I bought these shoes to wear as my work shoes as a documentary filmmaker. Shoes are one of the most important things for me as I am constantly in mixed environments that require tough shoes with grip and resistance to the elements with the ability to sprint.I was excited to try these shoes and see how they hold up, and for the first couple of weeks they were excellent. They are true to size and are perfect for people who have a normal width foot. Unfortunately around the 50 mile mark of use issues started to develop - my forefoot and toes started to get sore and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. I come to find out that the sole in the forefoot section has worn down, and the cushioning has gone flat. This is my fifth pair of Ons this year, I am trying all of their latest styles to see which will work for me the best as I no longer wear Adidas because they are too narrow for my feet, and I don't care for Nike.On has come a long way since their first run of shoes, but they are far from perfected. Some changes I'd like to see moving forward for the Cloud Ultra 3 would be a better formula for the sole, increase cushioning, increase durability, some weather resistance variants - not fully waterproof necessarily but something to keep your feet dry in the rain. This is so close to being the perfect mixed use shoe!

So I bought these as these looked to have great cushioning (recent knee replacement) and would only use for walking. However, seemingly due to the hexagonal design, once they get wet/damp/too much humidity, they will squeak NON-STOP! They have become embarrassing to wear. While they are very comfortable to wear, I cannot put up with the sound!

Purchased these to run a half marathon at Griffith Park in LA. I bought them the week of the race because I only did road running for training. I was nervous because there was zero break-in for the race. The shoes were great. I went with On for trail shoes because I have 2 other pairs of road shoes in my rotation and they are my favorite. I had zero blisters or foot pain post-race. I do wish there was a little more cushion, but the tread is great and provided traction on the steep trails.

Comfortable out of the box. They are lightweight. They kind of form to your foot. They are too soft to wear all day. Not too much in foot support for a shoe like this. They will roll your feet inward when walking. Don’t really seem to be stiffer “trail” shoe. I certainly would not hike in these.
I was really excited to try a pair of these after having On recommended to me from several people. These shoes felt good at first but completely fell apart on me with less than 200 miles of trail. The upper split along a seam on the inside of the foot making them unusable.I reached out to On about the issue and they explained it wasn't covered by the manufacturers warranty.Fit and feel of these shoes is great, but I really couldn't recommend them to someone at this price when they just don't hold up to trail running. The descriptions of "ultra" and "technical trail" feel very misleading after my experience with them.
I have had two pair of the original version of the Cloudultra, which I used for trail running distances between 3-15 miles at a time. I mostly run on gravel roads and single-track trails, and find the Cloudultra to offer good support, cushion, and traction. I am sure I'm among the minority in disliking the extra room they added to the toe box in this version. I have narrow, low-volume feet and this shoe fits me better than other trail runners. However, with the extra room in the Couldultra 2, the fabric bunches a bit when I pull the laces tight at the front of the shoe. Still, this is the best I've found in terms of a solid trail runner that can handle the miles and terrain for narrow, low-volume feet. These are by far probably one of my most favorite ons. I have a few pairs but these are supper soft all around. I like that the colors are a neutral gray with a very light blue undertone. They are so light that I forget that I have them on. Love them
very nice cushioning given the not high 27mm heel stack height, ample forefoot room and toe shape to allow for toe splay yet still narrow in the mid-foot and heel. The plastic lace tensioner is gimmicky and I do not use it, other than that this 2nd iteration of Cloudultra is winner, much better fit in toe area than prior generation due to more intelligent shaping of toe cap and significantly better cushioning without an increased stand height, not a twitchy shoe on technical trails.
I don’t usually spend this kind of money on shoes but I wanted to try out a new brand of runnning shoes. They did not disappoint. I love the look, and the comfortability is unmatched. Lightweight but strong. Can be used for casual wear also.
The product was very bad, the size although it said number 9, I could not use it, the shoe is too small. I compared it with another product of the same brand and the size is wrong. I am in another country so it does not justify returning the product for the costs. I am very dissatisfied with the purchase.
