I was 10 years old in 1969 and I can distinctly remember sitting with my classmates at primary school, huddled around a little television watching a fuzzy image as Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon. I learnt about the Omega Speedmaster soon afterwards and have wanted one ever since. This year is our 25th wedding anniversary and my wife bought me one. It is a classic piece and will be eventually be handed down to my daughter

We all love the moon watch and its wonderful 1861 movement that in the sapphire version can be seen through the case back and with its decorated bridges in this version. but most of them come with the black dial which is awesome but somehow looks too common unless you have the chocolate dial version which is on my opinion one of the best choices of all except the snoopy, the Alaska project and the racing dial. and when it comes with the matching brown leather strap with the deployment clasp, all Omega original, you can not ask for more and also you got the vintage feeling dial like it was brightened by the san by the years. And was a present for my sons university graduation and his first serious wristwatch so I enjoyed his smile when he first saw it opening the ... You have to see it in person and try it on to truly understand what this Watch is about. Its not super flashy to the point where its over powering but it still has that luxury status. Depending on the band you pick will determine the occasion the watch can be worn at. I personally have the crocodile/alligator bracelet and the black nato strap. The leather belt is more appropriate for a formal setting and the watch looks appropriate for that purpose. The nato strap is my everyday favorite cause its sporty and can go well with a lot of occasions. Overall this is a beast of a watch that looks good in every setting.

I have wanted a speedmaster moonwatch for a few years. I purchased my first omega in 2019 and had eyed up a moonwatch since. I eventually pulled the trigger in October 2021. I opted for the hesalite version with the sail cloth strap and I have usually prefer a nato on my Omega. Absolutely love the piece.
Very nice looking and functional watch, When purchasing a watch like this ask the seller any questions you may have. Always buy the seller and check his or her feedback carefully. I am pleased with my purchase, E-bay sent the watch to a Authenticator to make sue the watch was Original. The Authenticator Does Not check the timing of the watch so you should ask the seller if the watch is keeping good time and functioning as it should. When you receive your new watch the first thing to do is fully wind up the power supply and see if the watch is keeping good time and functions are working properly . Just my opinion good fortune in your watch collecting journeys.
Was second hand but honestly flawless and looked new. Quite like it as a watch, more of dress watch rather than everyday due to plastic crystal and more annoyingly 50m water. This means I cant take it on holiday as the only watch if I want to do some swimming. New ones are 6K which is frankly daft.
The Speedmaster needs no real introduction for timepiece aficionados. The history of this timepiece as well as its more recent improvements make it a true bargain in terms of quality, accuracy, and price. I have owned this beauty for a bit less than three weeks, and it has gained a paltry 14s in 17 days; far within the 2s/ day COSC standard which Rolex- in particular- seems to so proud of recently. For 25% the cost of a Rolex Daytona, and with a storied history equal to or even more important than that benchmark timepiece, the Speedmaster is a must have for any serious collector of fine timepieces.

Really looks special and can be worn with pride for any occasion. A watch that has class and looks like no other in sports watches. Time keeping is excellent, so can be relied upon when minutes matter. My only critisism is the small crown with high crown guards which make winding the watch difficult unless you have thin fingers, and even then its still not easy. It isnt really an everyday watch either due to the hesselite crystal which isnt scratch proof like industrial saphire. I think some would deduct a point due to these things, but for me I bought the watch knowing about these drawbacks and I am OK with them. I love the watch and I am happy with my purchase.
Like others, I used to look at this watch in a jewelers window on the way home from school almost every day. At the time the watch cost a whopping 100. Having bought my first watch in 1991, I added to a small but much loved collection over the next 30 years. I was always confused by the myriad of Omega moon watches but finally got to buy what I learned to regard as the sensibly priced and direct descent in 2021. A great watch, not as brash, common or in your face as some prestige brands, which are still great to own and wear, but more subtle and discreet. And when you research it a great heritage and history. A must own timepiece for any collection in my humble opinion.
