I love this contact lens solution. It cleans the contacts and moisturizes them making them so comfortable to wear. I also noticed that my eyes are not as red with this contact lens solution as with some other ones like Biotrue. I think it may be due to the fact that it moisturizes the lenses. Overall I really love it as it gives me 8 hours and more of comfortably being able to wear my contact lenses.

I started using this solution, based on an optometrist's recommendation. I was not disappointed. It almost feels like my contact lenses aren't inserted after this solution is used for overnight cleaning. It is also very good for when one has to remove a lens to remove debris (an eyelash, a fiber in the eye.) I carry one in my office backpack for such emergencies. It is a good investment to use this solution to clean your contact lenses overnight.

I have been buying this brand for years. About a month ago I started smelling a funky smell in my bathroom sink.Tried drano, enzymes and vinegar but the smell kept coming back.Had open a new bottle of Opti Free and spilled some on my hand and realized where the horrible smell was coming from.I googled it and other people have been complaining about a foul odor.I called Alcon and it should not smell. They want me to send back and they will send replacements. But the product needs to be recalled.I went to my cvs and there was more on the shelf with the same lot number but not sure if they will do anything. He asked what formula I was using and I said "Pure Moist...I've been using it for years!" so he sent me home, saying if it continued, I may need to change contact lens brands (even though I've been wearing Air Optix Aquas for over 8 years.)The blurriness continued and I couldn't figure out why...I hadn't changed contact lens brands, was following all protocol with hygiene and was (I thought) using the same Pure Moist. It was getting to the point I almost made an appointment with my primary care doctor to see if there was something else wrong causing my vision to go blurry. One day, I was in the bathroom and had nothing to do but look around (toilet time, sorry) and I noticed that the Pure Moist bottle had the words "Hydraglyde" on it and a light bulb went off. They changed the formula. I immediately went out and bought another brand (Blink contact lens cleaner...basic of the basic cleanser) and it was like night and day. My vision was clear, I was able to work on the computer without having to "assume" I was writing correctly, etc. I am very happy I figured out the problem, but not so happy about this change. Now...Air Optix Aquas are being phased out, according to my eye doctor, and being replaced with Air Optix Hydraglyde...so you can be sure in the next year or so, I'll have to change brands of contacts...but that's something I'll have to worry about when it happens unfortunately. After doing some research, I realized I'm not the only one unhappy with the change. One reviewer on a site said the Hydraglyde made her feel like she was "looking through a lens that had been covered with vaseline"....yeah that's about right!
I have been using the generic brand for years and it was fine, but my recent bought with dry eye had the eye doctor recommending going back to the name brand. I was skeptical, but was spending a fortune on eye drops. So, I gave it a try and will not go back. We've been using the Opti-Free Puremoist exclusively for almost a year now and even in the peak of dry season, eye drops were only needed a couple of times per month (instead of per day!)
This stuff is notorious for causing eye irritation after prolonged use. I had no issues with it for about year, and then out of no where I had the most intense eye pain and irritation I’ve ever experienced. It was blinding and I could feel the discomfort in my eyes for days. I saw my eye doctor, and she told me that Optifree, compared to other contact solutions, can cause severe eye discomfort with prolonged use. I couldn’t believe it. I stopped using it and switched to Acuvue and I haven’t had a problem since. I would be careful using it longterm!!
my daughter has used this product for years. both the pure moist and the refresh(by mistake). I recently bought her 2 double packs and they both smelled horrible like mold. I called the company and they did replace them. didn't say why they had the smell but immediately offered a replacement. so something is t right. the expiration date was 2025! so he cautious what your putting in your eye as I seen where there was a recall a while back on the refresh!
I really disliked this solution. I've been a longtime contact lense wearer since a preteen. This solution seems to make tbe lense not want to sit correctly on my eye. If I switch back to any other multipurpose solution I do not have this problem. I do not recommend if u want to put ur lenses in and not try to blink the blur out all day. Can't believe this had so many great reviews.
I purchased a small bottle of ths for a weekend trip. It isn't the solution I typically use at home. The trip ended up being ruined because after soaking my contacts in this solution friday night i could barely see the rest of the weekend. My eyes became red, irritated, and painful. I don't use this solution at home. I only bought it because it was a small easy to travel with bottle. It cost me a trip to the eye doctor, a new pair of contacts, and it took several weeks for my eyes to get back to normal. I wouldn't wish this solution on my worst enemy.
I am a HUGE believer in Opti-Feee. i was having trouble with my contacts by the end of day and I switched to this a few years back and ill oay every penny for it every time!!! i even got colored contacts once, they hurt my eyes so bad. let them soak overnight in this situation and Viola! i was able to wear them all day. im just a HUGE believer because its been the best I've ever used for cleaning and comfort!
