I bought this a couple months ago to have for beach days with my kids this summer (5 years and 6 months) and I have already gotten so much bang for the buck! We are outside all day when the weather is nice which is easy enough with my oldest, but baby needs consistent shade without restricting air flow. Enter this sun shelter! It takes no time to set up or take down, instructions are printed on a large tag sewn into the bag which is awesome, comes with the stakes and has the sewn on sand bags for the beach. Screen panels on the sides are huge so you get really nice air flow, good and spacious inside and front panel (that can zip closed BTW) creates a nice extension of your “floor” in front of the tent. We’ve used this all day on weekends for the little one and it’s ... MoreI bought this a couple months ago to have for beach days with my kids this summer (5 years and 6 months) and I have already gotten so much bang for the buck! We’ve used this all day on weekends for the little one and it’s just been awesome, she has plenty of room to move around (crawling so pack and play is too small) and still be shaded while being able to be outside. All in all it’s a tremendous value for the price (same style from LL Bean is twice as much), and is super easy to use. Highly recommend!

We wanted something to use on our recent beach vacation so we wouldn’t need to rent the beachfront hotel umbrella/chairs. I had read that the hotel vendor charges in the neighborhood of $40/day. Yes, there’s a convenience to have someone else set up and take down the beach furniture…and on a windy day, not be responsible for it, but you have to stay in the indicated zone. I wanted something that would be big enough for two good size beach chairs. I wanted windows and openings on all sides. I wanted protection from light rain. I wanted easy set up and take down. I wanted light weight/as compact as possible. It was nice to have some privacy options, just in case. I didn’t want to worry about it blowing away while we did our beach hikes. Plus, we could move up and down the beach or go to other beaches, as needed/desired.This beach tent did all that. We did practice setting it up/taking it down in the back yard after watching multiple YouTube videos. The set up and take down was really easy after one or two practices at home. One person can do it, but it’s easier and faster with two especially if the wind is gusty. Our larger beach chairs fit fine side by side and our heads had some room. It’s not a camping tent but has some similar elements. The material is similar to a windbreaker, maybe slightly heavier. Ultimately the tent survived our beach vacation. Our only complaint is that the interior can get quite hot with the sun beating on it and the ventilation from the windows wasn’t good enough to catch the breezes. (It was 95F on most days on the beach.). Our dilemma was that we preferred to aim the tent so the main opening was facing the ocean/waves (east), directly or angled …after all that’s why we were there. Unfortunately the breeze came up the beach from the south. If we sat just outside the tent, the temp dropped. Maybe adjusting the main opening to the direction of the wind would help. It’s a difficult balance of view, sun protection, breeze, and stability (can’t blow away). So, the umbrellas and open canopies excel on unrestricted beach breezes. Ultimately, it’s a choice.Otherwise no complaints.FYI- It’s helpful to know for taking down… the front legs need to be pulled slightly apart at the lowest joint in order to bend them back.FYI- the hotel umbrella vendor had a special tool to drill holes in order to get the umbrella pole deep into the sand. I’m sure that technique helped keep the umbrellas from blowing away.

I used this tent for the first time today and I was blown away by how easy it was to set up! It took literally 5 minutes and it was just me! Tale down time took maybe 5-8 minutes including pouring the sand out of the pockets on the outer bottom. Its very sturdy and didn’t even move an inch while the wind blew.In my ratings, I gave it 5 stars because I feel that most people would use this with the opening facing the sun so there is the front door that zips up as well as the windows can be closed. It is very lightweight!!!! I carried this along with two other bags and a lunchbox (large heavy cooler you can see inside the photo) and the trip carrying was easy! As for assemble, Ive already Said how easy it was to put up and take down. **keep the string that is tied to ... MoreI used this tent for the first time today and I was blown away by how easy it was to set up! Worked so easy for me!The ONLY thing that Is a con is the fact there is no hook or rod to hang my portable fan! Which in the photos theres something there but nothing with mine.Overall great tent, highly recommend!!

