So far I like it. I haven't carried it anywhere with the cover yet. I really like that it covers the whole thing from the door handle to the complete end where the wood goes. The cover for my old Ooni just didn't cover it all very well. The door handle stuck out and it wouldn't fully cover the pellet hopper.

It's well made, and I love my Karu... let me start with that. However, for a portable oven, I would like to be able to remove the chimney. I of course can do this with the oven, but not with the case. It's a bit ridiculous to be honest. Why not have a chinmey pocket in the case that allows for this, as it would have been so easy to do. Instead, I have the chimney up all the time, and if travelling with my portable oven, can't travel as easily as I would like. As an aside, the diameter of the top of the chimney sleeve is less that that of the chimney, so doesn't sit snuggly.But, it is well made, and does fit the rest of the oven extremely well. In summary, so such a great design of oven, Ooni could have done better in my view.

I bought this as part of the accessory bundle with a Karu 12G. It is almost impossible to fit because it is so tight, so I went back to Ooni to check that I had been sent the right cover. It is clearly designed for the Karu 12 and not the Karu 12G (they are slightly different in shape) but I was told that it is suitable for both. On the back of that advice I tried to fit it again and broke the handle on the fuel cover. Be vary wary of purchasing this for a Karu 12G Oven!

OMG!We bought this with reasonable expectations that it would cook pizza on occasion, but we were massively impressed.The oven is pretty much ready to cook out of the box, not much setup needed, we fired it up and prepped the dough.. then when it was up to temp put in a 'trial' to see how it'd go and after about 1min we pulled out a pizza better than anything i'd eaten before.. I've eaten a lot of pizza!The oven is remarkably easy to keep at temperature, we've tried wood pellets, charcoal, wood and we also have the gas attachment. All are simple to use and easy to switch between solid/gas fuel.. maybe 2mins max.Honestly, I have spent 5mins trying to think of a downside to give a balanced review and I cannot think of anything. Material seems rugged enough and fit is very good. Adjustable straps go under unit to secure it. Handles make carrying very easy. With the material covered the entire Ooni. Only the top and sides are covered and bottom is exposed. Straps connect the two sides to support lifting by the handle and carrying.
Overall, this is a smart purchase because you'll eventually need a custom cover for any Ooni. Even if you don't leave your Ooni outside, it's nice to be able to quickly move it around with this cover.Unfortunately, there are some design improvements that could be made. On the inside of the cover, many of the seams are covered with strips of clear flexible material that I assume is for waterproofing. After having my Ooni for only a few months, this material started to loosen from the cover itself, and these strips of material now get caught on the lever and nut for my chimney vent when I cover and uncover my Ooni. It's extremely annoying and I'm going to have to remove the waterproofing material to prevent damage to the cover. I don't want to rip anything.
The oven is amazing ! I bought it with the idea to use at home and on the road when we go out on our Airstream. The option of different fuels, is great as you can get wood or charcoal when on the road.The only con I would say is it takes time in between pizzas so sometimes someone will be eating before the other pizzas are done.
The oven delivers a spectacular pie!! The only issue (I’m sure it’s operator error) is then pizza's getting to much toppings and getting heavy or sitting to long and sticking to the peel. I have used cornmeal with some success but keeping the bottom of the pizza floured seems to be the way to go. Regardless, when it all works it’s awesome pizza!!
This cover is easy to put on. It even has tags saying which way is front and back. I love the handles making it a breeze to pack up and carry along. I will say that having it cover the smoke stack is a bit odd. You’d think you’d want to make the unit smaller when packing it up to take somewhere. That being said, we haven’t tried that feature yet and just love being able to cover it up when we’re done using it (and it’s cooled down) and leaving it set up and ready to use next time!
I love this carry cover, it's not a bag as such and it doesn't need to be - think more of a shower cap design!. It goes over the top of the Karu oven and the elasticated 'waistband' grips underneath to the point of the oven's foldable legs (you can choose to have the legs folded or unfolded when using the cover). The carry handle straps then go under the oven and attach to the other side to make a very secure carrying position.I was concerned that I didn't want to transport or store my oven with the chimney in place as it would be too bulky and awkward. The Ooni team were very quick to reassure me with a little trick!
