The New Openwater Core is specifically designed for swimming and training in open water as safely as possible. It provides maximum visibility thanks to its orange panels. It also provides the thermal insulation needed to maintain an ideal body temperature. The use of 2 to 2.5 mm thick Yamamoto neoprene provides great freedom of movement for longer, more comfortable swimming. HIGH VISIBILITY To keep you as safe as possible in the water, this wetsuit has been designed with a high-visibility orange that will make you visible to boats and other swimmers, so you can be located at any time. FLEXIBILITY For more flexibility in all phases of the swim stroke, Yamamoto 39 neoprene is used together with 2 mm Infinityskin high-end lining. This material has high elasticity that allows it to be used in different areas of mid-range wetsuits. This material requires between 45% and 35% less force to stretch than conventional neoprene. FIT The 2.5 mm Yamamoto 38 material is used in the torso and legs. This technology provides good thermal insulation and a good fit to the swimmer's body, preventing the neoprene from separating from the skin and water flowing into the suit.

My previous Orca wetsuit ( Orca TRN ) nearly lasted for two years. I had a 2 to 3 inch split below the zip so hence my new wetsuit. The hi-vis wetsuit is very visible to boats when swimming in open water. I have swam in very cold water ( approx 5 degrees centigrade ) for 31 minutes and found the wetsuit very comfortable. I wasn't too cold when I got out of the water.

Bought the Orca as a present for my wife. The first one was faulty, so i returned it and bought it from Sigmasports instead. She adores the wetsuit, says it does everything she could want from it. If anything the sizing might come up a little small but otherwise a great product.

I chose this wetsuits after reading the reviews. Love the bright colour and the feel of the suit. Tried it for the first time this week, 12 degree lake, and it was perfect. Goes on quite easily, allowed good movement for front crawl and it kept me warm too. Easy to remove although I struggled to get my feet out, however that's just me I think. Love it and can't wait to use it again

This is a great wetsuit for a fab price (especially in the sale!) good range of movement in the arms with the flexy material there. I love the high viz, great for lake swimming, along with bright float is good early warning to pleasure boaters! I needed to size up; am comfortably in the middle of recommended stats (height, weight, measurements) for M, but it was tight, restricted arm range by pulling arms back and wouldn’t have been comfortable swimming in - L perfect.
My first wetsuit so nothing to compare it to. It was recommended by my partner who has a different model and it’s very comfy giving me the confidence to swim 2 and more kms at a time. I’d recommend it based on my limited experience. Cheers.
Pro's: Absolutely love the fit on this wetsuit. It feels like a second skin. Hi Vis in open water can only be a good thing where there is boat traffic/ paddle boards/ jet skies etc & why more Companies don't use hi Vis neoprene is a mystery to me. Lovely fit on the wrists & ankles too.Cons:. Water ingress as soon as I step into the water. I can feel it with every step the deeper I descend. It appears this suit holds water. My legs especially seem to drag & I'm having to work harder to maintain my stroke, which inturn increases my breathing rate. It's an uncomfortable swim & although I'm fully confident in my own abilities, I'm not confident with this suit. It drags. Conclusion: Great for a summer bimble, but if distance is your thing, buy a higher end suit.
Bought for winter sea swimming. Warm enough keep me in the water and not too buoyant for front crawl or at all restrictive.Very high Viz.Great value, good quality wetsuit.Fast delivery and simple returns policy (bought 2 pairs gloves returned 1 pair)Will buy from Sigma sports again.*****
The Orca core fits quite well, no water ingress anywhere, though it feels tight around the shoulders and I got some bad chafing around where the velcro is on the back. Their core version in the same size causes much less chafing.
Delivery and Packaging spot on .I went for size 7…….I’m 5ft 11 and 78kg with a 31 inside leg and a 40” chest , it fits like a glove , best fitting suit I’ve had ,it also has amazing flexibility around the shoulders . This wetsuit is a winner .
Absolutely fabulous wetsuit, perfect fit the sizing guide was really helpful. Have used it down to about 18 degrees so far and has been lovely and toasty. Very flexible allowing good freedom of movement even for breast stroke and the high viz orange is fantastic - have had loads of other open water swimmers ask me about it as that really appeals especially for sea swimming. Overall a really good buy - 100% satisfied
