OtterBox Defender Case for iPad 10.2" 7th Gen - Black

I’ve use OtterBox defender case for Apple phones in a past before and this is the first time that I’m using it for an Apple iPad. so far it’s done a great job defending my iPad and keeping it safe and I really appreciate the fact that it came with its own protective screen as well too it doesn’t interrupt my touchpad activities and it takes away my worries of scratches occurring. Choosing this particular type of case was a great choice and OtterBox products have never let me down for you the years that I’ve used them. The black color is very appealing. It even has a small storage area for the Apple Pencil so that’s a plus right there the port to be able to use it to either stand or connected for my charging purposes is more than accessible and it isn’t difficult. ... MoreI’ve use OtterBox defender case for Apple phones in a past before and this is the first time that I’m using it for an Apple iPad. so far it’s done a great job defending my iPad and keeping it safe and I really appreciate the fact that it came with its own protective screen as well too it doesn’t interrupt my touchpad activities and it takes away my worries of scratches occurring. It really feels like a thick layer of armor that’s been placed onto the actual iPad. I gave this product five stars and I would recommend it to anyone I would now and a few people have listen to my device and have a proof of this purchase for themselves.

Best defense against damage for my ipad

We have always used Otterboxes for our IPads, going back to my IPad 2. I stupidly had set it “momentarily” on the roof of my car after an appointment. Proceeded to drive down a gravel road for 3-4 blocks, turn up a short hill for another block. I then proceeded to jump 9n a four lane expressway, had built up speed to approximately 60 mph when 8 heard an external sound, looked in the rear view mirror & noticed this black object flying off behind my vehicle and landing on the concrete highway. I then shockingly noticed my iPad was not on my front passenger seat. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder, ran back and found the cover with a corner piece chipped off, but no iPad! Further up the expressway toward the car, on the shoulder of the left lane, there was the bottom of the case. With dread 8 picked up the case, turned it over expecting to see a shattered screen. Much to my amazement the screen was intact! I then turned on the iPad and it worked perfectly, as if nothing had ever happed. The face edge around the cover of the screen sustained some scrape marks, but the screen protector and the rest of the case was unblemished! My phones and my iPads live in Otterboxes to this day to protect them from my stupidity. An amazingly well built product!

Best protection for iPad

I purchased the case for a 8 & 5 yr old after getting them their 1st iPad. It gives me peace of mind to know their device is protected in the way kids handle devices. I taught them how easy it is to prop it up with its own case built in and the built in screen protector that comes with the case is an added bonus. I am a critical critic and OtterBox always comes out on top. I only purchase OtterBox for protecting my mobile devices. The cost is completely justified by the product! From my 1st purchase many years back they proved themselves!! You won't be disappointed for the main purpose the defender protection product is meant to serve. Protecting your device!!!

Happy Camper

Just what I needed for my new iPad. I previously had a Lifeproof case on an older iPad that served me well. I was looking for something similar that would protect my iPad from falls and also protect my screen from my kitty cat’s claws. Also, I carry my iPad everywhere and am not the most careful person. This case feels and looks rugged and encloses my entire iPad. The touch screen still works and images are clear. The bonus stand is awesome for me to have as a setup for images I’m painting. I’m very pleased with this purchase and if it holds up like previous Otterbox items I’ve had, I’ll continue to be one happy camper.

It’s an absolute must have

It’s awesome, I wanted the same protection my phone had for my iPad. That’s why I got it and it works just as good my. My only minor, setback is the headphone port is a little restrictive and doesn’t take all 1/8 inch inputs but this can be remedied with a low profile adapter. Still 10/10 would buy again, Thanks Otter Box

Kid Friendly and Fits 9th Gen

I was nerves about getting because we got the new 9th generation and there was a review that said it would not fit. Went ahead and bought and it fits great. If you have kids that are not easy on tablet, this has the plastic shield that no other cases have. Which has been a life saver for our tablets. The best kid user case. Thank you, otterbox.com for being patient with all my questions and apprehensiveness. You won't be able to find at this same product at stores, I looked everywhere.

My OtterBoxes. Tough protection

I love OtterBoxes. Have had one on every phone since my flip. I work construction and mountian bike .I’m pretty rough with my phone it always getting wet, banged, bumped, and dropped They’ve always treated my phone well. I wish I could find one in a bright color for those times when it gets misplaced. My tablet also has an OtterBox and I feel more secure knowing that it’s protected too. I wish it had a neck strap so I wouldn’t have to keep in my hands full time.

Outstanding protection and very high quality.

I have been using Otterbox Defender Series cases throughout the many years that I have owned many Apple iPhones and iPads and each one has always provided outstanding protection. I have dropped each countless times and the cases always have done an outstanding job of protecting the phones and tablets without damage to either. And Otterbox's warranty service has been terrific in the replacement of anything that ever needs replacing should the need arise. Although seemingly expensive, you get what you pay for and the quality of an Otterbox product never disappointed. Well worth the money for the level of protection provided.

Solid Case

I ordered the Otterbox for my iPad because I felt the folder style cases didn’t offer a lot of protection and I found it was hard to keep a good grip on it when the folder was open.First impression of the Otterbox when I took it out of the box was that it looked like it was going to be a lot of work, and it was. Thankfully, the instructions are clear to understand and once you get the case apart it goes back together fairly easily. The case itself is very durable and I believe it will offer solid protection.Cons to the case:It adds a noticeable weight to the iPadThe entire case put together with the stand cover attachment makes the iPad “unit” about an inch thick and is a bit challenging to remove. Hoping it eases with use.Previous comments have stated the ... MoreI ordered the Otterbox for my iPad because I felt the folder style cases didn’t offer a lot of protection and I found it was hard to keep a good grip on it when the folder was open.First impression of the Otterbox when I took it out of the box was that it looked like it was going to be a lot of work, and it was. otter box always good

I have bought many cases for our ipads over the years and the otter box is one of the slimmer designs and has a good front clear cover that protects against spills. The weight is very much lighter than most cheaper cases out there. My Family is hard on devices so a case is a must. I would buy this model again
