Rapadura sugar is the best sugar you can use. No matter the cost. It hasn’t been refined, pulled apart, seperated then put back together by artificial means and it hasn’t been bleached like white sugar. I was a sceptic a few years ago after my wife went to a Cyndi O’Meara Conference but I’ve now seen the light. I use single origin coffee beans at home and this sugar really redefines the coffee flavour. A caramelly edge to it yet still a great coffee taste. It even goes great in my French earl grey tea. Not to mention cakes and biscuit recipes. I also use my thermomix to further mill it to make icing sugar. It’s such a great all rounder and easily a substitute for white or raw sugar. I get Honest to Goodness’ brand or Cyndi’s Changing Habits brand. Both are awesome.

I used rapadura instead of coconut sugar I usually use for cakes and cookies and I can’t tell the difference with normal sugar!

A really lovely rapadura - nice consistency and not clumpy.
Love Panella/Rapadura sugar. It’s a healthy replacement to white sugar. I use it in everything when it needs sugar and it doesn’t give the kids that white sugar rush. Gives coffee,tea & whipped cream a lovely caramel taste. I find I don’t need to use much either.
A nice caramel flavour about this sugar which enhances the taste of baking.

Best sugar for pretty much all purposes , amazing taste and not overwhelmingly sweet , full of natural nutrients unlike the white refined sugar , it doesn't even seem to spike up ones blood sugar like the white sugar.
this product from Shri lanka is not the best tasting.too sweet means may be adulterated with sugar which is a common practice in the subcontimnet due to suger being cheaper then rapasdura
I've used this product for a few years now and find it to be a nutritious and useful alternative to highly processed concentrated white sugar, when a sweetener is required. 5kg lasts me years.
