The ProMounts Single Desktop Monitor Mount is definitely very high quality, and I have no doubt that it will be the perfect solution to anyone's desk! The arm, mount, and desk grip are very solid and securely attach to backside of my desk. The cable management built into these is highly appreciated and very well executed, and the unit was packaged nicely to ensure that there were no scratches in shipping. My only concern with this unit is that the adjustable mount does not reach far under the desk, so this may not be the best option if your desk has a lip under the ridge

Pleasantly surprising heavy duty mount. Not too heavy for my table, but a really beefy construction. There is some assembly required. It takes about ten minutes. Getting the height set is quite a bit easier if you have a second person to hold the monitor while adjustments are made, but I was able to do it by myself, it was just more difficult. It is a great mount.

When you want some options in your monitor placement, this single monitor arm is an easy-to-use tool. Installation is fairly easy, it comes with the hardware and hex tools you'll need. I'm impressed with the variety of positions available and with how solid it feels. I used the clamp to install a 24 inch monitor on the desk and it took about 30 minutes for assembly and installation.

I think these monitor arms are always a nice upgrade for any home use. Plus it gives your workspace a nice, clean look as well. I have a few monitor arms and this is probably a low-mid grade one. The nicer ones have piston arms which are more easily adjustable. That said, this is still a nice little upgrade if you're looking for one. Main issue with this one is that you have to crank down on the arm height manually so it may take a couple tries for you to get it right. Once done, it has pretty decent mobility in terms of adjusting the monitor. Comes with hardware for installation on a normal flat desk or one with grommets. Everything is manual on this so just a lot of tightening screws.
I was pleased with this ProMounts Single Desktop Monitor Mount as it clears some room on my desk and is easy to assemble and adjust. It states it will fit a monitor between 13 inches and 32 inches with a weight of 17.6 pounds. Check that the monitor has the VESA mounting holes, either the 3 inch or the 4 inch pattern. I found that not all monitors have this mounting standard. The assembly only took about 15 minutes and it was easy to adjust the gas spring tension to get the monitor to sit at the height you need. The spring arm is packed with a zip tie holding it closed and use caution when releasing it as it is under tension. I really like that I can adjust the height of the monitor to make it more comfortable when viewing it for long periods. This Desktop Monitor ... Part of my job requires the use of a microphone with a hands-free setup…. With many low to moderately priced microphone mounts struggling to hold-in-place some microphones, a more expensive microphone mount would be required. That’s why this desktop monitor mount, with a weight limit of 17lbs, was an excellent option … It's a space- saver by mounting this behind my computer monitors to save desk space. And it's ergonomic allowing positioning it at any height or angle to sit comfortably .... Agin, my approach was to make this a microphone mount. And it's done using any of the many available VESA adapter kits..... The adapter kit has a plate which attaches to the monitor arm plate (where you would be attaching computer monitor). I like several features of this monitor mount: it has several adjustment options for angle, tension etc....It can be mounted via a clamp or through the desk (grommet mounting)... Finally, it has a high powered gas spring for assisting for counter-balancing.
You will not go wrong with this monitor mount! What I liked most is that all the key parts are made out of metal (some have decorative plastic covers) so you don't have to worry about it falling apart. It comes in a fairly small box and you get to put it together. It includes the edge clamp hardware with two settings that gets you to be able to clamp to surfaces 3.35 inches thick (that's the max). It also includes hardware for mounting to a hole in your desk (they call that grommet mounting). The grommet mounting hardware can accomodate a top that is up to 2.36 inches thick. You can also use the grommet mounting hardware and drill your own hole in your desk (they suggest 0.4 to 0.8 inches - 1/2 inch is middle of that range...). It clamps to either 75x75 or 100x100 ... It clamps to either 75x75 or 100x100 VESA patterns. The mount is not slotted, so it won't work with other sizes in this range - only 75x75 or 100x100. It includes some different length 4mm mounting screws and spacers to attach to your VESA holes in your monitor. You can adjust the height by sliding the mount up and down on the post as well as using the tilt mechanism, which makes it versatile. There is a tension adjust screw so you can account for heavier or lighter monitors. The max weight for a monitor is 8 Kg (17.6 lbs) which should be plenty unless you are planning on dragging an old CRT out of the junk closet (don't!!!). There are two cable routing clips included - one fits on the arm and one for the post. There is nothing not to like...
This computer monitor mount was very easy to assemble and install thanks to the step-by-step printed directions and the great labeling by of the hardware (see picture). They even supplied the Allen wrenches needed to assemble and tighten all components. The parts went together easily. As you can see from the pictures, everything fit just right. The center support tube is very sturdy. I really like how it all went together so I highly recommend this monitor mount for most any desk or table!
Installation took ~30 minutes. There are two options to secure the mount on the desk: I used simple clamping and quite happy with the result. Though, the grommet installation looks more secure.Operates very well. Can tilt monitor into any direction I normally use when seating or standing during long calls (I do not need 90 degree, so no comments on that option). The mount is stable – monitor is not moving and not shaking (though the latter may depend on the desk you have).Highly recommend.
I needed a mount that would allow me to adjust a 27” 4k monitor forward for video work, and then back behind speakers for audio work. ProMounts’ single arm monitor seemed to check the boxes, but it does have some limitations with my setup. The mount needs some room behind it to push the monitor to a comfortable distance, but because my desk is against the wall, it can only move back so far. I don’t see how this mount would work with a shallow desk against a wall. The mount is also best if the back of the desk is square with adequate overhang. The back of my 30” studio desk is crescent shaped and has a second tier to accommodate 4 rack spaces so I had to reverse the second tier in order to attach the mount to the main desktop. The back of my 30” studio desk is crescent shaped and has a second tier to accommodate 4 rack spaces so I had to reverse the second tier in order to attach the mount to the main desktop. I also had to attach the mount off center due to a cable grommet. Combined with the lack of clearance in the back (my desk is only a few inches off the wall), it can be challenging to center the monitor in the workspace. I like that the mount comes with two mounting options, and I was able to make the C-clamp work…. Kinda. I may eventually switch to the grommet mounting option for peace of mind, but unfortunately the desktop is cheap veneered particle board. The mount seems sturdy, but I’m weary due to the crescent shaped back of my desk. The compression sleeve for attaching the arm to the pole is also mediocre. I cranked it down with all my strength and yet still wants to turn when adjusting the monitor. I thought contorting the stand would be easier than it is, but if I go slow and carefully it’s fine. I attached a Asus 27” ProArt HD monitor (PA279CV) that weighs ~12 lbs (under the max of 17.6 lbs.), and while the VESA mount of the monitor is slightly indented, I was able to avoid using the included buffers and longer screws (the screws were too long anyway). Overall I’d say the mount is pretty good as long as you have a deep desk, clearance in the back, adequate overhang, and square edges.
