We got a replacement scale because the original one after a few weeks started to go up in measurement on its own after using the tare function rendering it inaccurate and useless. The replacement started having the same issue immediately. I am not happy with how faulty this product is. I would hope the replacement would solve the issue instead of just adding to our problems.

Wanted to get the scale by Hario but this one was a little cheaper and goes up to 6lbs, good for everything in the kitchen, so I decided to get this instead.The silicone mat it comes with does help so there's no slipping and sliding. In hindsight, I'm not sure why I splurged on a scale in this price range, feel like the ones in the teens ($) may work just as well. But these dedicated coffee scales have timers on them and it does come handy.My only (sort of) complaint is that it turns on very easily. I have it in a drawer and it turns on easily when I need to move the scale. It's not a big deal but I definitely would use better quality or rechargeable batteries with it.

I thought there's not much difference between kitchen scale+phone and a coffee scale until I purchased this. Besides its extra accuracy, it helps me to concentrate on the process without constantly looking at different screens. 3kg capacity can take care of most kitchen measurements so it almost replaced my regular kitchen scale. I also like it shows the overall weight compared to its limit. Hope it does not require battery (USB or type-c instead), but overall it's a great scale!

Pretty good scale. I use it for coffee so it is nice that it’s accurate to 0.1 of a gram. Some small nitpicks are that it is sometimes “laggy” for lack of a better word. It can’t always detect small changes in weight, but it only really happens with less than a gram of weight so it’s not a big deal. Also the buttons are sometimes hard to press. It says so lightly tap but even so it sometimes doesn’t work, you have to press it just right. However these are just small nitpicks as previously mentioned. The pros outweigh the cons by a long shot and I would definitely recommend this scale.
This is my second Good Grips scale and it’s perfect. OXO recently replaced my old one due to a dead pixel in the display. It’s accurate, easy to use, and looks great.
This was not an inexpensive item. I was disappointed that it didn’t work properly. I ordered directly from OXO to avoid shipping problems. But it came in a big box with no other packing materials and it was bouncing around inside the box. A replacement was shipped free of charge and the new one does work, though it came packaged the exact same way. But I hate that a brand new product has to spend eternity in my local landfill. I would have preferred to ship it back. A waste.
I bought this to bake bread and pizza dough. I wanted to weigh salt and yeast as well as the bread and water and my previous scale would not even weigh the little paper cups I use to stage my materials, much less weigh 5g of yeast. The first thing I did was weigh one of my paper cups, putting in on the scale several times. 1.7g every time. When I made my pizza dough with it it seemed to have no problem registering the weight of a 1/4 tsp of yeast as I spooned it into the cup, it took several tiny spoons to get up to 5 grams. My next test will be to weigh out 500 grams of flour and then tare the scale and see if it will register the 5g of yeast and 15g of salt as I add it in a bit at a time. I like this scale for pretty much everything. The only gripe is the lack of battery indicator. I’ll be in the middle of making coffee with it and it’ll clear the display to tell me the battery is low and then turns off. So whatever timer or weight you had on the scale at that moment is lost. Other than that it’s great.
This scale is very sensitive - to 0.1g. Robust enough that I can tare my KitchenAid stainless mixer bowl and add ingredients direct. Like the fact that you can easily switch from Kg to g to lbs t oz with a simple touch. Takes a bit to get used to the on/off button. The scale takes about 5 seconds to initialize when first turned on. Almost instant response after. Really good scale for baking.
I have previously owned a scale that was out of balance, i.e. not sitting correctly on its legs. And it was a pain. This OXO scale is stable, easy to use and precise (to the tenth of a gram). A minor observation though: the touchpad could be just a bit more reactive, as you need to press a couple of tenths of seconds supplementary to initiate command/function. Otherwise, I am very happy with this scale!
