Everyone probably knows that Orijen Cat Food is great. We have two quite fussy cats, but they love it!Walkies is the best supplier we have found to supply it. Their pricing is well in line with all other suppliers, though the food isn't particularly cheap, but you get what you pay for. Also, we were able to put it on repeat order, so it arrives without us having to remember to order it, which we've done in the past. They send it with DPD so it is guaranteed to get to us as and when required.Don't assume that Walkies means for dogs! They do all pet food.

I weaned her off from another recommended brand because she would not eat the vitamin pellets that was mixed in the food. An associate from Petco advised me to give it a go and I am very happy I did. Its also great for mixing ( she does not like to drink water and the Vet wants us to keep her hydrated) with tuna water or plain water. We started getting the 12 pound bag on auto ship since she has been on this for 5 months and won't go back to her old food. Not to sound gross but her stool is cleaner and its not a horrible smell so the ingredients are true to what the bag says and its a brand my family and vet can trust. The ingredients list on this food is impressive! My 5 mo old kitten has the softest fur and is growing up slender and beautiful. I free feed this to my foster cats too, and not only do they not over-eat, the ones who used to be a bit chubby lost weight! Their fur feels so much sleeker and softer. It makes me happy to see them grow up healthy :)Obviously your experience will vary and each cat is different. Transition your food over two weeks so your cats get used to the new diet. I highly recommend!!

My moggie loves the food and it suits her gut. My three Siamese have not fared so well on the food. Seems to upset their guts and lead to soft stools. I am introducing the food to them gradually with their usual Royal Canin dry food. I'm sad that the Orijen food isn't suiting them really well because I know it's a much better food source for them. Hopefully my gradually introducing it will lead to gut acceptance. It makes sense to feed cats pure protein organic food. I don't like feeding them Royal Canin. I'd rather they could accept the Orijen because it's what their guts are built for: pure protein from meat and fish. I also like the fact that Orijen food is organic, so no hormones or chemicals involved.
Orijen is a brand I know I can trust to keep my furbabies the healthiest they can be. They only use high quality ingredients and mimic a diet of our precious pets' ancestors. How cool is that! I know my kitten is getting a high quality protein, extremely important to maintain peak health. Not to mention, they love it! I do find this brand can be expensive but when it comes to meeting our pets nutritional requirements I am willing to dish out more money for a superior product. I would highly recommend this product and brand to anyone looking for a top quality food for dogs or cats. :)
To Preface, I have three different cats (a Maine Coon (M), a Ragdoll (M) and my good old Heinz 57(F)) with two being seniors.I decided to try out this brand (Origen Kitten) after my female cat got dental surgery as the kibble is a small flat 'puck' and would be an easy size for her to eat. She LOVED it! It was like kitty crack! It was way more popular even then treats!As I do not believe in buying different brands for my cats unless absolutely necessary, I bought a big 12lb bag of Orijen Orignal Cat so my female could continue to eat with ease. My cat has gradually but steadily lost a lot of his excess weight, he is looking good with a glossy coat and back to being my lively boy. A few months ago we introduced this food to our six year old cat and within weeks his fur was so soft and plush, his energy level went up too. He just seems like he's healthier overall. We had always been told that Science Diet was one of the best foods to give your cats, I now realize how wrong that was. He never looked this good before. I never thought a simple diet change could literally give us a new cat!

I did a lot of research on Orijen and initially purchased the smallest bag possible, just in case my cat turned his nose up ( as they usually do) No worries, he took to it straight away, seems to regulate his own intake (he was always asking for his bowl to be topped up) , certainly doesn't seem to want to drink as much and there are much smaller, neater 'offerings' in his litter tray. His coat was always pretty soft but now is sleek and shiny. So i have two kitties. One is 3.5 months old and the other is 15 months old. This food was a total hit with both of them. My older cat was on a different high end brand for wieght loss and chose to eat the others bowl of food over touching her own, so i just ended up feeding both them the same food. i found that they both ate less in a sitting with this food , which shows to me that it fills them up better than what they were on. I even found that my overwieght cat did lose some weight while on this food. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell of it personally but didn't bother the cats at all. I have had some issue finding it in my current pet store which sucks but i will go whereever i can to find it so thats not a big deal.
