This product is great at keeping your makeup on but I cannot get over the fact that this just seems like a hairspray that was relabeled as a setting spray. This makes my eyes burn and it smells awful. Every single time I spray it I just feel like I’m inhaling hairspray, which isn’t exactly a nice taste in your mouth. I bought this with a gift card which I am now extremely disappointed with because I would have used that gift card on a product I would have actually enjoyed. I’m concerned that if I keep using this I will just be harming my skin and that’s not something I want. I had high hopes for this but I was very much disappointed. If you guys want a good waterproof setting spray that holds with humidity and sweat, the Urban Decay All Nighter spray did well for me ... MoreThis product is great at keeping your makeup on but I cannot get over the fact that this just seems like a hairspray that was relabeled as a setting spray. I really, really wanted to like this because I'm a fan of Patrick Starrr and had heard good things about this product from some friends, so I tried it out on 3 separate occasions. The first time I used it, I felt a burning sensation and I thought perhaps it was just some other skincare product I used that day that was causing the reaction. And then I tried it one more time after without applying any skincare prior and then another with minimal skincare prior, just to see if it would change the outcome. But time and time again, it burned like crazy!! Perhaps I just have sensitive skin to whatever ingredients are in this setting spray, but it felt like my face was on fire and I couldn't even bare the pain, so I had to take off all my makeup that I had spent an hour ... MoreI really, really wanted to like this because I'm a fan of Patrick Starrr and had heard good things about this product from some friends, so I tried it out on 3 separate occasions. And I just... am so sad that this product let me down. I couldn't even get over the pain to tell you if it helped set my makeup, so just be warned, if you've got any experience with having sensitive skin and maybe getting reactions to certain products, try it out in the store first and see if that does anything before purchasing. I had to return it unfortunately and pick up a different brand's setting spray. And to be honest, now I'm just scared to try out other One/Size products. I just don't want my face to break out or burn :(

I have waiting months to try this product since it was always out of stock. I finally found it at my local Sephora after hunting it down and excitedly purchased it. This is by far one of the of the worst setting sprays I have ever used on my face. First of all, barely any product comes out of the can, it’s just a whole bunch of air with like 20% product. It has a very strong hairspray smell that I can’t get passed, it’s like inhaling straight toxic fumes. I have to hold my breath when using this product. This product also doesn’t make your makeup matte. If anything it makes your makeup flake on you. I noticed makeup lifting from my nose area and I have never had that problem with any other setting spray. I’ll stick to my urban decay and charlotte tilbury.

OK, I love this stuff! I've been searching for ages for a product like this in an aerosol can. Pump sprays just never mist evenly for me, you know how it is? This one actually does! I kept adding it to my cart but never bought it, finally took the plunge for my birthday. So, while I was celebrating this amazing find, I realized there might be some confusion about setting spray vs. fixing spray. Even though this one is labeled "setting spray," it actually acts more like a "fixing spray," which is awesome if you want your makeup to last all day long! Let me break down the difference for you.: Setting spray: Imagine it like a makeup melter, gently fusing your layers together for a smooth, finished look. Let me break down the difference for you.: Setting spray: Imagine it like a makeup melter, gently fusing your layers together for a smooth, finished look. It helps prevent that cakey feeling and keeps everything blended nicely. Fixing spray: This one's like a shield. It locks your makeup in place, making it more resistant to smudging, fading, or sweating off. Perfect for long days or special occasions. Now that my little lesson is over, I just want to say this is the first thing I have purchase from One/Size, and I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the line. My skin is dry, and I haven't had any issue with it making my skin feel dryer. But I prep with skincare, always, do my foundation & powder then I use a different brand, actual setting spray (the wet stuff most of you are used to) I do the rest of my beat, then I spray this on. Bam! If you don't moisturize, yeah, your skin may not like it. It does lean a bit matte, but I find that since so much of today's makeup has some glowy element it doesn't make it any less glowy, but if need be, you can always dab a little extra highlighter on, but you won't need to unless you are a performer ...
