. I give all credit to this oil. It is helping me maintain a polished, professional appearance.

Gave my silver white hair a slight yellowish blonde hue. Not pleased.
8 May 2023

I contacted Olaplex via the chat today about this and was told it was my fault as I had purchased from EBay. However I believe the product to be entirely genuine as it has exactly the same distinct scent as the No 6 which afterward I purchased from Olaplex. I would not be posting this review if the chat hostess had not summarily ended our chat when I had not finished.I should add that this only happened when I mixed the No 7 oil with the No 6, just about 3 drops with one pump of the No 6 as suggested by Olaplex. It did not happen when I applied the oil to my hair on its own. Nor did it happen when I used the No 6 without adding the oil.I was generally happy with the results of using Olaplex products on my hair until now. I emailed olaplex support because I returned the products on June 6th and I would like to explain why.I recently moved to the United States from Colombia, and I began using Olaplex # 3 and 6 in mid-February and continued for two months. I was experiencing itchy on my scalp and my hair felt very thin, particularly at the ends; I was convinced that it was because of the hard water so I changed all the water systems in my residence.I finished the Olaplex products in the middle of April and my hair started feeling better. There were no allergies, and it was stronger, but I thought it was the water filter system. Then, I saw a promotion and ordered the products again, as well as a few others to give a try.On the same day, I still had some product left in the #3 bottle ... MoreI emailed olaplex support because I returned the products on June 6th and I would like to explain why.I recently moved to the United States from Colombia, and I began using Olaplex # 3 and 6 in mid-February and continued for two months. My hair was weak and thin once again. All of this is being told to you because you believe that people create stories, but this is a more serious matter than you might initially believe. I have long, straight hair and this made my hair thinner and caused me bad allergies. Therefore, I lost some hair because the follicles was affected. Now I have to consult a dermatologist for a solution because after one week my scalp is still itchy.Your company doesn't only cause physical, but also emotional pain.I would like to hear from you soon because this is not only returning the products, but also all the concerns, money buying more products, visiting a dermatologist and pain.Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

If this is making your hair oily, you're using it wrong. Don't follow the directions. Olaplex wants to make money, period. It should NOT be used on wet hair. Oil and water don't mix. It is meant for the ends of dried hair. You should not be able to feel it in your hair, but it is there. It seals the ends so the moisture does not escape. Your ends literally disintegrate from dryness. That's why it seems you hair isn't growing. The only hair product I need outside the shower

I don't use many hair products and they never seem to do much for me, even Olaplex no.6 which all the reviews promise will make your hair perfectly smooth forever (actually does absolutely nothing for me!) But this one actually DOES DO IT. I only need a tiny bit of oil for my waist length hair and it looks/feels like nothing on my hair. I also only need to apply it like once per wash cycle, I always do it on dry hair when I need to comb it out. I always dread combing my hair, even now, but then I remember "oh yeah I used the oil so it's going to be easy." It seriously makes combing really smooth and hardly any pulling out hair or breaking my ends. Then when the combing's done, before I used this oil, my hair would just go into ugly clumpy pieces within 5 minutes. ... MoreI don't use many hair products and they never seem to do much for me, even Olaplex no.6 which all the reviews promise will make your hair perfectly smooth forever (actually does absolutely nothing for me!) This stuff is pretty great for frizzy curly hair that is straightened
8 April 2023

I have curly, frizzy hair that’s pretty hard to manage. I recently cut it and the cut the stylist gave me doesn’t suit curly hair at all so I began blowing drying it while starting to use the olaplex No. 3 and the olaplex bonding oil. I will tell you, it’s made a world of a differences. Normally after blow drying my hair, it becomes frizzy at night/the next morning. After starting to use this, this is not the case. I haven’t had to touch it up to remove the frizz after 3 days. I use it once a week prior to shampooing. I really think it depends on the hair type. I have high porosity hair that’s prone to damage and frizz. This supposedly helps close those bonds and honestly, whatever it is doing, it’s doing it great. i have mixed grade hair that i straighten from time to time. i was really anticipating trying this product since i hadn't found a light oil that kept my hair happy without making it greasy while i wore it straight. FOR THE RECORD my hair is keratin treated, and lightened around the edges as well. i used the no.9 serum to blow dry & this oil to flatiron, & it's virtually weightless. granted, it's kinda hard to get a decent amount out, but it's made my damaged ends more manageable & softer. also it literally smells like fruity pebbles omg. i've only used it like twice so i can't attest to longevity but like, even after getting out enough to cover my palms SEVERAL times, it looks like i haven't even touched the bottle. made my straightened hair SO shiny, which i've ... Morei have mixed grade hair that i straighten from time to time. i was really anticipating trying this product since i hadn't found a light oil that kept my hair happy without making it greasy while i wore it straight. TBH not a miracle product all on its own, but i see no cons < 3 i think it'll last long enough to be worth the cost.
