Osprey Talon is favourite backpack /daypack in our home. I have Talon 11 and Talon 22 that I use for day hikes. While my wife and daughter uses Tempest 20 (female version off Talon). My 7 years old son wanted to have his own backpack and I am glad that Osprey has brought out Talon JR this year. I showed couple of options online to my kid and he picked Talon JR right away. It was most expensive of all option but it is definitely worth it. It fits him perfectly and he did two hikes with it and he finds it very comfortable. It has same look, same features and comfort as adult version but in a much smaller frame. We are happy that We no longer need to carry his stuff like snacks, water and binocular.Overall, this is awesome daypack for kids. Highly Recommended!

Received the bag and found a small hole at the bottom of the bag. The size is perfect for kids hiking. I have to return and reorder but lost all my expiable credits. Not happy about the purchase.

My son loves it! It fits him like a glove (he's almost 4 feet tall). It's just wide enough to be used as a school bag. An inch wider, especially at the top of the bag would have made putting a binder in there a bit less tight. We'll buy another one for my other kid regardless, because it's perfect besides that and it will be able to withstand years of school and out of school abuse I'm sure.
Great quality pack for kids. It is a mini version of my Osprey Talon. Will be a great transition for my nephew as he transitions to carrying his own gear.
Our 6 year old is happy to match with mom and dad. He is small and skinny but it fits great with room to grow.
Fits well. Seems like good quality, w some attempt at a suspension system. My daughter likes it quite a bit. First “ real” backpack. Will see how it holds up over time.
Great pack for my 6yr old son. Comfy, very light with practical features. Good size for 6+ kids. Our 3rd Osprey pack and all of them are very cool.
Got this for my little girl..she wanted red., Which wasn't available in the girls version. But they're almost exactly the same, so it didn't matter. She's tall for her age (almost 3) and this pack fits her with tons of room to grow. And she love love love love loves having her own water. It will be a long time before we can pack this full for her. But for now, she's pretty happy with a stuffed animal and a snack. I have multiple Osprey packs, and their build quality is great. My son's has survived a couple of bike crashes and other than a couple of scuffs, it is still perfect. I expect this to last for many years.
Perfect backpack for day hiking. Lightweight, well made, adjustable, and is ideal for a younger new hiker! Osprey makes quality backpacks and this one is a good one.
