I love both products but do find this one to be superior. I purchased this new Orgain Collagen + Superfoods on sale at Costco recently for less than my usual preferred brand. After using it a few days, I can confidently say I prefer this collagen to others. It mixes easily with my coffee in the morning as well as cold liquids like smoothies. It fully dissolves without ‘gumming up’ or creating hard chunks. I prefer the Unflavored version because I can mix it into beverages or add it to meals for an extra boost of nutrition. I purchased this new Orgain Collagen + Superfoods on sale at Costco recently for less than my usual preferred brand. After using it a few days, I can confidently say I prefer this collagen to others. It mixes easily with my coffee in the morning as well as cold liquids like smoothies. It fully dissolves without ‘gumming up’ or creating hard chunks. I prefer the Unflavored version because I can mix it into beverages or add it to meals for an extra boost of nutrition. The product is almost flavorless but does have a very slight taste you will immediately detect if you are familiar with bovine collagen peptides. My husband mixes it in with his milk cereal in the morning and says he cannot taste it at all. In addition to 19g of protein to start my day, this supplement provides calcium, iron, and vitamin C to support the collagen absorption with 11 superfoods. I feel a great and have a pleasant ‘boost’ when I use this collagen that I don’t get with others I’ve tried. I should note it contains green coffee bean extract and green tea extract. I am not caffeine sensitive and typically fuel myself with a pot coffee Diet Coke before noon. However, there is a notable difference between using 1/2 a scoop of this powder in a cup of coffee vs 1 full scoop. I usually use 1/2 a scoop. I found my ADHD medication does not play nice with this product when consumed at the same time using a full scoop of this supplement. There are no warnings on the label regarding stimulant effects, caffeine, or drug interactions. I would be aware of these ingredients and your consumption if you consume caffeine or any prescription medications that may interact. These two ingredients are commonly found in OTC diet supplements with consumer safety labels. Otherwise, I love this product and will continue purchasing it going forward.

Comparing this version to the "50 Superfoods" version

I tried this regular Orgain Collagen Peptides, and then I tried the version that says something about "50 Superfoods," so I can compare the two---which is something I had hoped to find when I was trying to choose which one to buy! The texture is quite different: the superfoods version is finer/denser, almost like flour, as opposed to the regular version which is in texture more like sugar. The regular version completely disappears into my coffee after stirring it in; the superfoods version left some sludgey residue in the bottom of my cup, so now I keep the spoon in my mug and stir occasionally to keep that from happening. Good quality third party tested collagen peptide. Looks the same vs Vital Protein brand. Quality ingredient and composition of typ 1, 2, 3 collagen package in GMP facility. I take it with juices and morning coffee - doesn’t add much taste but texture differ slightly. Good anti aging benefit and improvement to wrinkles nd fine lines with clinical studies done on collagen peptide powder diet. If decency in collagen especially for menopausal and elderly whose collagen production declines with good effect . I been taking collagen peptides powders for two years. I take it everyday. I’ve been using this daily for the past month. I use two scoops in my black coffee or lemon water. Mixes well in room temp or warmer liquid and is absolutely tasteless. I suggest icing your cold drinks after mixing.Very little, if any, change in texture of a drink.I’m 64, and concerned for my skin and bone health, and lucky that I had just a little creakiness in my joints. Creakiness no more! My joints and muscles feel great. Hope at some point my skin will show benefits as well. I think it’s worth using another couple months for more results.

Stop using large containers

I have no evidence to suggest these products do don’t what they intend to do which is provide organic protein or collagen through natural sources. However my major woe with them is more about the deceit I feel comes with the product packaging. I recent bought the Collagen powder from Costco and upon opening the product I realized the container was half full!! Now this is just a one off thing I also have bought the protein powder and it’s the same situation. My question to the producers is why? Please tell me the justification for such a ridiculous size container? Is it so I believe I am getting more for my $? Because they are a reasonable price. Truly I can’t understand why it’s legitimately half full. Truly tasteless, and it works!

I have been adding 1-2 capfuls of this collagen to my coffee for almost 2 years to help me while I was going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) which included mummified skin, full body rashes, brittle nails, and chronic hair loss.I stopped using this collagen after I recovered from TSW. But then I developed joint pain (I'm young) as a side effect of the medication/treatment. So I started back on the collagen. About 2 weeks later, I realized my hip and knee pain had resolved.I really noticed the difference while overseas for 7 weeks recently, because I forgot to pack some collagen to take with me. Works Great in Hot Drinks--But NOT in Cold!

This works well for me as a little extra protein in the morning, as well as strengthening my nails (and, I hope, my ligaments, etc.). I wasn't sure if I would see any difference, but my fingernails are definitely stronger since I started taking these collagen peptides. My nails are naturally very soft and tear easily, always snagging or getting bent back--ouch! While the peptides won't prevent an ouchie from bending back, it seems to make it less likely for me.Because I drink my coffee black, no sugar, I wasn't sure if the "bovine" test would bother me. It did, just a little, the first cup or two, but after I got used to it I scarcely notice it. I tried it with orange juice: yucky, collagen-y, really gross strands and clumps that absolutely would not blend in. Thinking perhaps it was the acid in the OJ that was the problem, I tried it in something else (I forget which cold drink it was, but non-acidic). Same result. And I mean, it's way, way too gross to consume when it clumps up. So...when they say it mixes in "hot or cold" beverages? They lied. Stirs in quite nicely in hot drinks, though. And I imagine if you put creamer in your coffee you'd never notice the taste at all.

I used to put it in my coffee, smoothies, sparkling water. I would even dissolve it in plain water and drink it like a shot to get my protein in when I was low. Literally used to taste very mild almost almost like you didn’t know anything was there. The last 2 I purchased are extremely hard to dissolve, now it’s a light brown color when dissolved and tastes so so bad. I couldn’t even finish it when mixed into a sparkling ice that is normally very powerful. I even reached out to the company and they sent me a new container but it is still the bad formula. I needed to get serious about 50 years ago on protecting my skin from exposure to outside elements. And the nutrition my body needed to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Obviously, it didn't happen. Old age is creepy. It sneaks upon you and rears it's ugly headIn the form of creepy skin. I tried this product for the first time about month ago. I was bruising so easily and ripping my skin open on the slightest 'bump' that I wanted help in preventing some of it. I have noticed a change for the better, though not significant.
