I must admit, OXO gave me this cutting board in an exchange for an honest review.I like the fact that it is a decent size(14 1/2 inches by 10 1/2). Plus the fact it is dishwasher friendly.I have a larger wooden cutting board that I like, but is problematic to get really clean after use.This one fits right on top of my wood board and I can do my prep work in the same space.The OXO board is hard plastic. I have had several similar cutting boards before but this one is definitely superior. It’s the perfect size to fit on my counter when I need to chop or slice food. The board grips well to my quartz countertop. However, my favorite feature is that one side is grooved and the other isn’t. I use the smooth side for fruits and vegetables and save the grooved side for when I am slicing meat where juices might otherwise run off the board.

I'm glad I replaced my current one with this board! I will be honest from the pictures it looked thinker than the one I had, also it didn't have a hole in it to hang! Also, I read one review that lower my expectation a little!When I opened it and start using it, I immediately loved it! First, it looks great! I love the size! It's a little wider than my last one! Second, it is very stable on my marvel table. Last, it is high quality and it's only going to add class to your kitchen.

This is the best cutting board I have. The groove around the edge collects unwanted juices and seeds, tiny stems, etc. into it help keep the mess at bay. The non-slip rubber feet keep the board in place when cutting thicker produce or meat. So far knife marks are NOT visible at all! I'm glad a bought two!

The dimensions are listed as 10.3 x 14.7 x 0.5 inches. The board is not 1/2 inch thick unless you include the rubber feet on each side of the board. The cutting board itself is 5/16th of an inch, just like the smaller boards. When cutting food, the board flexes until the board comes into contact with the counter top. Placing something like a thick wash cloth under the cutting board is needed to eliminate the flexing. A thicker board would help minimize the flexing.

I bought this months ago & thought it was great, so I bought another one for our summer home. I have better/sharper knives there. The board got gashes in it from the first use. I thought I had received a used board because how can cutting an apple or peach cause gashes? Carving meat was even worse! The grooves for collecting juices & the size are the only positives. I’ve had cutting boards—wooden & plastic—for 30-40 years that look newer than this new one. I won’t buy another.
