The thermometer on the door is not so useful. Get a infrared (IR) noncontact thermometer for best temperature measurements.Overall, very pleased and happy.

Love the outcome.

Great product- makes amazing pizzas!!A little pricey for the size. Honestly, expected steel to be a little thicker?Cooks very well! We have used it multiple times in the 1st month of ownership! The 16” is perfect size for an individual pizza. We already had our own swift, so didn’t buy another.Have not yet bought the conversion kit for propane, as we like using the wood pellets so much.We have used homemade dough, store bough dough, & store bought par-baked crust. All turned out delicious, but homemade dough is my favorite!Don’t forget the dusting of cornmeal to get the proper slide off the swift! Must be careful tho- a buildup of cornmeal can ignite in the back of the oven!Would buy this again, as it is already a family favorite!

My husband is a classically trained chef. He LOVES this oven! When I first bought it for him he used it almost every day. We just moved from Texas and we’re still getting our house up. I think his one regret is not having a great space for the oven yet. He cooks everything in it from Pizza to breakfast tacos and vegetables. Anything you like to eat? He cooks in this oven.. The assembly was easy and neither of us is very handy. Also, you need to make sure to have some thing metal or stone that you can put it on because it is so hot. It is very light and easy to take with you places. Lastly, I got a great deal on the oven using the American Express platinum card I saved $75. I bought the oven in a bundle which also saved me more money. I feel like I got a great deal.

Pizzas are ok but I encountered some surprises
18 April 2022

I could make some good pizzas but I got some big problems ( and I think that for some of them I should at least be warned):1. Even with the chimney fully open, you can't use a lot of wood because everything in the oven gets dirty with black soot (and I mean everything, door glass and also the pizza stones).I assume I am not experienced enough ( I used the oven only two times ), but I think I should be warned, also because every ooni video seems to say "it is enough to put wood and close the oven".In my opinion, if the flame is too intense, you have to open the door glass (or the best thing is to not use too much wood). Also if you are using less wood, door glass will get darker anyways,so, in my experience, if you use the oven a bit (>= 3 pizzas) you will have to ... MoreI could make some good pizzas but I got some big problems ( and I think that for some of them I should at least be warned):1. This is never shown or explained in every ooni documentation/video I could see.2. The oven was not in an optimal state, because there were scratches (small ones, but in a new product it's not a nice thing to see,and they were many).3. At the moment this is the major issue : The "" auto cleaning "" pizza stones do not auto clean. I've used oven two times, and the second time I flipped the stones as suggested by ooni.Well, when I finished the cooking, the lower side of the pizza stones is not cleaned. I'm not a crazy lover of the cleanest things but I can assure the pizza stones are really dirty.I don't know how to make the next pizzas because the stones seems too much dirty to me and it seems I can't wipe them out using water because it is discouraged by ooni.So what I can do to cook pizzas again ? Actually I'm stuck on this issue and not very happy.I will let you know if I find a solution.I can raise up my score if there is a working solution for the stones, but now this issue is really annoying.

Severly dissappointed
27 December 2021

Having worked at a pizza restaraunt, i was super excited when my wife got me the 16" pro multi fuel oven for christmas. I cannot express my disappointment with this product. For starters, this model DOES NOT INCLUDE the propane burner attachment. How they are able to charge $500 for this blows my mind. I spent slightly more on my pellet grill and got 3 times the chinese metal and electronics. Second, the pizza oven does get hot. So hot in fact that you have black toppings by the time the bottom crust is cooked. It wasnt until my 3rd pizza that i had an edible product. The stones do not get hot enough to adequately cook the bottom crust before blackening the top. This oven design needs serious improvement. Do not waste your money.

