I have the Renn 50 backpack and I love it so when my old day pack died I found the Mira 22 on sale and didn't hesitated to buy it! I couldn't wait to try it out so the next day I took it for a 6 mile hike and really like it. The only thing I don't like is the magnet sternum strap release which is also the magnet for the H2o hose. I wish the hose magnet was adjustable. I wish the Sternum strap had a fastex release buckle. I have arthritis (67 yr old hiker) in my hands and the magnet is hard for me to release. Neither are biggies so I'll deal with it. If you need an awesome, reliable pack the Mira 22 is for you ladies!

First time I ever bought a technical pack specifically for hiking and apparently, I picked a good one. I've always used Camelbaks, and while I've integrated some of their features into my Mira, namely the hydrolock (as I can disconnect the mouthpiece and plug my filter in without having to open the reservoir compartment, plus the cover stays on better), and the magnetic tube trap (I prefer my mouthpiece stowed on the shoulder strap, and Osprey's doesn't stay put in that position). I did buy one of Osprey's 3l bladders and an insulation kit for it, and that thing is amazing at keeping my water cool, none of that initial hot shot of water as I pull a drink. The straps on the shoulder straps are nice for my compass pouch, and while I thought them being angled was going to be a nuisance, it actually helped make a cross-body reach for it feel more ergonomic. I haven't had it out in rain yet, so I can't speak yet to its rain cover's water resitance and utility, though I bag everything anyway. I don't use trekking poles and don't plan to ever use the stow loop on the shoulder strap, but I also don't see any way to remove it without cutting it off, so I guess it's staying on so I don't void the warranty. The little pockets on the hip belt are SO useful, I see now why people love them. Others say it's heavy but I guess I'm just used to heavy packs, which I guess is par for buying cheap ones so far. I carried this on a couple of long dayhikes, one 7 hours and the other 13 hours. I can only think of two downfalls. First, the zippers sometimes snag, especially the hip pockets, I find myself having adopted a two-hand cross-body technique just to close them. Second, I've just always been nervous about mesh pockets, they always feel like I'll break them.

There are a lot of 20 liter hydration backpacks on the market - and then there is the Oprey Mira! This is refreshingly more practical and comfortable packpack than any others I have tried.Putting on the backpack and feeling its hip belt fit snuggly was the first sign of a backpack comfort I hadn't encountered in a long time. I do wish I could pull the upper straps a little close to my shoulders - I got them as close as I could.. but it was a minor issue. I liked the mesh net keeping the backpack off my back (and shoulders ...) - reduced sweatingThe storage is phenomenal - awesome bladder in its own pouch in the back - but with enough space to wrap a thin item of clothing (I like to try and keep my water cold so anything I can do to insulate...).The middle ... After lots of research I have chosen this as my new multi-purpose backpack. I'm going to Paris for a week's city trip. And later spending 6 weeks walking the Camino. I intend to use the Mira32 as my carry on bag on the planes and for all my luggage. Ordering the bag was brilliant. It arrived the next day. It fits perfectly and feels really comfortable. I am smallish. 163cm tall, 52 kilos. I've never found a rucksack small enough to fit my back-length before. The Mira32 does. But only just. I have it on the smallest back-length setting. If there had been an even smaller adjustment I would have given that a go. The straps all make the bag nice and snug ... again the waist strap is at its smallest when I pull it to fit. The straps all make the bag nice and snug ... again the waist strap is at its smallest when I pull it to fit. The included hydration system and waterproof covers are one of the other reasons I finally opted for this bag. I think that the exit hole for the hydration bag is in the wrong place. The bag and drinking tube seem squashed and twisted by the time it is all put together. Brilliant that the backpack is cabin size for planes. And loads of useful pockets to store an assortment of things with easy accessibility. All in all very happy.
I've been on the search for the perfect hydration bag with the right amount of storage. I started with the Sylva 12. Liked the suspension and back panel but once I saw the bag I realized it was way too small for everything I needed to pack. Moved onto the Skimmer 20, and again, just a pinch too small. Going on hikes between 10-20 miles I needed to find that sweet spot for a bag with just the right amount of room to bring food, some supplies, and a light jacket without being overly bulky and heavy for the hikes. The Mira 22 is perfect!! I do wish the side pockets were bigger for my phone but I can live without having to put it there! Super comfortable to carry, and I really like the subtle purple tone the bag has. So glad I go this one!!! Highly recommend it!
I had done a lot of investigating hiking packs. I decided on the Osprey Mira 32 which has not disappointed. I'm 5.4mtr high and its a great size, for me. Plenty of pockets and room. Awesome 2.5 Ltr drink bladder come with it which was a selling point for me. This pack has the best feature of the back support and air flow. No sweaty back like my old pack. Very happy.
If you're thinking about getting this backpack, just buy it. I bought this backpack because I was going to fly to Washington and hike all the national parks. This backpack was absolutely perfect. I was able to carry everything I needed. I couldn't believe how light it felt and I had zero back pain. My back wasn't sweaty thanks to the mesh backpanel. I love that the reservoir has its own compartment. It even kept my food cold that was in the main compartment, which I found was a huge plus. I love that the bite valve had a magnet closure to go across my chest for easy access to water and not have to deal with the tube flopping around while I was hiking. Lastly, it was great to attach my trekking poles for the times I didn't need to use them on the trail. This backpack ... MoreIf you're thinking about getting this backpack, just buy it. This model of Mira 34 is much worse than the previous model! The design is awkward. It is very wide and huge at the top but narrow at the bottom. The camelback compartment is huge.I tried to find the old model but all of them are sold out. I bought the new in Celestial Charcoal as only this color was available at that time and I did not like the color. It is definitely not women's color unless somebody like black. I returned the backpack and was searching for the backpack that I would like. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any. Then I saw that Mira 34 is available in different color so I convinced myself that I could live with this model and ordered in Bahia Blue color. Are you going to redesign or at least change the color or add additional color (bright like you had previously) for the backpacks? How often do you redesign and change colors of your backpacks?
Well constructed backpack with a comfortable fit. Especially like how all the compartments are divided and the room each one affords. Strong zippers and really good pulls on the zippers make access to all compartments a breeze. Well designed water bladder and drinking tube. Built-in rain cover is an added bonus. Compartment had enough room to store my rain poncho which made access super fast and easy when needed. Outside straps allowed the pack to be cinched tight so it could fit as a carry on in airplanes.
lacks places to connect on straps. Just two flimsy loops that are easily stretched out. Needs a daisy chain or loops like the Skimmer30 had. Also poles on one side under your arm and breast is uncomfortable. Need one pole on each side for balance and comfort. And, the loops are too small to fit if you have snow baskets or anything else. The side pockets are hard to start to zipper with one hand because of their shape and location...just misses the mark on so many features. Bring back the Skimmer with the air flow frame and you have a much better design. add daisy chain. Sorry I bought this one but was the closest choice to what I needed.