I can’t even fathom any of the negative reviews I’ve seen (mostly on Sephora)…I’ve used UD & skindinavia (the brand that makes UD), Too Faced, & several more, but none of them actually kept my makeup in place for long. However, this also KEEPS my eyeshadow in place!! I’ve tried numerous eyeshadow primers (UD—all versions), Too Faced, MAC, etc, & some would keep eyeshadow on for few hours or so, but unexpected benefit of this setting spray is also keeps my eyeshadow perfect…no eyeshadow primer—shockingly no creasing & I have oily skin. I do have touch up nose, forehead, & chin after several hours b/c I’m so oily but I can’t believe how amazing this is & regret not trying it sooner. Also it doesn’t feel like anything when I put it on. I want to say I truly wanted to love this product. I bought it when I went to California for vacation to keep my eyebrows intact. Let’s just say things went good the first couple days then I noticed I was getting dry itchy under eyes but I was blaming the California weather I came back my eyes were red and swollen. I had to go to the hospital. My eyes were swollen shut I had to get Benadryl put through an IV and antibiotics, I also came home with antibiotics, steroids, and medication ointment for my face antibacterial drops for my eyes for two weeks. I went with no make up. Skin was healing a little getting better. Then I decide to wear make up again something tells me to spray your eyebrows, I cover my eye area , then I decide well when not let me just spray ... MoreI want to say I truly wanted to love this product. Went to the hospital yesterday because things weren’t getting better . I did not want to blame this product for the life of me, but this is what it did to my face now I have to see a dermatologist. Be very careful when you love something and you think it’s not that and it truly is I learned the hard way I really hope nobody ends up with how my face ended up . I had a severe allergic reaction to these chemicals.
This stuff works like magic! I’m a track and field athlete in Louisiana with very bad hyperpigmentation and combo/ oily skin so I’m constantly worried about if my spots are showing and if I look an oily mess. I decided to use it on a rainy, humid practice day and it performed great! It held up in 86% humidity, kept my oil at bay, and my makeup stayed in place! The only time I was worried about its performance was when the excessive sweating came from working out. Some sweat broke through (which is to be expected because I’m working out outside in humid, rainy Louisiana lol) but as soon as it dried down it looked like it did when I first applied it in the morning! This is the best my makeup has looked and held up over a day of practice ever! I know the price is a ... MoreThis stuff works like magic! This is the best my makeup has looked and held up over a day of practice ever! I know the price is a little off- putting but if you can afford it GET IT. If your skin is combo/ oily, GET IT. If you’re an athlete, DEFINITELY GET IT. You won’t be disappointed. Definitely will be a staple in my routine now.I only have two complaints for this setting spray. One is that the product comes out like hairspray. I’m just not used to it coming out so fast and hard. The second is that the smell is somewhat overbearing. It smells like men’s cologne and to be spraying that in my face while the canister dispenses the product like hairspray is a little choking but I will definitely deal with 3 seconds of that for its level of performance.
currently 18 with combo/oily skin (with a particularly oily t-zone with emphasis on the forehead and nose!). PLEASE keep in mind this is a partial review, as i got this without getting a primer or a setting powder of any kind. i give this a 4/5 stars for two reasons.1. it doesn't feel like extra weight on my face? the fine dispersion makes it feel like there's no extra layer. and if it got on my hair somehow, i didn't notice it feeling crunchy!2. the mattifying effect, the most important part of this spray, was immediate in my use. even as i used a more dewy foundation (i use the tirtir mask fit red cushion not sold in sephora), the mattifying effect still held up! :)again, this is only 4/5 because it gave me the effect i expected--BUT i'm not giving it a full ... Morecurrently 18 with combo/oily skin (with a particularly oily t-zone with emphasis on the forehead and nose!). anyone who says this does not work is most likely not using it correctly. make sure to look up how to use one/size products such as this and the sweat proof primer, as they are finicky. I tend to use a more hydrating setting spray first, and then this one to keep my skin from drying out/looking cakey. This spray has kept drag makeup on in heat and snow, and even my regular makeup on when I weld.my makeup will last all day in 100° humid weather because of this setting spray. I use a lot of water based products, so my sweat tends to wear away my makeup. i use this setting spray everyday now, and it keeps my makeup on all day!sometimes the cans don’t spray well/defected, which sucks. Hopefully they get more consistent as time goes on.
I used to buy the Morphe Matt Continuous Mist, but now with everything going on with Morphe and how they are laying off their employees on such short notice, I was looking for a different brand to support. I just wanted it to be continuous and mattifying. This was exactly what I was looking for. and now this is the only setting spray I will buy.I tend to lean towards doing a more dewy look, but I always want to lock it in with something mattifying, which I know may sound dumb but just try it, because it gives me the perfect glow without being sticky or easily smudge-able. I have been using this for probably 3 weeks now, and I am obsessed. It really does make your makeup so beautiful and it will not budge. I wore it over my makeup to take my dog on a hike, I slept in the car with my face pressed against the leather seats, and I even got caught in the rain. I'm so serious when I say that it did not move.I will say, that it does have a kind of weird consistency when it comes out of the bottle, very similar to hairspray, and it feels weird for the first couple of minutes that it's on your skin, but after that you will have perfect makeup all day. I only mention that because if you are not expecting it, or you are sensitive to certain textures, I would say to try it out in store first. I have never had any issues with the bottle breaking or running out too fast either. I have had this bottle for 3 weeks and am half-way through.
