Amazing transition from a spin brush. Similar to the polishing tool used by dentists. Head is small but allows for the entire back of teeth to be brushed compared to the old spin brush, and doesn't stop under pressure. Holds a charge for several days and the performance is outstanding. Be forewarned that this toothbrush is like using a Dremel on your teeth so I wouldn't use it if you have any weak or loose fillings. Within a week of using with total toothpaste the stains around my gum line are almost gone. Unbelievable price for a product actually made in USA!

This toothbrush doesn’t hold a charge longer than 4 brush cycles. There’s no timer or auto off function which would be nice. Philips has a built in timer and auto off for the same price. Also there’s no battery indicator to let you know to recharge the toothbrush. Twice now my toothbrush has just stopped working mid brush and then it’s just an expensive regular toothbrush. Not worth it. If you’re looking for a good electric toothbrush at this price point then go with Philips sonicare.

Where has this thing been all my life!? I’ve been using a “cheap” electric toothbrush for the past 15 or so years. I’ve always wanted to switch to a smaller head and a better brand. Man am I glad I did. I had no idea toothbrushes could be this effective. I literally feel like I left the dentist after a cleaning. The different settings are an excellent option for those who need it less or more intense. The only con would be it doesn’t have a charging indicator light. Not a huge issue but would be perfect with that feature. Highly Recommend!!!

This is the best electric toothbrush I ever bought. It has 3 speeds, and the highest speed feels like being at the dentist's office. My teeth feel a lot cleaner. I was a little worried that at that high of a speed it could make my gums or teeth hurt as I often have sensitive tooth pain. It actually was very gentle and made my tooth pain go away. It seems to be very well made and is SO powerful on the highest speed. I love the way the brush head feels on my teeth, not harsh at all. You don't need a lot of toothpaste either because it foams it up well. The only thing I hope is that it lasts a long time. I had given up on electric toothbrushes in the past because they did not even last me a year and often much less. I can't say anything about the longevity of this one ... I absolutely love it!
Right out of the box, there are problems. There is no light on the toothbrush or the charging base to tell you it is charging let alone when it is fully charged. The instructions included do not even apply the toothbrush in the package. The instructions refer to the type of toothbrush, not the model number or name, which is confusing. The box for the Oral-B Pro 500 says it is type 3757 (see photo) -- so if you threw the box out, you're out of luck knowing this. It doesn't matter, because the instructions never reference type 3757. The manual refers to types 3708, 3710, and 3791 (see photo). And I know turning it on is kinda obvious, but this model has two modes: sensitive and daily clean. I don't know how to get which. I assume the first time I hit the on button, it's in one of these modes and the second time it's in the other. But, how about explaining that in the instructions? Instead, they say "Brushing modes (depending on model)" and then describes the modes but not how to tell which mode you're in or how to change the mode (see photo). Lastly, their satisfaction guaranteed for 60 days require you send to Oral-B the toothbrush in its original packaging with the original receipt. So, again, if you threw out the box, then tough luck. Oh, and you pay for shipping.
The Oral-B Pro 500 is a Great Electric Toothbrush! I do not feel that terrible gritty feeling on my teeth like I do after using a regular toothbrush. I like the two minute timer which is very helpful to make sure I brush longer! I need that because using a regular toothbrush I know I didn't brush long enough! The 30 second pulse reminds you to move on to a new section of your mouth. I like that it's waterproof so you don't have worry about ruining it. Another selling point and mainly one of the biggest one for me besides that it is a name brand item, is the price.
Oral-B has been my number one brand for many years, more than 30 years. This toothbrush cleans, but a bit weird. Bounces all over the place and a whole lot of vibration. Yes! I have a perfect bite and teeth, but I don't think it would matter if one did. Maybe if you have a large mouth ~ it may work out fine or someone with thick teeth. Oral-B isn't what they were... More extreme power isn't always better. Making different brushes (soft, medium, hard) okay, but no matter what type of bristles you put on the Pro 500 or on their Pro 100 it still way too much motor for brushing your teeth. I would have settled with the Pro 100 but there is a failed flaw in operation. So I bought this Pro 500 ~ its worse because of the bristle design. Both of these pros have the same ... Both of these pros have the same power ~ too much power. It makes me wonder if the designers even tried using the toothbrushes ~ regularly? Then Oral - B has a Oral-B Revolution battery powered toothbrush for $10 ~ good toothbrush but the battery runs out of juice in 30 days or less. I wanted to win with one of Oral-B's toothbrushes, because I like the round bristle head and rotation, but I'm running out of options. Oral-B go back to the good ole days and give customers a tone down motor and batteries that last.
The Oral-B toothbrush arrived the day after I placed the order and I was impressed with its delivery turnaround time. I immediately had to unwrap the box, plug in the base of the toothbrush and proceed to read the directions. I was impressed that this item had a two-year warranty! I registered the product online with Oral B and was surprised to receive a thank you email. As for using the toothbrush, it is easy to hold and the head size is just right. The brush head is just the right size to be maneuverable in your mouth and it even gives you a warning when you have used the brush for the suggested time of 2 minutes. For the price of less than $20 it is definitely a toothbrush that I would recommend and works as well as some of the higher priced brushes.
I feel that my teeth are cleaner with just this toothbrush than some dentists make with their fancy equipment. The timer helps me brush each of the four sections of my mouth equally. The pulse that it gives every 30 seconds is noticeable and helps! Another thing is the two modes. I usually use sensitive near my gums and chewing surfaces. This is really easy to do since I brush that area first then with another push of the power button, it ramps up the power. The recharging also saves a lot of money on batteries. The Oral-B Pro 500 made me love Oral-B and I don’t think I can use any other company again. This is so much better than the equate brushes. In summary, this brush has many features that give a budget friendly yet amazingly clean brush. Its timer and modes ... This brush paired with sensodyne is an amazing experience.(100% worth the money and is pretty much even more worth it compared to the Pro 1000!)
Wow not my first choice (that was suddenly out of stock when I tried to buy it) but its even worse than I anticipated. This is LOUD, very rough on teeth and gums, and the brush head is slightly bigger than a normal Oral-B brush making it harder to use. The handle is bigger around and the unit heavier in the hand. The cord is really short for the charger. This is not a 2 minute timer but a many time vibrator so it constantly vibrates while brushing instead of at end of process. It also has 3 speeds which is totally unneeded and you have to go through the 2 rough ones to get to one slightly less rough. Add in the ugly black color that arrived already covered in white dust and this is an all around loser.
