Great pack. Need the extra liters (100liters) for larger tent I'm sharing with sons on multi day trip. Upgrade from Kelty 110 liter pack that was aging. Carried 50-55lbs. Comfortable even with the additional weight.

Freaking love this pack, huge so the biggest issue is self control packing, top lid day pack feature is amazing, opens like a suitcase for easy access when backpacking, fits great and plenty of support for hiking with heavy loads, mesh pockets let you just stuff things on the go. Only thing is that it isnt lockable but can live with that given all the other sick features!

So this will take time to get to you if you are in the US.What does that mean? Well designed. Love the extra day pack feature. And the lower zipper to pull stuff out. This is my 2nd Osprey. My first one was fantastic, lasted for years with really heavy use.
I bought this pack for a hike to the Kalalau valley in Kauai Hawaii & couldn’t have been more pleased with it. I have a smaller pack that’s probably six years old by Osprey and its been beyond durable so I thought I’d give a bigger pack a try. Absolutely fantastic construction & I really like the day pack feature although I didn’t use it this trip. Also, Moose Jaw was ON IT shipping my order. Ordered Wednesday afternoon & delivered Friday evening. I’m impressed.
I bought this earlier this year for backpacking. it's super comfy even with 70lbs of gear, I feel like I can walk all day. the stretch water bottle pockets will still fit a water bottle/tent poles even if you've stuffed the main sack.My only complaint is the daylid, which has two failings.When using it as a lid, the nylon+plastic straps attaching it to the lid don't hold their place at all when opening the lid. After much frustration I cleared out the lid save for a single Anker battery pack. When opening the lid to access the main pack, gravity would immediately tug on the straps and max out their length. Basically, you have to readjust the lid straps every time you open or close the bag from the top pocket.When using the daylid as a day pack, for some reason ... This nub goes into a Paracord like loop at the bottom of the bag, and is secured by gravity. This loop is not particularly tight fitting to the plastic nub, and I've had it fall out on me a few times.Looking back on it I might have gone with the Gregory Baltoro if I had to chose again. Still, it's a great pack, but for $400 you'd think the lid would be better designed.
This pack was an upgrade for me from my 75L. I love how much more space I have, and how it handles a heavier load for long, extended hikes! This pack displaces the load evenly, and comfortably; and allows air to your lower back to BREATHE! I’m sold on it, and all its features! I highly recommend it to anyone carrying more gear on extended trails!
Bought this backpack on a sale, but the full price alone is worth it. This pack fits to your body so you don't have to use any of your lesser used muscles to balance it. It fits on the fly & compartments are well designed for quick easy storage. This is the Cadillac & Ferrari of backpacks!!!
This bag is really big and with the amount of stuff I was able to put stuff in day one with it weighing about 40 pounds. With it weighing 40 pounds and on my back you need to adjust the straps to contour the frame of the bag to your back. After walking around a bit it did not feel so bad compared to other bags and keep in mind Ive been in the gym before lifting heavy so that plays a part.
I bought this pack for a week long backpacking trip and I couldn’t be happier. The detaching day pack was a great feature for small day trips with just the essentials. I used all 100 liters but even if you didn’t it’s worth the extra size in case you have a bigger trip planned in the future. I’d bet this is the best 100 liter back pack on the market right now.
