Does the job in a small footprint

I bought this a few months ago for my flat that won't fit a full size dishwasher (or a drawer). On one hand, it's brilliant. I pulled out a few drawers, popped it in and it was a pretty small cost to have a plumber install it. It's great - I love having a dishwasher, I run it every day and it just works. There are only 2-3 on the market with a footprint that will fit in my kitchen On the downside, it seems everything falls through the 'basket' (is that what you call it)? I have to be really careful packing it. Nothing seems to sit or fit quite right. Sometimes I'll run it with just a couple of things in it. I can slide it back in easily enough, but it doesn't scream 'great build quality'. So it's a good unit. It washes dishes, it fits a small area and I'm super happy to have it. However given my time again I'd probably look at other options (there was one that was a little more expensive, I don't know if it's better but given the option again I would try that instead).

Excellent dishwasher but no sink tap connections

Fantastic dishwasher from Omega. Cleans dishes extremely well, fits on benchtop and is not too noisy. Now that I'm working from home, I'm so grateful I don't have to wash dishes after every meal! As noted by others, the dishwasher won't fit large plates (you can angle larger plates, but they take up a lot of room and you won't be able to fill the dishwasher to capacity), so I now use 23cm plates instead of my larger 27cm plates. I just love having this dishwasher. The only negative point is that the connections to the kitchen sink tap are not included with the dishwasher - a major oversight. Appliances Online might also want to consider selling the sink tap connector.

I give this a 1 star. What a insult this survey is. I purchased this Omega dishwasher on 5/7/21. Paid for a plumber to fit the dishwasher. Did one check it was working had to hold the power button down tho to get it to work. The power button is faulty cannot get it to turn on. Appliances on line have apart from first contact have been extremely unhelpful. Still waiting for someone from Omega to contact me to get a technician to have a look at the appliance. In short have brought a dishwasher that hasn't work and cannot get any one to contact me for a refund.

Great cleaning, but terrible rack design
30 May 2019

I bought this diswasher to replace the the previous model which died after several years, and although the rack in the old one wasn't perfect, it was so much more usable than this newer version. I hoped using this for a few weeks would help me figure out the best way to pack it but his new one seems to have been designed by someone who has never packed a dishwasher. There are too many places for large plates, the cutlery holder is narrow and tips over when you slide the rack in, spilling the cutlery everywhere, the fold down rack 'wires' are not tubular but are rectangular which holds onto water so that when you unpack, the water left on the fold down rack splashes on all the dry things. The fold down rack is also much closer to the top of the dishwasher so you ... MoreI bought this diswasher to replace the the previous model which died after several years, and although the rack in the old one wasn't perfect, it was so much more usable than this newer version. The fold down rack is also much closer to the top of the dishwasher so you can't really fit anything on them, they're also much shorter with a large gap between so lids and things fall in between. There are large gaps in the 'floor' of the rack so there's no chance of putting cups in extra spots. There's also a really weird step in the base of the rack so long things like chopping boards don't sit in flat. I have already changed back to using the previous cutlery holder, and may even try to use the old rack which fits in this newer model. The machine cleans well, but I am disappointed that the rack was changed for change-sake, not because it was more usable.

Life changing
9 February 2022

I probably should not be so dramatic but this little dishwasher has changed my life! I'm in a rental that ticked every other box apart from having a dishwasher and no space to put a regular sized one. My landlords allowed me to have it installed under bench - it has taken up precious packing space of course - but allowed me to save on bench space and not have the hassle of having to connect and disconnect the tap at the sink. The dishwasher itself is very efficient - everything comes out clean every time. My one gripe is with the cutlery basket which seems a little flimsy but has not fallen over during a wash as yet. Obviously you can't fit that much into it but for a single person who does shift work it is just amazing to be able to pack my few dishes straight into ... MoreI probably should not be so dramatic but this little dishwasher has changed my life! Also five stars as always to Appliancesonline with their prompt delivery and extremely accurate text messages with their ETA.

Loving our new slimline dishwasher
10 May 2022

Loving our dishwasher, wish it had more settings to choose from, we are using the quick setting which is 30mins otherwise we would have to do a one and a half hour or a three hour setting!!! Why so long?? Anyway, 30 mins does the job. Appliances on line were fabulous with the delivery, set up and taking away of the old dishwasher. Special shout out to Robert F for a great, friendly, helpful service and connection of said dishwasher.

Omega 6 function dishwasher
4 March 2023

Love this dishwasher as it has a fast cycle which does a pretty good job considering it’s only 30mins. On really dirty dishes I use the next cycle. Great that even thou it’s narrow than the normal size it fits amazingly amount of dishes. And the cutlery tray is excellent if you put them in individually, way better than those baskets like other dishwashers. Happy as! Especially for a Small home like ours. Even heats its own water so no need for hot water. I have this in my laundry area as my places is to small. All I have to do is take the washing machine hose off and screw this in when I need it. Simple :-)

PERFECT DISHWASHER
16 August 2022

Digital display, quiet operation, programmable cycles & a sleek modern look. i like everything about this dishwasher. having moved to a smaller place with a galley style kitchen the alcove dedicated for the dishwasher was smaller so i had to but the thinner 45cm style as opposed to the 60cm normal size. But it still performs very well & the adjustable baskets mean you can fit any size plate or pot in the washer. Along with the 5 yr extended warranty i expect this washer to last me a long time.

Quiet but poorly designed
16 May 2021

This dishwasher runs quietly and we find the 30 min cycle good enough for regular washing; we throw a tablet in the bottom and that works fine. The big drawback is the interior layout - the lower tray can only fit our dinner plates if we raise the top tray (the plates are only 27cm in diameter, which is smaller than standard). When we raise the top tray, we can't fit in our glasses (14cm tall, also standard). We've had to compromise by removing the cutlery tray and jamming our old dishwasher's cutlery basket into the lower tray. We didn't have this problem with our previous 45cm dishwasher. There are also annoying extra pieces in the top tray that make it very unstable to hold glasses. I would not buy this model again.

Small but mighty
20 February 2022

We've had this Omega Benchtop Dishwasher for well over ten years and it's been amazing for a household of two. Reasonably quiet, and excellent wash results. I've been waiting for it to conk out so we can replace it with a full-sized stainless steel model to go in the spot I have allocated under my bench, but the Omega just keeps on truckin. Two tips for use: If you find a little food left on plates, make sure to top up the cannister with Finish liquid - it really helps. Find slightly smaller dinner plate sizes - up to 25cms - so that they stack well. Excellent value for money!