I hate the beach. Sitting there, stewing in your own sweat, sand in places. Outside temp is 89deg; heat index 105deg.But the better half loves it. It’s her recharge. So, I had to find something that would make things bearable.I must admit, this pop-up tent is awesome. We took about 10 minutes in our hotel room doing a test run for setting it up the next day. Easy. Instructions are sewn in at the top of the stuff sack. Some complain that the instructions are not clear, and they are not. Because the set up is so easy and intuitive, that any more instructions would just complicate things.Seems well made and with sand in the bags, it held up very well. Good sun coverage and enough room for 2 adults, 2 medium sized beach chairs, towels, 1 medium backpack, and multiple sundry items and 2 drink thermos. A large size cooler probably would cramp things.Tips:1. Direction of opening is very important. At first, we had the opening facing the waves. It was a sauna and unbearable. Made things worse! Point the opening slightly into the wind to get the breeze. It was easy to adjust even with our gear inside. After that, it made for a very plesent day.2. Rain- have a backup plan. It began to rain pretty hard, we waited it out. Afterwords, we called it a day.So, just like a regular camping tent, you’re going to have to air this thing out to dry. Coupled that with wet sand, small hotel room, it’s not something you can do while on travel. Be preserved for a proper dry/air out.If rain is in the forecast, forgo the tent and set up some cheap umbrellas for a quicker getaway and easier drying. Plus, next time, take the tent and cheap umbrellas and make a family compound!
Buy this now!! We live in SoFL, I used to have a beach tent called the lightning cabana and it lived up to its name… but this one beats it. Insanely easy. Buy it— you’ll love it. It’s light, it’s easy to carry, it legit pops up in three seconds with a little shake, and if you have any camping/tent experience at all, packing back up and getting back into case is a 30 second or less breeze. If you aren’t at all camping savvy, unfold it and refold it one time at home with someone to hold the baby, and you will be a pro. Idk how anyone improved on the lightning cabana, but this company did, and it is amazing!! And to quote Raiders if the Lost Ark—“and I even like the color!”
I like trying different beaches when visiting Florida and have been wanting one of these instant shelters for some time so this summer in Florida was the perfect time to finally test one out. t's far lighter than one would expect considering the size so it was easy to carry down to the beach. It's a little longer packed than I would like but willing to live with that considering the space once deployed.Once you slide it out of the carry bag, it took about a minute to unfold and have ready. The poles need to be folded out and clicked into place. There was barely a breeze so I didn't even bother filling the sand bags, or even staking it. Our stuff on the floor was sufficient to keep in in place. It really is spacious ... easily two adults and two smaller children. Our stuff on the floor was sufficient to keep in in place. It really is spacious ... easily two adults and two smaller children. Two adults would be very comfortable. Three would be manageable but you'd want to know each other well as you'd have to sit fairly close.Things I liked / disliked:1. Large and spacious, comfortable inside height and width2. Window covers secure easily but would prefer if they had zippers3. Front flap can be raised to close tent if you need to change, but the zippers are only on the side - the top secures with a small piece of velcro. Would've preferred a full zipper.4. See pic ... this was a first use and there was a small tear in the one window screen. It was unpacked with that flaw already there. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse.Besides the tear in the one window screen this is a great and comfortable shelter. Just the right size for a family beach outing.
I bought this a couple days ago for a beach day and first I looked up a video on YouTube on how to set it up and take it down. The instructions inside weren’t too helpful. It was fairly easy to set up, it held up against 60 mph winds. The stakes helped but not too much, they continued to come out of the ground. The break down was terribly hard even after watching the YouTube video. The legs on the tent don’t really making a clicking or snapping sound so it’s hard to tell when they’re in place. Space wise it did fit 2 adults comfortably. How ever it’s not made for more than 2 adults. The picture makes it look big because you can use the lip of it to have someone sit on but inside it’s comfortable for 2 adults, no more than that. It was a great product to have at the beach for sure but I wouldn’t recommend this particular one. there’s probably better products out there that are either priced better or the same price. It was overpriced for what it is. All in all it was a convenient purchase but not 100% worth it.
I bought this product after comparing it with many over about an hour of time. Some videos have a orange drawstring that you used to pull the top of the tent to open mine didn't. I could not figure how to put this thing down without finding a video. There are two orange labels that say push down. That is completely confusing because if you push down on those bars you'll actually disconnect the tent from the main base structure. Those labels were upside down and you should pull up towards the top of the tent to make this fold down. I ended up finding a video on online to make this work. I'll add a video with more detail on what I'm talking about.Update: I mentioned above there were no instructions. I was wrong. Attached to the bag are set up instructions which clearly show what I missed. In either case other folks can still run into the same scenario I did so beware. I will update my star rating to be more accurate.
Set up takes about 2 minutes. There is a trick to the take down you might want to set it up and take it down before you use it. Where it says press pull up. It will fold right up. If you have a problem with folding a leg pull it out just slightly and it will fold. We used it the first time in a pretty brisk wind on the beach at Tybee Island GA. You might want a partner to help you. Simple to pop up but in a good wind you might want someone to hold it in place while you find the front and place it where you want it. I found that if I filled the pocket in the back with sand it was enough to hold it and keep it from flying away until the stakes could be put in place. Good sun coverage and a really good choice in the wind. It was very stable and had good air flow. Set up take down is a piece of cake. The ease of use made a day at the beach allot more fun.
I purchased the OutdoorMaster Pop Up Beach Tent with my own funds, and it has been a game-changer for our beach trips. As a busy parent with twins and severe shoulder issues, I needed something easy to carry and set up, and this tent is perfect. It’s incredibly lightweight and portable, making it effortless to transport and assemble.Living in Oahu, we frequently hit up the beach, and I’ve used this tent three times so far. Each time, it has provided ample space for my family with excellent sun protection and ventilation.
