Orient TAC00008W0 Bambino II White Dial Automatic Wristwatch

The Orient BAMBINO is the best PMW dress watch for many years now. I already had the first and the third versions (now I only miss the last one) and this 2nd ver is almost unavailable in Europe. The watch arrived has the new movement with the hacking second ! An excellent vintage classic style classic at an affordable price. Amazing delivery in 5 days with the excellent Dhl to pay (with POS!) the customs fees that for Italy, including everything , are just € 28. Watch and fantastic sellers! I am very satisfied. Amazing

I received my watch quickly and packaged well. Both were in perfect condition and exactly as advertised. Marcs youtube video review of the Orient Bambino showed all aspects of the watch and gave me a good representation of what it would look like. I bought this watch as a gift for my fathers 60th birthday and couldn't be happier with the fit ans finish of the bambino, along with the great deal. I will, and already have, purchase from Island Watch again. Marcs customer service is second to none.

Bad experience

I purchased this watch (Dec. 2016) from mygiftshop which was coming as official dealer on Orient USA website.I walked in after-shower environment for 15 minutes. There was no shower and it was just humid. I was surprised to see that there is vapor on my watch screen. This means there is water inside the watch! The watch was not submerged in any water. I am very disappointed. I had a lot of respect for Orient products and thats just gone right now. Very very disappointed.

Beautiful watch.

Very attractive watch that supplies essential timekeeping elements accurately. Date window is a little small making it difficult to read at times. Instructions leave a bit to be desired. For instance, when setting the time it states to be sure that AM or PM is designated, but there is no way to do this that I could discover. The purpose of this would be so that the date would change at midnight rather than noon. Instructions also say one can wind the watch up to 30 revolutions, but doesn't mention when this should be done inasmuch as watch has automatic movement. The price at Creation Watches was the best. Ordered on Sunday and received on Thursday from Singapore. I would recommend and reorder.

I’ve got a pair of Version Two’s that I love wearing! Simple look. Very clean. Classic. Would highly recommend a Bambino to anyone!

Less is more

I wanted a formal "starter" automatic that was well made and durable. I got that. The size and comfort are perfect. It keeps time well (for my level of precision). It is simple to set. Normal wear keeps it wound and running well. The reserve is reasonable when the watch is taken off. Some said the automatic movement was loud. I only noticed it WHEN the watch was off wrist and moved it with "purpose". I have to remember to be more careful with it as its design is not like other "tool/diver" watches I wear.

Looks good in pictures, but you won't see it on my wrist.

I wanted an Orient Bambino but I fell victim to this impulse purchase due to the price. It was very reasonable compared to the other versions of this watch and that's why I ended up grabbing it for the Buy-It-Now price that was offered. It looked okay in the pictures, but when I received it and put it on, I realized that 1.) this was too dressy to wear every day and 2.) the gold roman numerals and hands were hard to see in daylight and not at al visible at night or dim light. The croco leather band looks nice, but it's pretty stiff. I have a hard time bending it to get it under the first retailing loop after putting it in the buckle. Beautiful watch with a perfect design... It is just so classy! Even among the luxury brands, I have not seen a dress watch as attractive as this. I am happy to have chosen this buddy and hopefully it will last for a long while.

The Best Little Watch

I work in an office of Watch Afficionados (Breitling, Rolex, IWC, Omega etc all make regular appearances), and this little Bambino has been turning all of their heads.I've long been a fan of Japanese watches and when I came across this particular watch I knew I had to have one. The finish is fantastic, it wears small for its size (good in a dress watch) and the domed crystal makes those gorgeous rose gold Roman numerals pop and shimmer.For the price, there is really nothing to complain about and considering the inquisitive looks I've had from people wearing watches many many times the price of this, you get more than you pay for!

Understated elegance

Having initially learnt of this being out of stock, I emailed the Marc who thankfully assured me it was not discontinued. Immediately uponrestock, I ordered this classic, elegant, yet affordable watch. Given that it shipped all the way from USA (with its final destination being Australia) , the shipping was adequately timed, arriving after 12 days. An initial impression of the watch is that it is much better looking in person than the photos do it justice. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a versatile and timeless (figuratively) timepiece. I would also highly recommend Island Watch. I am already looking forward with the next purchase with them!
