I really liked the luggage I had but the wheels were cheap and solid plastic. And they rubbed. These have bearings like a roller blade wheels. There are two slightly different lengths of bolts provided. These wheels are fabulous!! They are a hundred times better. Honestly the hardest part was drilling out the existing ones. Worth every penny!

The new wheels appear to be at least as robust and functional as the original ones. However, it would be useful to provide some tips on getting the old wheels off, and on installing the new ones. e.g. are the washers supplied necessary to install?
I'm so glad I could avoid junking my big suitcase. The new wheels and steel.hardware will last for years, I'm sure. I had to be careful to measure the originals carefully, to order a pretty-close fit replacement. Width , diameter. Note: to remove the original , I had to enlist a friend. We used a Sawsall and vicegrips. Eventually we cut off the broken wheel shafts.