Steep Learning Curve
14 January 2022

It was easy to assemble and initially seemed well made. Upon use, I found the door stuck on the upper catch when the oven was hot. I had to keep a hammer near to gently tap the bottom to loosen it to get it open. The rear hatch does not seal well and smoke and soot escape from it now leaving a discolored area. The stones are now partially black from use. Mastering the use of wood to heat the oven is difficult. It takes a lot of trial and error to learn how much wood to use and how often to feed it. When all goes well it makes good pizza, but we've had a couple of disasters. We're not giving up on it but it's harder to get right than I thought it would be. I have 40 years experience cooking over charcoal on a Weber grill and thought I could pick this up quickly but ... MoreIt was easy to assemble and initially seemed well made. Steep Learning Curve

I received my oven nearly five months ago, and I've just gotten to the point where I feel like I can successfully use it. Initial setup of the oven was quick and easy. Learning the nuances of using it—starting & keeping the fire going, managing the heat, knowing where to place the pizzas in the oven, never taking my eyes off of them once they're in—takes patience and time. If you're using wood/coal, there will be a lot of ash & soot; I wasn't prepared for that. I burned many a pizza and ended up with a mess of toppings all over the stones along the way, but with practice I've improved. It's not easy and takes time to get good, so give yourself some grace. With a few months of practice, I've been able to turn out some truly excellent pizzas (much better than a conventional oven), and I've received rave reviews from guests who've eaten them. It's a lot of work, but I'd say, if you're patient, it's worth the effort.

The concept was great. The build quality, and customer service was subpar. Initially I used my oven biweekly. Upon receiving my oven I noticed the fiberglass insulation exposed. No big deal, untill I noticed foul smells and residual fibers once using it. I tried to use the "warrenty service" to no avail I just got a some foreigner via email downplaying my concerns with generic responses. Dismissing the build quality even though I submitted their requested photos of the fiberglass. They blamed my results due to my choice of fuel. Well if this is a multi fuel oven why is my choice of oak the reason of chemical formaldehyde smell and fibers? I use the same wood in my smoker to cook my bbq. I'm not happy with my $700 purchase. The warrenty and customer service was worthless. I should have built my own pizza oven for the price albeit not portable, but it would have been more functional and non toxic. Your customer service sucks, enjoy my hard earned money. Your product sits in my shed unused now because I don't want to eat anymore toxic pizza or bread. Everyone I Initially praised and told about this product I now warn them of the scam it is. It's a dangerous product and overpriced. I explained my concerns of fiberglass and toxic gas on my food, and you just dismissed it. When indeed the oven does get hot enough to burn the fiberglass and turn it into toxic formaldehyde gasses. The ball is in your court. Contact me to actually try to make this rite. You ripped me off $700 and gave me no customer service or any type of resolution. Now you want my review. Here it is. Post this on your website.

Very well made and easy to use
9 April 2021

After waiting months to receive the Ooni Pro I must admit that my expectations for build quality, packaging and overall fit and finish were all exceeded when the oven arrived. The oven is very well made, the packaging and manuals were exceptional and the oven worked exactly as depicted in the dozens of Youtube videos I had consumed in the time between ordering and delivery. One interesting change from the previous units, it appears to me, is that Ooni switched from 4 square stones to 2 rectangular stones. I do not know if this impacts the functioning, but i can imagine that it reduces the possibility that the peal would get caught on the seam between the front and back square stones. I do not know if this impacts the functioning, but i can imagine that it reduces the possibility that the peal would get caught on the seam between the front and back square stones. The downsides i see to the change are that they are larger, heavier and more awkward to store and possibly more easily damaged. Again, not having any prior experience, the pros could easily outweigh these issues. My only frustrations are not with the oven but rather with the lack of availability of significant accessories. Specifically, the cover has been sold out for months and months as well as the gas burner attachment. The burner attachment I can live without since I went with the Pro specifically for the wood-fired capability, but not having a cover or any ability to obtain one is very frustrating. I will attempt to fashion something myself, but sure wish that Ooni could remedy their supply chain problems. With all that said - Great job with maintaining the quality of the product that you delivered!
