OXO had become synonymous with quality product design in my mind. I already have the stainless steel jigger and the hawthorn strainer. Finally decided it was time to up my bar game and got this for the channel peeler. So far it’s made beautiful, perfectly deep strings of citrus to add to my cocktails. The handle is just the right size to fit comfortably in my hand. This is a win in my books!

This product is excellent and well worth the money! Both the zester and the channel knife work brilliantly. My old zester went straight in the bin! Makes easy work of the task and is ideal when a Christmas cake recipe calls for orange zest. Well done Lakeland!

If I'm not using the microplane to zest my fruit, this little gadget gets the job done.Used it multiple times on oranges and lemons for smoothies, sauces, and testing how long I can get the peel. No slipping and easy to clean. I agree that the width is perfect but the handle could be a tiny bit longer.
I never thought I would need a zester since I have a separate microplane and a peeler, but this little zester is so much easier to use and creates such wonderful spirals and strips of zest. I love making pretty garnishes with it. The top is wonderful for creating zest for baked goods, and creates nice little strips, unlike a microplane, and the spiral feature is perfect for cocktails. This tool is quite sharp and I was surprised at the clean lines while cutting. I love that Oxo makes products I never realized I needed, but that have become super useful tools in my kitchen.
I originally needed a zester for ONE fancy drink recipe and was pretty sure I’d never use it again.... but when I got it, and realized how easy (and FUN!) it was to make festive, fancy little garnishes and additions to my cocktails, fruit salads, desserts and baking, I wondered why I hadn’t had one all along!!!You can make both a fine, delicate zest for baking, and larger, citrus peel spirals or curls (maybe there’s a fancy name for them?) for garnishing drinks, (Old-Fashioned, anyone?)I’m impressed with how easy this zester is to use and clean, but also how nice the “zest” or curls turn out. Definitely recommend! Even if you didn’t know you needed it, you really do!
The OXO Good Grips Zester is a small fits-well-in-your-hand tool. After roasting asparagus, it was perfect for making lemon, lime, and orange zest as a garnish. The zest is large enough to see, looks impressive, and it is well separated - not mush! It works well to make “twists” as a garnish for drinks - flavored waters and teas. However, I would not use it if I needed to make large amounts of zest for recipes or freezing, as it would be very time consuming. It is best used for garnishing, and for that, it works very well. Cleans up easily! Always a plus!
My husband had been looking for this simple, yet effective zester for months. It’s the kind we’ve been using for decades. No frills. Simply efficient and dependable.We prefer shopping in store whenever possible so we can see, touch, compare in real time. It’s saddens us that so much is online Only. The associates are always so pleasant and helpful. I hope our location never closes. So many of my housewares come from BB&B.
I really enjoyed using this Citrus Zester and I would buy it again. The handle was comfortable. It was very sharp which made it a breeze to use. Both parts, the zester and channel knife were equally as sharp. Usually citrus zesters are dull, so you really have to use elbow grease to get a great result, but not this product. I washed the lime and noticed that the metal got the fruit's wax on it. It was a bit hard to clean off, but it doesn't effect how I feel about this product.
This was offered to me for free. I had lost my previous Oxo zester, which I loved, during a move and had never replaced it. Was excited that I could get one in this program. The zester part works very well; the channel knife seems a little dull. It works but takes a little more force than my previous one needed
