Opinel No.10 Pruning Knife
The Opinel beech handle pruning knife N.10 is a gardener’s best friend. The curved blade acts like a miniature sickle, and cuts through stems with ease. Use to prune shrubs or thin branches from fruit trees. The pruning knife is also handy for harvesting lettuces, cabbages, and other thick-stemmed vegetables. This Opinel pruning knife has a 10cm blade. The modified Sandvik stainless-steel blade has a high carbon content and added chromium, for excellent cutting quality and resistance to corrosion. The handle is made from durable French beechwood and is varnished for resistance to water. The Opinel family started as blacksmiths in Savoie, France in 1800. By 1890, Joseph Opinel had developed the first line of Opinel folding penknives, for which the company would soon become famous. The design is still true to the 200-year-old originals with just one little change – a rotating ‘cap’ where the blade meets the handle, so the knife can be locked open or closed. Opinel used their experience to make a series of high-quality gardening tools – most of which also fold away for safety in storage.

Easily ordered using Etsy App and Apple Pay. Dispatched quickly, excellent tracking info and arrived in good time.\nThe Opinel Garden Knife was a gift but I already have one. Used frequently for garden tasks and harvesting. It has the usual Opinel quality and the large curved Serpette blade is brilliant when cutting cabbages etc.\nHighly recommend Knife.

The knife is made of quality that uphold opinel’s brand! This knife is useful for gardening, highly recommended. The only criticism is that the knife is slightly too big and cumbersome to carry in the pocket.

This is a very nice old school harvesting knife and it does its job very well. It's a bit bigger than I expected, but I didn't check the measurement so it's my fault

The blade doesn't lock when closed like it does on regular Opinel knives and it sticks pretty far out of the handle when it's in the closed position. I expected this because of the blade shape but it's more than I thought. It also arrived with a dirty blade. I thought maybe I was sent a used one so I had it exchanged and it looked the exact same. They must not polish the blades in the manufacturing process. Aside from that, it's nice and sharp. Looking forward to using it in the garden this summer.
Given the price point, the quality of the knife fell below my expectations. The blade seemed a bit on the “rustic” side and the overall fit and finish was not top quality.
I bought this for my partner as a gift. The knife itself is great, and so far has held to his heavy-handedness! The company also provided an excellent service with adding a special inscription to the handle, so a very pleased customer and would 100% recommend it!
An excellent knife, I have several Opinel knives and they are all well made and do the task they are designed for. Exemplary blades and the locking mechanism is simple and safe. Use this all the time in potting shed and garden. Highly recommended.
I've used this knife to cut daffodils for sale and it works a treat. It'll be a great tool for further cutting flowers.
Came in time, knife sold as in picture.writing looks great. The only reason not full stars. I feel the engraving is more like a transfer and will rub off in a short space of time. Then a proper engraving
I was excited to get this for taking cuttings while out on hikes, but mine had the deeper area of the groove for the curved blade tip misplaced and so it wouldn't lock closed. I also found it was a bit bigger than I felt was necessary and it make it feel somewhat more fragile during use because of the length of the blade. I ended up returning it because I don't want to worry about it accidentally opening while in my pocket.
