ORIJEN Regional Red Grain Free High Protein Premium Dry Cat Food – Nutrient Dense Red Meat Blend 4-lb

I normally mix Orijen regional red and Hills science (Oral care) due to her breed/condition. First thing I noticed was the difference in her stool quality. Even though, I mix them together she still likes to be picky and eat around Orijen and go for Hills first. But when she does eat Orijen (regional red) her stools are a lot bigger and most (normal cat stool) but when she JUST have Hills science her stools become smaller (pebble like stool) and harder (symptom of constipation). Yes it is expensive, BUT after seeing the difference I would say "take my money". If you love your cat and if you really care 100% recommend this product.

Django almost always has dandruff. He's been on so many top quality foods, but they almost always contain ingredients he is sensitive to like dyes, corn, wheat, soy, chicken, tapioca, and peas. Some of these give him severe skin reactions like hives or sores and some he just gets dry, flaky dandruff. And a lot of it. I mixed this in with his usual Taste of the Wild and he LOVED it (he's also picky smh). Within two weeks his dandruff is GONE. he hasn't ever been dandruff-free since he was on milk as a kitten!! I wish I could afford this food to feed it to him all of the time, but sadly it's too expensive. I wish there was a program to help pets who really need certain expensive foods. My other cat, Itty Bitty isn't allergic to anything and will eat ANYTHING. Lol.

This kibble is absolutely fantastic. I can be a lot fussier about my cats food than they are, and Orijen Biological Regional Red hits all the right marks for both myself, and my feline companions. The whole prey ingredients and excellent list of proteins make sure it is packed full of the nutritional needs of my cats. There are no fillers, no grains and the food is naturally preserved. A definite constant inclusion in my cats diet.

My cat Lilinoe is VERY picky. She is a good hunter and loves mice and voles but I have struggled to find a human made cat food she will eat. I love that she keeps the rodents out of my house and garden but twice she has eaten poisoned mice from the neighbors so I have been desperate to find food I can give her and regulate. She’ll only eat beef or other red meat cat foods which are difficult to find. Just found Orijen’s Regional Red and she LOVES it! Thank you!
I tried this stuff out for 3 weeks. My cat usually has fresh pet brand food (the ones without carrageenan, avoid that for both yourself and your pet) but decided to try this as I can buy it in bulk and the food choices are solid for optimal cat health. Unfortunately this made my cats stool extremely smelly and messy. At first I thought it might be a transitional thing and I started off slow mixing it with his old food before making it his main dish but his stool still continued to get all over his tail and back leg accompanied by a very strong smell that filled the room. Finally, he has started developing a weird blister like sore on his mouth. Based on my research he seems to be having a possible allergic reaction and I can only assume it’s the food. This product is the only one that I have found that has real food. The rest have "meal" instead of actual meat. Her fur is beautiful. She even gets compliments. She used to be feral so she is very sensitive to picking up on smells and tastes. She will not eat the Six Fish which does have some meal in it. Not sure if this is due to the meal or she doesn't like the flavor. She loves Orijen Red and really really likes the Orijen Cat and Kitten. Both have 90% premium animal ingredients which is why I chose them. Her favorite flavors lean toward red meat (beef). She is also a fan of Tuna and Tilapia and some things salmon but not all; she is a little picky with fish just to be fair with the analysis of the products. Overall this is the product of choice because they go the extra mile to make sure your pet is getting actual food and not just fillers (meal) and carbs. Cats do not have a high level of the carbohydrate enzymes for digestion so they need high protien with some fiber. LOVE THIS BRAND compared to others.
Based entirely on my cat's enthusiasm, this cat food is not bad, but also not great. When I first introduced her to it, there was no purring and happily burying her face in the bowl, no happily rubbing her face on her cat dish. It was more like a sniff, a meow and then she walked away. She completely ignored the cat food until we left the house, then she gobbled the bowl down because clearly we were never coming back and she was going to starve. So I guess it's edible in the face of certain starvation, but nothing she would get excited over. From a human perspective, I thought the cat food would be great! The bag boasts some impressive stats, including locally sourced ingredients and a high percentage of protein. Despite the increased protein over bargain-brand cat ... The bag boasts some impressive stats, including locally sourced ingredients and a high percentage of protein. Despite the increased protein over bargain-brand cat foods, this particular formula didn't smell any worse than any other type of cat food and I haven't noticed any ill gastro-intestinal effects on my kitty, though we have been mixing it with her normal kibble so that we don't have to leave the house to get her to eat it. Overall, I'm surprised. I expected my cat to be way more excited about this food than she was.
We found out our car was allergic to chicken. After sampling various other foods without good results. 1 he kept throwing up and all the others he just wouldn’t eat. Finally it dawned on me that he loves your treats and has never had a problem with them, so when I saw you made food it seemed like a no brainer. We picked regional red and from the beginning he absolutely loved your food! Unfortunately a few days into starting your food he started having diarrhea. I tried regulating it but the problem continued. I stopped the food and within a few days the diarrhea was gone. Since then we have tried other pet foods with lentils and/or beans with the same result. So I am here to ask for a bean and legume free food. Our cat is very finicky and the fact that he loves ... Purchased due to the 90% meat ad fish. My cat loves red meat. Her fur is much healthier eating this food than previous brands. I would love if the animals used for the product were free range etc. I would deduct a star for this but overall the product is still excellent especially compared to others. It's a bit pricey but the quality seems good based on the health of her fur and she likes it. She does not like the seafood flavored dry food. She is definitely a fan of the red meat. So please do not get rid of the regional red!! I see it disappearing in some stores.
I normally mix Orijen with Hills science (oral care) due to her breed/condition. My cat likes to be picky and eat Hills science first but I can see the clear difference when she eats more of orijen(regional red) because of her stool quality. After having Orjien (regional red) her stools are a lot bigger and moist (healthy normal stools) but when she's being picky and only have Hills, her stools are smaller(pebble like stool) and a lot harder (symptom of constipation). It is pricey but it is worth it.
