I am very impressed with how clean my teeth felt after my very first brushing. The shape of the brush head allows each tooth to get thoroughly cleaned. The oral B comes highly recommended by my dentist for plaque removal, leaves my teeth feeling clean and smooth. Although flossing is still required this is good part oral hygiene. Let's you know if you are putting too much pressure while brushing, and has a timer so you don't underbrush or over brush as long as you spend a few seconds on each tooth you have enough time with the 2 min timer to brush all your teeth. I use another electric toothbrush from another company and the brush is a long one not like the oral B where you can focus on the tooth all around from the top as well. These are made for the iO series toothbrushes so they fit perfect. Most of the other toothbrush heads out there are not compatible with the iO so you have to pay attention, even if they look similar you have to read the package. I honestly can’t tell the difference between these and the ones that came with the toothbrush but I brush on the sensitive setting so that may be why. They give a great clean, my teeth feel like I just got a cleaning at the dentist. Also nice that these came in black as the black ones can sometimes be hard to find. I haven’t used these long enough or even had my toothbrush long enough to know if there is any difference in durability or how long they last compared to other iO brush head variations. I would recommend.

The downside is that Oral B uses your phone's camera for "coaching," so to benefit from the app you need to be facing your phone and it occasionally loses its orientation. Still better than the accelerometer in the Philips, which frequently gets confused over whether you're brushing the front or back surface of your teeth, and has no option to record brushing the occlusal (top surface). You also are limited to 20 seconds brushing each sextant, and the app moves on whether you finished or not - the Oral B app doesn't switch sextants until your teeth are clean.All in all, a better brush and a better head than the latest Philips, for function and utility -again my opinion - but either brush will improve your brushing habits and oral health.
I have an Oral B toothbrush from years ago. When I received the Oral B io3 i did not immediately see any real difference other than the handle appeared to be a little more sleek. When I initially started to use the toothbrush I found there were actually some vast improvements from my older item. Getting used to applying enough pressure to keep the light green was an eye opener! I now know I had not been brushing properly in the past. I like having the different modes available. I have chosen the sensitive mode as my go to. The whitening and tongue cleaning modes seem intriguing and as I continue to use this toothbrush I will definitely be trying them long term. We received this product free from TopBox to try in exchange for our honest review. My husband's dentist has been telling him to switch to an electric toothbrush because he's too hard on his teeth, so this came at the perfect time! The toothbrush lights up if you're applying too much pressure, so it's a great visual reminder to be more gentle. My husband also likes the convenience of the electric brush and said brushing is overall less tedious. It has a built-in timer so you know when you've brushed enough! It does seem to hold its charge well, but would be a little annoying for travel for 2 reasons - the brush head doesn't come with a cap (so bristles are exposed), and the charging platform, while not bulky, is an extra item to potentially have to pack.
I am reviewing the brush head that came with the Oral-B iO Series 3 Rechargeable Toothbrush I received. I didn't get the additional brush heads in the mail. I liked the size of the brush head, it fits so much better between my teeth than a manual. My teeth felt cleaner and smoother. The brush replacement reminder is a feature I really like. I tend to loose track of when to replace mine. Seeing the bristle color fade will indicate when it is time for me to get a new one. This review will be speaking strictly the toothbrush head and not the system itself. I tend to prefer the longer style brush head, as opposed to the circle, but it is growing on me. I can see how it better cleans your teeth, it just takes longer to clean your tongue. My teeth definitely feel clean, and also polished, I guess would be how I could best describe it. The bristle density is good, and after a month of use it appears to still be holding up pretty well. If it does last three months before needing replacing, that is a decent amount of time, but I still find the replacement heads a little pricey. *I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review*
The Oral-B iO Gentle Care Replacement Brush Heads provide a superior gentle clean that I just don't get from other brands. Gentle care was great on my sensitive teeth. I love being able to easily replace brush heads on my electric brush vs a traditional toothbrush. Comes with two brush heads that last. You can purchase in either black or white. Works with the Oral-B iO electric toothbrush handles. I would highly recommend Oral-B iO systems for a better feeling clean. The item description was just as described and I would buy it again.
