When i write a review its usually because the product is either really good or really bad. In this case its REALLY good, first let me just mention that it's by far the best tasting whey i've tried so far ...personally i mix 1 scoop to 8 oz of silk coconut milk and let me tell you its orgasmic. Im a big fan of gold standard and i've compared the two and i think i prefer Performance whey..why ? well first of all it has coconut oil in it ...if you know the benefits of coconut oil then i think i have nothing else to say. It has turmeric and annato which are both really good.it has slightly less protein and more carbs than gold standard but not enough to make me think anything negative about it. Overall i would have to say its Equivalent or Better than Gold standard as ... MoreWhen i write a review its usually because the product is either really good or really bad. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the price, it's cheaper than gold standard.

Its estimated usage is 50 shakes/scoops which is roughly $6.48 each day if you have one for breakfast and one before gym, like I do. I feel motivated and energized after each shake to hit the gym and I don't feel glugy or heavy, like other milky products make me feel. You can also mix the powder with water.

I have tried many different protein supplements over the years, and I have to say that Otimum's Performance Whey is my favorite.I'm not a professional body builder by any means. I'm almost 50 years old, I'm 6'2" tall and currently weigh 238 lbs. My goal in the gym is to increase muscle mass and lose the last bit of fat that is stubbornly attached to my belly and sides. It's almost gone though. I just want to stay healthy, keep my strength, and of course look my best.Regarding this protein, I can honestly say that I can tell a big difference in my strength and size when I switch to it from anything else. I like to change out what I drink every couple of weeks, and every time I get back on Performance Whey, it's like night and day. It tastes just like ice cream if you whip it up right in the blender. Milk, banana, ice and the protein (maybe some peanut butter for added flavor). That's it. Instant chocolate shake.Needless to say, I highly recommend this product. It really does work - for me anyway. Good luck!

I love pretty much any product by Optimum Nutrition and this whey protein is no exception. I use their preworkout and several varieties of their protein. Almost every flavor I have tried tastes great. Their ingredients are high quality and it’s a widely available brand. I drink a protein shake every day and it’s always ON. I buy their protein powders in bulk on Amazon and I highly recommend the vanilla ice cream flavor!!!!

This is for the double chocolate flavor. When I first started taking protein I bought this and it was really good but I do like to mix up the flavors but every time I change I always go back to this one. This is the only one I have continued to buy and I've never bought any other protein more than once. Very smooth and not diluted. I drink this with water. You don't even need to shake it that much and it will be smooth.

I cannot come up with
20 March 2017

I cannot come up with anything positive about this product. Ive tried it nude (just almond milk nothing else) and also as a Fruit Smoothie with Frozen Organic Berries and Almond Milk and the taste would be described as bland at best. The only positive I can find is the 20+ grams of protein but even that is not good enough. The majority of most Sports Nutrition companies are around 25 grams or more and this is around 22. Anyway this 58 year old Recreational Athlete says to stay clear of this brand and flavor and if you are looking for another Vanilla flavored Whey Protein supp, look elsewhere.

Great protein powder! I've been using it for a while now. It mixes very well in a Protein Shaker and mixes even better using my Nutribullet with Goat's Milk.

Performance Whey is obviously intended
1 April 2012

Performance Whey is obviously intended for individuals operating on a limited budget. However, the price does come close to aligning with the cheap ingredients. For instance, the "blend" is approximately 95% whey concentrate, the cheapest source of protein. Each scoop is about 56% protein and the rest is filler, which explains the 9g of carbs (3-4g of sugar) and 4g of fat. There's nothing wrong with fat and carbs, but if you're paying for a protein powder, you probably want protein. Performance Whey might be a tad cheaper than other products, yet it’s still a terrible value. You can find plenty of superior protein products at a cheaper price. Spend a few extra dollars and treat yourself to a protein powder that you'll actually enjoy consuming.

Purchased this product back on
3 November 2018

Purchased this product back on 2015 just never did a review. This protein was probably in my opinion the best protein I have ever taken to date! I seen the most results with this protein in such a short time I took it everyday after my workout and in a good months time I noticed great muscle gains! I will be ordering this product again in December! I did not rate at a solid 10 cause I don’t feel you can truly rate a supplement an honest 10/10.

This particular Whey was recommended
14 February 2017

This particular Whey was recommended by a friend. As a person who had two terrible experiences with whey protein powder in the past, I'll tell you that this brand has blown me away! You only need about 7 ounces of water to drink the whole serving (one rounded scoop) and even then the flavor is diluted! Previous brands I've used had flavors so intense with such bad aftertastes that I would gag and almost throw up after drinking any of it. Can't say enough good things about this product! BCAAs in it too!
