Decided to try OC’s after years of hearing the hype. I wanted to like them, but I was disappointed after much deliberation…to “see” if I could make them work. Unfortunately, returned them after more research on top hiking shoes. These boots are not even in the discussion. I’m not a hater of the product, the hype did not align with the comfort. I found another product that is ultra light, better traction, awesome comfort, and completely weather proof. Sorry to the loyal followers of this product. It was not a good fit for me. Either way…you may want to look at other products if you want a more “serious” & high performing hiking shoe.

While it's waterproof now, above the toes is a more fabric free-breathing portion of the shoe. While offering comfort and a decent flex point it will probably need to be waterproofed in the future with normal wear and tear.Improvements: Not much really. The side of the boot has these little square cutouts that aren't hollow. If you step in mud and the mud gets in these squares they'll be quite a pain to empty out once it dries. The rear empty square is about an inch and a quarter deep. The only other one being pricepoint, they are a pricier shoe. Regardless, these are minor things and the shoe is holding its own again some of the best in my inventory.I definitely recommend these. After reading all the negative reviews, I concur with every flaw pointed out. The toe chamber separates and breaks within the first few uses and the waterproofing fails shortly after. I bought these specifically to walk the dog on wet grass. I’m not traversing through streams or anything remotely that wet. Thought it was just me and was going to buy another pair until I read the reviews.

After weeks of putting together gear for an upcoming hiking expedition throughout South and Central America, I went all in on these boots from ON. Maybe they're more for taking "hikes" through a suburban dog park trail or your neighborhood patch of forest because they didn't even hold up for 3 weeks of serious hiking. They started delaminating around the toes after just 2 weeks leaving me with wet feet in the back country of Chilean Patagonia. Super disappointed! Now I have to bite the bullet and buy new boots or face putting up with wet toes for the rest of my trekking in South America. The comfort was excellent and they were very light. Just terrible durability.

This is my first purchase of On Cloud footwear. Several friends recommended I try their product. Overall, the boot is super comfortable and supportive! They definitely have all-day wear comfort. However, the quality of this product is severely lacking. I have only been wearing these boots 3 days a week for the past 2.5 months (regular everyday use, walking on flat surfaces - no running or hiking) and they are already starting to fall apart/break. The fabric and rubber is separating, creating gaps/holes in the sides. Very disappointing for as much as these cost! Several of my coworkers, who also have these same boots, have reported the same exact issue with their boots.
I have been wearing these boots since Thursday, August 15, 2024 and it is now August 21. 6 days. Last night as I was leaving my job, which only required a lot of walking this particular week, I noticed the top of the toe where the two materials meet, began to split. The boots are super comfortable and I was very excited for them, only for them to begin breaking down before a full week was up. In my job, boots are EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, these didn't cut it.
