The >430 page yield of an HP63XL cartridge posted by Hewlett-Packard is so FAR FROM ACCURATE as to be ludicrous. Or fraudulent. A bare 250 pages is the accurate page yield, a maximum of 300 pages if printing in "draft" mode. Given the mediocre output the OUTRAGEOUS COST of these cartridges is reprehensible. The Dept of Commerce should intervene.

Not much to say regarding the ink itself. Works for my printer. Was expensive but ink is expensive everywhere. A kind gentleman working at my local Staples helped me find the exact type I needed. Additionally, he recommended a really great printer that costs more up front but pays off, as it doesn’t use traditional ink cartridges. Had a pleasant conversation with the guy. All in all, ink is ink!

I ordered a combo pack of HP ink. I received 2 packages, which is ok. However, one expiration date is next month %26 the other 2 months after I received them. I went to Walmart %26 the expiration dates in the store are Dec 2024. Walmart will not exchange the ink cartridges. The clerk did not know if the expiration date is when the ink dries out or not.

HP is really the only only ink we use. We have tried other generic ones but they dint work, they cause all kinds of problems with the printer. Stick to HP!Just wish they took coupons, and/or gave rewards back for ink and toner. We really might start buying from somewhere else since we spend so much money and never get any discounts or rewards back anymore.
It’s so great when your printer works, isn’t it?I sure wish ink cartridges lasted long enough to make the cost worth it. As things stand right now, these ink cartridges are far too expensive and dry out too easily to be worth their cost. But, we have printers for a reason, so we’re forced to buy new ink cartridges when they dry up after only a few uses.If someone could make an ink cartridge that didn’t dry up after a few months, I’d be a customer for life. Maybe HP could consider it?
I bought this several weeks ago and apparently failed to make my usage needs clear to the person who recommended this printer. I have a 300 page project that requires addition printing and #63 cartridges only print 180 pages at a cost of more than $40 per pack. It also wastes paper and ink because every time you change cartridges, you have to realign. It's cheaper to get copies made at Office Depot than print your own. I am currently on my 3rd set of cartridges and have unhappily decided to buy a printer that actually meets my need and junk this one. If you only print a few pages a month, this if for you otherwise you're going to be spending a lot of money on ink. It has also disconnected from wifi a couple of times although I didn't have a problem reconnecting. ... MoreI bought this several weeks ago and apparently failed to make my usage needs clear to the person who recommended this printer. This is not the quality I expect from HP.
I am shocked at the number of page prints I got with this - especiallly the black XL. I checked the HP site and it says with my printer I should get 430 pages. There is NO way we got that much! Plus that's a lot anyway. Now it MAY be an issue with my printer/s usage of the ink but overall its bad. Something tells me this is part of HP's plan to get you to sign up for their Ink program. Time to look for another printer!!
This product might be made in several countries, but the Malaysian color ones have been having flaws in the last few months that make them unusable. The first cartridge failed after a few prints, and the second did not even have any ink it at all--when I checked the printer's ink supply app. These are the HP original cartridges and not refilled used, and apparently HP is not keeping a close eye on their manufacture. Cannot blame Staples, this is 100% a HP manufacture problem, which I really, really hope they look into and fix very, very soon.
Picture shows the cartridges come together in a single box (duo pack). They did not. The black came in an original hp box, the color just came in the wrap, no box, must have originally been part of a different multi package. Legit? So the black had an expiration date, nothing on the color cartridge. I did use them and they worked (5 pages, so far). Had I know they would be shipped like this I would have not purchased!!
Staples is a great place to shop. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Second, Staples gives customers credit for returning used ink cartridges, an important strategy in keeping trash out of the environment. Earth Day is everyday! These ink cartridges perform like they should.
