I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I've been using the Olay Super Serum Night Repair for about 5 days now and I've been enjoying it.For starters it contains salicylic acid, niacinamide, lactic acid, glycerin, and peptides in it so that alone cuts down on the amount of products I have to layer on my face. For 2 days, I didn't wash my face till the evening to see if my skin would be still okay and it was! Normally I have to wash my face the next morning or my skin oiliness would get into my eyes and cause irritation. I did this "leave the serum on for a full day before washing" experiment to test the moisture aspect while I didn't have to leave my dry air conditioned house in the dry outdoor climate I live in. My skin was perfectly fine and I didn't break out from not washing my face for a whole day. This may sound gross to some, but a light serum that doesn't irritate me or react with my oils while keeping me moisturized is wonderful to me. As I massage it into my skin, it also doesn't pill so there aren't any strange white rolled flecks on my skin.A common problem I have is redness on my cheeks which tend to eventually be the first areas to get dry. This night serum removes my need for having to use a Vitamin C product or worry about remedying flaky cheeks in the morning as I'm rushing to get ready for work. I've only been using the Olay night serum for 5 nights and my skin is already more evenly toned and my complexion looks brighter. Sometimes I don't want to wear makeup when I leave the house so having an even skin tone that looks bright and makes me look more lively is important.A feature of this Olay night serum is that it visibly corrects wrinkles & lines and because the serum keeps my skin plump, my fine lines aren't as visible as long as I rub it deep into my skin.Another plus that this Olay serum has is that a little goes a long way. Some products I've used would pill when I used too little and tried to massage it into my face. but not this Olay serum.I recommend this Olay Super Serum Night Repair because it takes care of all my concerns without me having to use more products so I can look nice and be efficient. In terms of smoothing, I do not notice any decrease in the appearance of my fine lines. In terms of firming, it does not make my skin feel any more taut or elastic.I have sensitive skin, so I was concerned about the inclusion of multiple acids like salicylic acid and lactic acid. Yet I was hopeful that by adding hydrating ingredients like glycerin and peptides, it would prevent dryness and irritation. Unfortunately, every time I applied this serum, my skin immediately turned red and started to sting. Limiting my serum use to once every other day didn't alleviate this issue. The burning lasted for around five minutes and the redness subsided within 30 minutes.Overall, I would recommend this serum most to those who have combination or oily skin that is not sensitive. For combination to oily individuals, this serum will provide adequate but not excessive hydration. I do notice that when I apply moisturizer after this my skin feels less dry. I actually assume that this is because I live in a dry air climate. Products that contain glycerin tend to dry out the skin more since the air is usually drier, but if you apply moisturizer after serums like this then the skin tends to keep more of that moisture overtime.Overall I would suggest not using this everyday and applying SPF while using this as the directions state. If you have sensitive skin you'll probably want to consider other options. This is worth a try if you're looking for something new or different, and as with anything your results will differ.
