Is there anyone who hasn't tried several bags that claim to convert from a backpack to a tote, only to be disappointed with the lack of product testing? I'm hoping this Osprey will beat the odds. The bottom backpack straps DO tuck in the bottom (look for small openings that allow you to store in the back lowermost section), or tuck away the tote handles. Check Osprey's site for more detailed reviews, as well as a less-male centric video than this site has. This bag isn't just for men going to golf.

I bought this for an Asia vacation to use as my daypack. I love wearing dresses, so the tote bag version was nice because I look less like the “backpacker” cliché. The backpack version was great for the airport and hiking or long walks. It’s a decent enough size to fit beachwear, snacks and electronics. It’s not a huge backpack though, and although the shoulder straps are comfy this won’t make it through a 2-day hike, the bag is not ergonomic enough. I recommend it for urban travel. Love the water bottle holders on each side, they are deep and elastic.

My 15-inch VivoBook fits comfortably inside and there is still plenty of room in the main compartment for some books, a wallet, and a couple smaller zip bags. I wanted a bag that would be comfortable to bike to work but not completely backpack-looking to use in the office. This bag is great! Fits a laptop, lunch and water bottle comfortably and seems to be Osprey's usual good quality. I bought the purple and it's significantly brighter purple than it appears in the picture.
I like this bag a lot, mainly because of the look of it and especially the colour. I own the yellow one.There are only really 2 pockets so not a lot of organisation. It is top load so things at the bottom of the bag are easily lost and difficult to get to, especially as the lining is a dark colour. The 20 litre capacity is fairly small and the bag is quite narrow although this is sometimes a good thing as it limits how much stuff I can take with me.I would love it so much if it had an external water bottle pocket, or an option to send it to osprey and pay to have one put on, for me that would make it the best bag ever!!
Haven't had a chance to use the bag but seems to be the perfect carryon personal item. Can use it as a tote/purse or a backpack. It has a sleeve to fit over the luggage handle for easy travel to/from airport/trains. Great size. Decent backpack straps. Product is accurately described.
I bought this bag because I wanted something light weight and roomy. Osprey always fits those criteria. I love that you can easily convert it from a tote to a backpac and vice versa. Wearing it as a backpack is incredibly comfortable - which surprised me. I also how deep and wide the bag is. The pockets/compartments do the trick. It's so multi-purpose. I bring it for all my weekend errands.
Love that this can be used as a backpack and as a tote bag. Bought online from the Osprey website. Used it yesterday, as the backpack, to walk along a canal which took us into town where I easily changed it into the tote bag. I've had a couple of queries (one before purchase and one after) and both were answered promptly and satisfactorily by the customer services people. Highly recommended for both product and service.
I wanted a simple bag for my personal item carry-on. I travel weekly for work so it needed to be easy and sleek looking too. I love it because it’s got multiple pockets (inside and out). Great access to outside pockets while at the airport or in a seat, but inside it has dividers for your laptop. It can be held as a tote or a backpack. And it had a slider handle for your luggage handle which is awesome. I wish it were 5L more like my Black Hole Patagonia travel backpack (also a great bag which my boyfriend uses). It’s not waterproof.
